Abstract: The disclosed invention describes a device and means for removing weeds and the like from the ground. The device is a simply attachment for a drill. The device comprises a body with a shaft protruding from the center and at least two prongs protruding from the opposite side of the body at distances equidistant from the center. The free end of the shaft is placed into a drill and the prongs are forced into the ground so that they are placed around a weed. The user operates the drill, spinning the prongs around the weed. The prongs entangle the weeds roots and bore a small hole in the ground, allowing the user to easily remove the weed. The prongs are then placed into the ground close to the hole and the drill is slowly operated, thus refilling the hole.

Abstract: A stump grinding wheel assembly having a disk-like wheel body. A plurality of bilateral mounting stations integral with the wheel body and arranged into spiral cluster groups. Each spiral cluster having an inner mounting station and at least one middle mounting station and an outer mounting station. The inner mounting stations are thicker than the middle mounting stations, which are thicker than the outer mounting stations. A pair of opposing side-cutters are disposed on each left and right side of the mounting stations. A separate plunge-cutter may be included with each spiral cluster. The bilateral mounting stations produce conically-helical cutting paths using identical side-cutters. The unequal width of the inner and middle and outer mounting stations enables better management of cutting forces in side cutting mode, which produces smoother operation.

Abstract: Hybrid hydroponic plant growing systems are designed specifically for urban home, community and small farm gardening without the need for arable soil or broadcast irrigation. The innovative hybrid hydroponic systems provide a “hybrid” growing environment including a limited, containerized amount of soil-like growing media combined with soluble fertilizer creating a hydroponic nutrient solution. The use of containerized growing media allows the units to be utilized regardless of the availability of arable soil, irrigation water, or runoff capacity. Multiple hydroponic techniques, such as drip system, nutrient wicking, ebb-and-flow, and/or deep water culture are combined to optimize plant nutrition at different stages of plant growth. Incremental fertilization, water monitoring, and drain systems are designed for easy use by non-professional gardeners. Water recirculation minimizes water use and fertilizer runoff. The units are easily adapted to solar and other off-grid power techniques.

Abstract: A system for controlling the operation of a moving irrigation system lengthens the period of the on-and-off cycle specified by the speed timer to drive the pivot arm assembly. This reduces the frequency of the on-and-off cycles and thereby reduces wear and tear on the drive components. To modify the cycle period, a processor determines a modified on-time and a modified off-time having the same ratio of on-time to off-time as the speed timer to maintain the same average speed for the pivot arm assembly. The processor then controls operation of the pivot arm assembly to move in an on-and-off manner using the modified on-time and modified off-time.

Abstract: A symbiotic aquaponic growth system is a system for growing plants. An aquaculture reservoir holds water and aquatic animals. Water and waste is transported to a filtering germination tray that serves to hold germinating seeds as well as to filter solid waste from the water. Plants are supported in a tubular growing member that rotates due to water flowing from the filtering germination tray onto the tubular growing member. The aquaculture reservoir, the filtering germination tray, and the tubular growing member are contained within an enclosure that may be closed via a lid and a shuttered door. Water is transported from the aquaculture reservoir to the filtering germination tray through a fluid distribution assembly. Water and nutrients are provided to plants in the tubular growing member by dipping the plant roots into the aquaculture reservoir as well by the water falling onto the plant roots from the filtering germination tray.

The first receptacle includes a first filter and a second filter. The second receptacle includes a first aperture and a second aperture. Fluid can enter the second receptacle through the first aperture and drain from the second receptacle through the second aperture to the second filter in the first receptacle. The system may include a pump configured to pump fluid from the first receptacle through the first filter to the first aperture of the second receptacle. Moreover, the system may include barriers that at least partially obstruct fluid flow between the first aperture and the second aperture. Each of the barriers includes a plurality of perforations located along a width of the barrier; each of the plurality of perforations allows fluid to flow through the barrier.
