  • Patent number: 9618080
Abstract: A dispenser for balancing weights for vehicles comprises a plurality of dispenser modules. The dispenser modules have a cartridge with at least two compartments for storing balancing weights. Each compartment has at least one retrieval opening. A cartridge actuator moves the cartridge linearly along a first axis, such that a retrieval feed opening is positioned above a slider feed opening in the dispenser module. A slider, which is operated by a slider actuator along a second axis, parallel to the first axis, has a balancing weight compartment, which can be moved under the slider feed opening, such that a balancing weight may drop from the cartridge into the compartment. The compartment is then moved to a picking tray in which the balancing weight is delivered to a handling device for placing the balancing weight to a wheel.

Abstract: A SBW-ECU switches over a shift range to a selected range by rotationally driving a motor to a target position corresponding to the selected range. When a direction of rotation of the motor is the same as a direction toward the target position and a difference between the target position and a present position is larger than a threshold value in a case that the selected range is changed during rotational driving of the motor, the target position is updated to a post-change target position. When the direction of rotation of the motor is opposite to the direction toward the target position or the difference between the target position and the present position is smaller than the threshold value in the case that the selected range is changed during rotational driving of the motor, the target position is updated to the post-change target position after completing the switchover to the pre-change selected range.

Abstract: A hydraulic control system for a vehicle having a continuously variable transmission in which a torque transmitting capacity thereof is changed hydraulically, and an engagement device which is connected to the continuously variable transmission in series and in which a torque transmitting capacity thereof is changed hydraulically. The hydraulic control system comprises a selecting means that selects a command pattern for setting an engagement pressure of the engagement device out of a plurality of patterns when an initial pressure is lower than a steady pressure for a normal running of the vehicle. The selecting means is configured to select the command pattern in such a manner that the torque transmitting capacity of the engagement device does not exceeds the torque transmitting capacity of the continuously variable transmission, based on at least any of conditions of the initial pressure that is lowered to be lower than the steady pressure, and a rotational speed of the continuously variable transmission.

Abstract: A piston assembly for a nailer is provided, and includes a piston body with an upper surface, a lower surface and a peripheral edge. A peripheral gland is located between the upper and lower surfaces, the gland having an inner closed end and defining an annular space. An annular piston seal is disposed in the gland, and a plurality of spaced air ports are disposed adjacent the peripheral edge, the ports each being in fluid communication with the gland. The gland and the seal are dimensioned so that during a power cycle of the nailer, pressurized air generated during a fastener driving stroke enters the ports and radially expands the seal for enhancing friction between the seal and a surrounding cylinder. During a return stroke, the seal is radially retracted within the gland to reduce friction between the seal and the cylinder.
