Abstract: Traps, devices, systems, compositions, and methods for trapping bed bugs, and similar insects with sticky traps having a smooth perimeter surface around the sticky surface, where the smooth perimeter surface can be abraded to a selected texture having both smoothness and roughness qualities. The surfaces are textured so that bed bugs are not able to use the surfaces to pull themselves from the sticky surface, and the textured surface is not so smooth as to cause the bed bugs to avoid the textured surface.

Abstract: An agricultural sprayer assembly includes a wheeled carriage, a chassis, and a spray delivery system. The wheeled carriage has a number of adjustable support legs (e.g., four), each formed of hydraulically coupled and actuated upper and lower leg sections or members. The chassis is supported on the wheeled carriage, at an adjustable clearance height defined by the operational height of the support legs. The spray delivery system includes a spray boom coupled to a boom support, and an actuator coupled to the boom support and the chassis. The actuator is configured to adjust the height of the spray boom with respect to the clearance height of the chassis.

Abstract: An autonomous spraying platform is provided. The autonomous spraying platform has a main frame platform supported by a first and a second wheel in tandem. Supported by the main frame platform and extended perpendicular thereto are extended booms having multiple movable and/or telescoping arms which touch the ground on each side by small wheels for balance and sensing of the ground. Liquids, foams or powders, which may carry pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, fertilizers or other pro-growth ingredients, may be dispensed across the bottom edge of the extended booms. The main frame platform may be controlled locally by sensors utilizing GPS (or other positioning technology) or remotely by a computer or even alive operator. The device may allow for real-time precise delivery of pro-growth materials to plants.

Abstract: A lawn treatment apparatus, system and method employs a scanning apparatus to detect the presence of an area to be selectively treated with an herbicide, pesticide or fungicide. The apparatus includes a multicompartmental cartridge that holds different chemicals and selectively applies the chemicals to the area of the lawn requiring treatment.

Abstract: An improved rodent trap having a base, hammer bar, hold down bar, spring for the hammer bar, a latch member for the hold down bar and a bait member for holding the bait thereon just as a conventional rodent trap, and, also containing a glue area on either end of the trap wherein the platform has a cut-out area or receptacle area therein so that glue can be placed throughout the area of the base so that if a rodent comes near the trap he will either be killed by the hammer bar in a conventional manner or caught in the glue area. An optional string, which may contain disinfectant, may also be attached to the platform and used to pick-up the trap.

Abstract: Designs for a flexible component to be wrapped around a tree as part of a tree stand is provided. Designs of the present invention utilize a length or loop of cable. Segments are threaded onto the cable for the entire length. Significant features of flexible components of the present invention include the provision of adequate tensile strength to support the weight of the stand and the user. The flexible component is preferably flexible so it can wrap around the tree, but yet it preferably is also rigid enough so it does not sag when pressure is removed. It preferably also can be easily adjustable to easily accommodate different size trees.

Abstract: Disclosed are compositions and methods for the preservation, storage, and transport of living biological tissues, organs, and populations of isolated cells. In particular, the disclosed compositions and processes permit mammalian cells, tissues, and organs to be harvested from suitable donor animals, stored for prolonged periods, and transported to the site of recipient implantation, all without significant loss of cell viability, biological activity, and/or tissue integrity.

Abstract: Methods for the generation of non-equilibrium solutions of peroxyacetic acid are disclosed. These methods comprise introducing triacetin and aqueous hydrogen peroxide to water, mixing, and then adding an aqueous source of an alkali metal or earth alkali metal hydroxide. Triacetin is converted rapidly and with a high conversion rate into peracetic acid. These methods produce solutions with a high level of peracetic acid.

Abstract: Provided herein are herbicidal compositions containing of (a) fluroxypyr or an agriculturally acceptable ester or salt thereof and (b) an ALS-inhibiting herbicide, wherein the ALS-inhibiting herbicide is diclosulam, cloransulam, chlorimuron, or thifensulfuron, or an agriculturally acceptable ester or salt thereof. The compositions provide synergistic weed control of undesirable vegetation in areas including, but not limited to, soybean, cotton, corn, sorghum, sunflower, sugarcane, sugar beets, alfalfa, cereals (including but not limited to wheat, barley, rice and oats), non-crop, fallow-bed, perennial crop, fruiting crop, or plantation crop areas.

Abstract: An anti-fungal composition for the control of one or more target fungi (or a similar heterotrophic, hyphae-producing organism) that infect plant materials and are (is) separately controllable by a benzoxaborole and an anti-fungal compound of a preselected FRAC Target Site Code is disclosed, as is a method of its use. A composition contains a diluent medium having dissolved or dispersed therein a synergistic effective amount of each of a first and a second anti-fungal compound. The first anti-fungal compound is a benzoxaborole of Formula I. The second anti-fungal compound is other than a benzoxaborole and is known to control said one or more target species of fungus when utilized as the sole anti-fungal compound at a concentration greater than the synergistic effective amount and has a preselected FRAC Target Site Code of B, C, D, E, G, H, or M.

Abstract: Disinfectant compositions include 0.001 to 10% by weight of hydrogen peroxide or a hydrogen peroxide source based on the total weight of the composition; 0.001 to 20% by weight of at least one amphoteric surfactant based on the total weight of the composition; and 0.001 to 15% by weight of at least one alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt of a cyclic or heterocyclic aromatic compound comprising at least one hydroxyl group, carboxylic group, or combination thereof based on the total weight of the composition. The disinfectant compositions are particularly effective at treating surfaces contaminated with resistant bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus at a fast killing rate.

The container, motor and lead screw are carried on a drawer which is slidably mounted in a refrigerated housing. Pressure is monitored to regulate operation of the motor. An encoder controls the motor for a specific portion size.
