Abstract: To provide an exercise garment with crotch part that is capable of sufficiently improving performance of various types of exercises accompanied by three-dimensional movements such as rotation of the trunk and rotation/outward rotation/inward rotation of both legs. In an exercise garment with crotch part, when it is being worn, tightening forces of first tightening portions act on the muscle groups existing around the greater trochanter, so that the muscle groups are supported to broaden the extent of mobility of the pelvic band. On the other hand, on the inside of the closed-loop first tightening portions, the space between a first line and a second line gradually becomes wider toward the greater trochanter position, whereby a side hole is formed. Due to such formation of the side hole, the greater trochanter of the wearer is prevented from being pressed directly by the first tightening portions.

Abstract: A pad is disclosed that includes first and second outer layers. The outer layers include a plurality of channels at least partially filled with shear-thickening fluid. A shear layer is positioned between the first and second outer layers. The first and second outer layers may include first and second sheets that are bonded to one another in bonded portions and not bonded to one another in non-bonded portions such that the channels are defined by the non-bonded portions. The bonded portions may be perforated to facilitate air flow. The shear layer includes a lattice structure such as a plurality of rods extending between the first and second outer layers and oriented at a non-perpendicular angle to the outer layers. The rods themselves may be filled with shear-thickening fluid. The channels in the outer layers are criss-crossed to form a lattice or network in the plane of the outer layers.

Abstract: A paint suit. A hood is attached to the top of the suit. An elastic waistband and two elastic sleeves are also attached. A central vertical hook-and-loop fastener secures the paint suit onto the wearer. The paint suit includes a breast pocket and preferably four lower pockets. Two knee pads are built into the paint suit. The paint suit also includes two arm pit vents and a back vent.

Abstract: A multilayer fabric for selectively blocking or transmitting particular wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum, such solar radiation, and far infrared (FIR) radiation. The multilayer fabric may include a microporous water vapor permeable layer that selectively filters particular wavelengths depending on the size of its pores. In some embodiments, the multilayer fabric may include a nanostructured layer that selectively filters particular wavelengths.

Abstract: A waistband for an article of apparel includes a base layer that is resiliently elastic and that includes an inner surface, an outer surface, and an upper edge. The waistband also includes a mounting layer that is resiliently elastic and that includes a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is layered over and attached to the inner surface, the outer surface, and the upper edge of the base layer. The waistband also includes flocking that is mounted on the second surface of the mounting layer. The flocking is disposed on the waistband to face a wearer of the article of apparel.

Abstract: A method for forming a combination of natural and artificial hair on a person's head without a braid foundation includes the steps of providing a wefted hair extension having artificial hair, a sew-in needle and a thread pair extending therefrom. The method includes parting the person's natural hair so as to form a plurality of adjacent hair root sections forming a starter knot about a starter root section by looping the thread pair about the starter root section using the sew-in needle. A foundation is created laterally across a person's head along the part line by repeatedly looping the thread pair around respective hair root sections between the starter and ending root sections. Then, the wefted hair extension is sewn to the foundation track using the sew-in needle and the thread pair so as to form a combination of natural and artificial hair extending from the person's head.

Abstract: A network device including document, design, aggregation and production texture modules. The document module generates a 2D design document that includes non-aggregated texture islands (NTIs). Each of the NTIs corresponds to a pattern of a product. The NTIs include at least two versions of one of the NTIs. The design module adds an artwork image across at least two of the NTIs. The aggregation module aggregates the at least two versions of the NTIs and generates a final aggregated texture image based on the 2D design document. The final aggregated texture image includes final aggregated texture islands (FATIs). Each of the FATIs is distinctive from the other ones of the FATIs. The production texture module, based on the final aggregated texture image, generates a production texture that includes islands, which are scaled to match an actual size of a respective pattern to be transferred on fabric for the product.

Abstract: A helmet with wireless sensor system for monitoring of surrounding objects. The helmet with wireless sensor system comprises a wireless sensor transceiver with a number of patch antennas to transmit a particular signal and receive reflected signals from surrounding objects; a processing unit located in a main shoulder pad communicating through radio frequency with a helmet uses the information from reflected signal received by wireless sensor transceiver to calculate the speed, distance, and direction of the object to determine when and where an impact will occur; and a number of inflatable/deflatable pads installed on the helmet and external to the helmet that will be activated prior to an impact.

