  • Patent number: 9719618
Abstract: An annular sealing material seals a pipe joint between a socket and a spigot. The sealing material includes a bulb part which is composed of a first bulb, a second bulb located closer to the inner side of the socket than the first bulb, and a narrow part present between the first and second bulbs. The first bulb is pressed against the inner circumferential surface of the socket. The second bulb is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the spigot. The second bulb is inclined towards the pipe center from the first bulb in a natural state before it is provided between the socket and the spigot. The inner diameter of the second bulb is smaller than the outer diameter of the spigot in the natural state. The second bulb is extensible in the pipe diameter direction due to elastic deformation of the narrow part.

Abstract: A clamp assembly for temporarily applying compressive force to a flange connection assembly, such as a bolted pipe flange. Frame members are pivotally attached to interconnecting linkage members to form an elongate assembly having joinable ends. When installed around the circumference of a flange connection assembly, interchangeable cuff members removably attached to the frame members apply compressive forces to a flange connection assembly in order to facilitate a fluid-pressure seal.

  • Patent number: 9719621
Abstract: In a snap tap forming method, a partition wall formed along a curvature of a water pipe outer peripheral wall surface is brought into hermetical pressure contact with the water pipe outer peripheral wall and is mounted on the outer peripheral wall at a position corresponding to an inflow opening portion of a gate valve and at which a snap tap of the water pipe is formed. A center drill guide small hole aligned with the snap tap axis is drilled in a center portion of partition wall. A drilling machine inserted in a water flow sleeve of the gate valve is inserted into the aforementioned small hole. A water diverting port is formed in the partition wall and a peripheral wall of the water pipe using a core drill by advancing the drilling machine while estimating a drilling center. Then the drilling machine is removed from a water flow passage in the gate valve, and the snap tap is connected to the water diverting port by a snap tap attaching tool.

  • Patent number: 9719625
Abstract: A pig handling device has a housing, a cavity found in the housing in which a pig can be received, a connection by means of which the cavity is connectable to a processing system, the connection suitable for allowing the pig to pass through, and a handling element that is arranged in the cavity, influences the mobility of the pig in the cavity, and has a base element and a functional element. The base element has a first surface, and the functional element is connected to the base element in the cavity and has a second surface. The arrangement improves cleanability in that the handling element has a concavely curved transition surface arranged between the first surface and the second surface and having a core curvature region, and in that the base element and the functional element are bonded to one another outside of the core curvature region.

  • Patent number: 9719626
Abstract: An insulation system insulating a carrier conduit carrying a hot gas or liquid, buried in permafrost, allows expansion and contraction of said carrier conduit, and directionally disperses heat from the conduit minimizing thawing of permafrost. A carrier conduit carries a gas or liquid. A carrier insulation encases the carrier conduit. An outer conduit encases the carrier insulation. The outer conduit top portion includes two symmetrical flanges integrally formed on two sides of said outer conduit. An outer insulation partially encases the outer conduit. There is no outer insulation on the upper part of outer conduit; and thus, outer conduit top portion remains selectively uncovered. Any heat escaping through the carrier insulation, travels in a circumferential direction along the outer conduit and not in a radial direction because of outer insulation. The heat escapes in the soil above the insulated conduit, protecting the permafrost.
