Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display method and a display device. The method includes: receiving a picture sent by a user for being displayed in a first display layer; overlapping the picture and a second display layer including icons; when the color contrast of the icon in a first area of the second display layer being overlapped onto the picture displayed in a first area of the first display layer is less than a first preset threshold, adjusting the color contrast in the first area, so that the adjusted color contrast is greater than a second preset threshold, the second threshold being greater than or equal to the first threshold. The present disclosure solves the problem of the prior art that a functional icon cannot be recognized by a user when the colors of the background picture and the functional icon are consistent, improves the display visibility of the icon.

Abstract: A method for reconstructing a three-dimensional image dataset from two-dimensional projection images includes recording the projection images using a collimator downstream of an X-ray source. A local Laplace filter is initially applied to the projection data of the projection images during the reconstruction using filtered back-projection. After this, high-frequency spikes arising in the Laplace-filtered projection data at boundaries to the image region are removed by a spike filter, and a global residual filter is applied. A fit parameter describing a fit function approximating the projection data characteristic in the uncorrected projection images inside the image region is determined based on at least marginal values of the projection data present at the boundaries. Next, following on from the use of the residual filter, an additive correction of the residual-filtered projection data in the image region is performed with the fit function scaled by a scaling factor.

Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to methods for reconstruction for bioluminescence tomography based on a method of multitask Bayesian compressed sensing in the field of medical image processing. The method includes the following operations. Firstly the high order approximation model is used to model the law of light propagation in biological tissues, then the inner-correlation among multispectral measurements is researched based on multitask learning method and incorporated into a reconstruction algorithm of bioluminescence tomography as prior information to reduce ill-posedness of BLT reconstruction, and then on this basis, three-dimensional reconstruction of bioluminescent source is realized. Compared with other reconstruction algorithms for BLT, the correlation among multispectral measurements is incorporated into the disclosure and the ill-posedness of BLT reconstruction is reduced.

Abstract: A capability to visualize temporal aspects of serial processes is provided. A process model of a serial process that includes a plurality of events and a plurality of stages is generated. The process model represents each of one or more instances of the serial process as a series of nodes. Each node represents an event and a time at which the event occurred in an instance of the serial process. For each stage of the serial process, a time-coordinate of a first node and a time-coordinate of a second node are altered while maintaining a difference in time between the first and second nodes. A common point lies between the first and second nodes as a result of altering the time-coordinates. A visualization of the process models is presented such that, for each stage of the serial process, a plurality of line segments intersect at the common point.

Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for cross-platform data visualizations using common descriptions. Embodiments of the invention provide mechanisms for simplifying software development and enhanced code reliability. A user interface, along with interactive and dynamic characteristics, can be described (programmatically and/or declaratively) independently of any specific device platform. User interface qualities can be described using a generic scene graph structure with attached behaviors. The generic scene graph can then be used to drive the user interface on any number of different computing platforms using platform specific (e.g., rendering, gesture recognition, etc.) sub-systems. Platform specific sub-systems can vary based on technologies that are used by the platform specific sub-systems. For example, rendering sub-systems can vary based on the technology used to render graphical data, such as, for example, Open GL, XAML, Direct X, Quartz, etc.

Abstract: In various implementations, methods and systems are disclosed for accurately selecting a targeted portion of a digital image. In one embodiment, a selection cursor having a central and a peripheral region is provided. The central region is used to force a selection or a deselection and therefore moving the central region over a portion of the image causes that portion of the image to be selected or deselected, respectively. The peripheral region of the cursor surrounds the central region and defines an area where a hybrid level set algorithm for both boundary detection and region definition, particularly a matting region, is performed. This provides highly accurate boundary detection and matting region selection within a narrowly-focused peripheral region and eliminates the need to subsequently designate a matting region and apply a matting algorithm to complex portions of an object selection.

First, second, and third images are determined, which are the closest three images in the plurality of images to a desired image location in the light field. A first set of candidate transformations is identified between the first and second images, and a second set of candidate transformations is identified between the first and third images. For each pixel location in the desired image location, first and second best pixel values are calculated using the first and second set of candidate transformations, respectively, and the first and second best pixel values are blended to form an interpolated pixel.

The user interface may be users of varying levels of expertise, while retaining the freedom of authoring complex narratives in an animation. A given narrative may be constrained by user input related to one or more of events to occur in an animation, individual animation components that may be included in the events, and/or other input. Abstract: In various embodiments of the present invention, a blending engine blends multiple surfaces included in a three-dimensional (3D) model of an object. First, the blending engine trims off portions of the surfaces that are targeted for blending at trimming curves to generate trimmed surfaces. The blending engine then constructs a single parametric blending surface via a unified parametrization for the trimming curves. Notably, to achieve the unified parametrization, the blending engine performs one or more spherical parametrization operations that generate parametrized curves based on the trimming curves and a fundamental sphere. After constructing the parametric blending surface based on the parametrized curves, the blending engine joins the parametric blending surface to the trimmed surfaces to produce a final, smooth intersection between the surfaces.

The object is semantically segmented from the sequence of images using a trained neural network to form a sequence of segmented object images, which are then refined using fine-grained segmentation. On-the-fly interpolation parameters are computed and stereoscopic pairs are generated for points along the camera translation from the refined sequence of segmented object images for displaying the object as a 3D projection in a virtual reality or augmented reality environment. Segmented image indices are then mapped to a rotation range for display in the virtual reality or augmented reality environment.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, devices, methods, and computer-readable media for reconstructing a 3D scene are described. A server device, sensor devices, and client devices may interoperate to reconstruct a 3D scene sensed by the sensor devices. The server device may generate one or more models for objects in the scene, including the identification of dynamic and/or static objects. The sensor devices may, provide model data updates based on these generated models, such that only delta changes in the scene may be provided, in addition to raw sensor data. Models may utilize semantic knowledge, such as knowledge of the venue or identity of one or more persons in the scene, to further facilitate model generation and updating. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Abstract: A virtual dressing method includes the following steps. A three-dimensional user image and a body characteristic parameter are stored in a data storage carrier. A clothing image and a clothing characteristic parameter are read from a database. The body characteristic parameter and the three-dimensional user image are read from the data storage carrier. The body characteristic parameter is compared with the clothing characteristic parameter to generate a corresponding relationship. A three-dimensional virtual image is generated based on the corresponding relationship, the clothing image, and the three-dimensional user image. The three-dimensional virtual image is displayed.

Abstract: A method and system provide the ability to modify a three-dimensional (3D) model in a shape editing system. The 3D model is obtained and faces of the model are selected as features (S). A subset (S?) of the model that are fixed are selected. Shape modification operations to be performed are prescribed. A deformation lattice is constructed by setting up a lattice structure with control points. Parametric space (u,v,w) is defined in terms of vertices of the lattice structure. Euclidean space (x,y,z) of the 3D model is mapped to the parametric space (u,v,w). The deformation lattice is evaluated by selecting control points, and either affine transformations are applied directly to the selected control points, or the deformation lattice is deformed based on a discrete fitting problem. The evaluated deformed model is then output.