One or more structures for applying a force to the strap member(s) is provided so as to shorten a length of the continuous path and thereby apply tension to the strap member(s). Such strap systems can be arranged so that the strap tightens during plantar flexion or dorsiflexion. Additional aspects of this invention relate to bootie members for supporting such strap systems, upper members or bootie members including such strap systems, and articles of footwear and other foot-receiving devices including such strap systems.

Abstract: A fastening unit includes a base, a fixing seat, two shaft seats, a main body, an engaging member, and an abutting member. The fixing seat and the two shaft seats are disposed on the base. The main body is detachably disposed on the two shaft seats. The engaging member is connected to the side of the main body that is away from the two shaft seats. The abutting member protrudes from the bottom surface of the main body. When the fastening unit is in a closed state, the engaging member engages with the fixing seat. As a result, the bottom surface faces the base, and the abutting member is adjacent to the base. When the fastening unit is transferred from the closed state to an opened state, the engaging member disengages from the fixing seat, and the main body pivots relative to the two shaft seats.

Abstract: The inventive concept presented herein is a t-handle folding cane that when extended for walking appears to be a standard t-handle cane. However when the cane is folded, it is designed to be hung from various horizontal surfaces such as a table top, a dresser with a lip, or a bookcase, etc. Embodiments include a) a clamp that has a slider jaw that allows the handle-bottom and slider jaw to be clamped to a table top, b) a slider jaw extension that extends the length of the slider jaw, c) a constant force spring, d) a handle modification that allows the handle to be extended so the cane is better balanced when hung from a table, and e) modifications to the shaft so a user's grip on the handle lies directly over the cane's point of contact to the ground.

The harness may have two shoulder straps that support a central, front buckle for use at about the lower, central belly of a user. A generally horizontal buckle strap has a fixed, rigid lower loop beneath a movable, flexible upper loop secured to the front of the buckle strap. The lower and upper loops are generally parallel, and close, to each other. Typically, the distance between the two loops is slightly more than the thickness of a lifter strap which is threaded between the two loops. Preferably, a set of two harnesses is used by two persons standing face-to-face with a single lifter strap between them threaded through both of the buckles.

The lanyard can be worn as a decorative three-dimensional ornament around the wearer's neck and used to store and display mini-figs that are adhered or secured to the raised studs.

Abstract: Laminate lanyards and methods for making the same are disclosed. The laminate lanyards may include a head formed from a reinforcing loop of yarn incorporated within a scrim. The head can be coupled to the head section of a body, which also includes a main section that forms the loop of the laminate lanyard. A gusset can be coupled to ends of the main section of the body to couple the two ends of the body together and facilitate opening and closing of the loop of the laminate lanyard. A slider may also be included in laminate lanyard for adjusting the size of the loop.

One embodiment includes a two-piece bracket that attaches a vertical panel adjacent to and extending upward from the top of a second vertical panel, the bracket forming two channels having openings in opposite directions. Another embodiment includes a two-piece bracket that holds two vertical wall panels together, the bracket including a U-shaped member and an L-shaped member connected to one another to form an S-shaped member. Another embodiment includes a two-piece bracket that receives the edge of a panel in a channel between the two pieces and includes a contact surface between the two pieces that is angled to increase the pressure exerted on the panel. Abstract: An office chair including a chair back assembly that is independently adjustable to adjust the vertical height of the chair back and to provide lumbar support. The chair back assembly includes a flexible back shell that is movable vertically along a back support yoke. The vertical movement of the flexible back shell adjusts the vertical height of the chair back assembly relative to the seat. The chair back assembly further includes a lumbar adjustment mechanism having an adjustment cable connected to a bottom end of the flexible back shell. Operation of the lumbar adjustment mechanism moves the bottom end of the flexible back shell vertically within a pair of spaced lower movement slots. The movement of the bottom end of the flexible back shell increases the amount that the flexible back shell protrudes from the back support yoke, thereby increasing the lumbar support.
