Abstract: An article of footwear includes an outsole having a base with an upper surface that faces the upper and a lower surface that faces away from the upper surface. The outsole also includes a first stepped projection that projects in a plurality of first steps from the lower surface. The plurality of first steps is defined by a plurality of first tread surfaces and a plurality of first riser surfaces. The outsole additionally includes a second stepped projection that projects in a plurality of second steps from the lower surface. The plurality of second steps is defined by a plurality of second tread surfaces and a plurality of second riser surfaces. The second stepped projection is spaced away from the first stepped projection relative to the lateral axis of the article of footwear.

Abstract: An insole assembly for use in footwear is provided. The insole assembly generally includes a full-length insole base made of a flexible and resilient material (e.g., resiliently compressible foam), and a heel cap made of a generally rigid material (e.g., a carbon fiber reinforced polymer) which is attached to the insole base and mimics the contours thereof to provide proper biomechanical support of the heel and arch areas of a foot in a particularly lightweight and sleek form factor.

Abstract: A multilayer insole for removable placement in an article of footwear, the multilayer insole including a bottom insole layer having a top side, a top insole layer having an underside, an intermediate layer that is (a) an insole material layer, (b) a flexible circuit layer or (c) a bonding region for joining the bottom insole layer with the top insole layer, a location data receiving means for receiving an input signal relating to a location of the insole, and a location data transmitting means for transmitting an output signal relating to the location of the insole, wherein the location data receiving means and the location data transmitting means are both integrally associated with the multilayer insole. Also provided are a unitary insole, data transfer systems and methods of using them involving the different insoles and methods of manufacturing the different insoles.

The medial heel member and the lateral heel member may be disposed on a sole structure. The medial heel member may have a first rigidity and the lateral heel member may have a second rigidity that is different from the first rigidity. The difference in rigidity may provide different levels of support to a wearer's heel region. The medial heel member may extend from a medial edge of the sole structure to a rearward edge of the sole structure. The lateral heel member may extend from a lateral edge of the sole structure to the rearward edge of the sole structure.

Abstract: Described are shoe uppers in which at least a portion thereof is formed of a multilayered material. The multilayered material includes at least one nonwoven fiber layer with unidirectionally oriented fibers and a matrix material, wherein the multilayered material has elastic properties that allow the multilayered material to deform when stretched over a three dimensional mold.

Abstract: A charm attachment for a shoe heel to removably attach at least one charm to a rear side of a shoe heel including a cylindrical anchor member and V-shaped pairs of barbs to secure the anchor member onto the shoe heel. A charm engagement member of the anchor member disposed on the rearward end is configured to retain at least one charm on the central body proximal the shoe heel and is spiral shaped to prevent slippage of each charm from the anchor member and to provide a grip by which to insert the anchor member into the shoe heel. An interval between the guiding portions-near the engaged portions is wider than an interval between the squeezing portions near the engaged portions. An inclination angle of each guiding portion to an insertion direction of the plug is smaller than an inclination angle of each of the squeezing portion to the insertion direction.

Abstract: A system of attachment surface structures that find their best use in the form of repeatedly removable straps and bands for securing one object to another. The surfaces are preferably constructed of narrow sheets of flexible polymer plastic materials having generally high tensile strength. A first embodiment includes shaped parallel ridges on one surface that interlock with mating parallel ridges on an opposing surface. These parallel ridges may be double sided (interlocking on both sides of each shaped ridge with the next shaped ridge on either side) or single sided (interlocking with a single ridge oriented 180 degrees from the first). Further embodiments include an array of shaped posts of various regular geometric shapes that interlock with an opposing array of identical posts.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a jewelry element which includes two layers—a cladding layer and a substrate layer, each layer being its own alloy. The cladding layer and the substrate layer each include a base metal such as silver or gold at the same percentages so that the resulting jewelry element can be labeled in accordance with one or more industry-wide requirements. The cladding layer is further enhanced by introduction of a metal providing additional hardness when included in the alloy. By limiting the “hardness” metal or metals to being deposed only in the cladding layer, less of the hardness metal need be used, thereby reducing cost yet retaining the requisite hardness characteristic. Each of the alloys may further contain other metals for any of a number of reasons, including but not limited to, tarnish resistance.

A rider member is interconnected in driving relation to the canopy assembly and is reciprocally movable along the length of the drive gear upon rotational, driving engagement of the crank handle with the gear assembly. Concurrent, cooperative directions of linear movement of the rider member and a rotational movement of the crank handle is determinative of the positioning of the canopy assembly in either the open or closed orientations.

Abstract: A multi-layered foil appliqué for decorating nails is cut from a laminated sheet having the following layers: a first adhesive layer residing on a releasable substrate; a base coat residing on the first adhesive layer; a UV-curable adhesive layer residing on the base coat; a foil layer residing on the UV-curable adhesive layer; and a top coat residing on the foil layer. The foil is applied to the UV-curable adhesive layer by contact between the metallic side of a metallized plastic sheet and the adhesive before the adhesive is cured. The bottom coat and top coat are formed from organic solvent-based nail enamels. Sufficient solvent remains in the appliqué to keep it stretchable before use. Residual solvent evaporates after the appliqué is applied to a user's nail.

Abstract: A double colored nail appliqué, method of manufacturing and using, the appliqué having two different decorations sequentially via the user removing the top coat of a second colored enamel layer to expose an underlying base coat with a different, first colored enamel layer. The base coat is covered by a UV adhesive layer that protects it during the removal of the top coat. The nail appliqué may further comprise a metallic foil layer directly above or below the UV layer; a design imprinted on the top or bottom coat of enamel; and, a clear coat of enamel covering the top coat. Removal of the top coat(s) by the user does not damage the underlying coats/layers. Therefore, one nail appliqué can be used to offer two different appearing manicures without having to apply a new nail appliqué.

These are supported on electrically actuated telescoping pedestals to allow the user to select and adjust the elevation of the work platforms individually. The adjustable shelf support members have set-off lugs which are inserted and locked into slots in a recessed race located in the vertical walls of the cabinet. The front portion of the adjustable locking shelf support member protrudes into the cabinet toward the front has a channel that, together with the cooperating adjustable locking shelf support member located on the opposite side vertical wall of the cabinet, accepts a shelf made of glass or other material. The adjustable shelf support members can be removed and replaced throughout the cabinet in other slots evenly spaced in a vertical orientation in the recessed race of the vertical walls of the cabinet.
