Abstract: A computer implemented method for decomposing a layout of a portion of an integrated circuit is presented. The layout includes a first multitude of polygons. The method includes constructing, using the computer, a first matrix representative of a first multitude of constraints. Each of the first multitude of constraints is between a different pair of the first multitude of polygons. The method includes solving, using the computer, the first matrix to thereby assign one of a multitude of masks to each different one of the first multitude of polygons, when the computer is invoked to decompose the layout.

Abstract: A method for determining a sequence of a target nucleic acid is described. The method uses a plurality of control oligonucleotides with known sequence and unique identifications to map hybridization signals associated with a plurality of sequencing probes to a loosely packed multi-dimensional dye space, such that a region in the dye space can be associated with one or more sequencing probes. When a detected target hybridization signal of a sequencing probe and a target nucleic acid is mapped to the multi-dimensional dye space, the sequencing probe and thus the corresponding nucleotides in the target nucleic acid can be determined based on the one or more sequencing probes associated with the region that the detected target hybridization signal is mapped to.

Abstract: A method for finding the optimal schedule and route to visit all constrained and unconstrained nodes of a graph only once while respecting the associated time windows and system constraints. The constrained nodes are first grouped in clusters based on their time windows and system constraints. Then, unconstrained nodes are optimally assigned to the clusters by using a greedy heuristic. Subsequently, enumeration is used to solve the TDTSPTW by cluster. Once all clusters are solved, the paths are joined and a local search heuristic is used to improve the solution. The result of the method is an ordered set of nodes to be visited with their associated start times.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for simulation of occluded arteries and/or optimization of occlusion-based treatments. One method includes obtaining a patient-specific anatomic model of a patient's vasculature; obtaining an initial computational model of blood flow through the patient's vasculature based on the patient-specific anatomic model; obtaining a post-treatment computational model by modifying portions of the initial computational model based on an occlusion-based treatment; generating a pre-treatment blood flow characteristic using the initial computational model or computing a post-treatment blood flow using the post-treatment computational model; and outputting a representation of the pre-treatment blood flow characteristic or the post-treatment blood flow characteristic.

Abstract: A medication administration and tracking system is described. The system is equipped with an electric medication dispenser configured to administer medication to a patient in a hospital bed without intervention from hospital staff. The dispenser is configured to allocate safe doses of prescribed or over-the-counter medications to a patient upon request by the patient. At least one method of biometric authentication is employed to solely permit access to the medication to the patient upon confirmation of his or her identity. A camera disposed on the dispenser is configured to witness the patient take the medication, and track the time and date of consumption. The medications administered are preferably equipped with a tracking sensor to help track medication levels within the patient, and monitor treatment efficacy.

Abstract: A medication system includes a control module that determines when a medication is removed from a central pharmacy or a medication base station. The medication is carried by the healthcare professional and/or placed in a mobile workstation. A remote medication database, separate from a central inventory database associated with the healthcare facility, stores information about a total stock of the medication and respective stock quantities of the medication located in the central pharmacy, in the medication base station, carried by the healthcare professional, and/or placed in the mobile workstation. The total stock and the respective stock quantities are updated by the control module in response to a determination that that medication was removed from the central pharmacy or the medication base station. The control module updates the remote medication database in response to the medication being administered and updates the central inventory database.

Abstract: Methods and systems for determining that a medical delivery device has been activated may be provided. According to certain aspects, a user captures a first image to determine if a medical delivery device is ready to be activated. The first image is transmitted to a health care provider which verifies that the medical delivery device should be activated. If the medical delivery device is to be activated, an electronic device instructs the user to activate the medical delivery device. Subsequently, the user transmits details about the activation of the medical delivery device to the health care provider to update a medical record.
