Abstract: An imaging pixel may be operated in either a linear mode or a logarithmic mode. In the logarithmic mode, the voltage at a floating diffusion region may be proportional to the logarithm of the intensity of incident light. In order to enable correlated double sampling (CDS) in the logarithmic mode, a transistor may be provided that couples the photodiode to a bias voltage. When the transistor is turned off, the photodiode may be able to operate in a logarithmic mode. When the transistor is turned on, the floating diffusion region may be reset to a baseline voltage level. Images from the linear mode and the logarithmic mode may be combined to form high dynamic range images with flicker mitigation.

Abstract: Systems and methods for presenting and viewing a spherical video segment is provided. The spherical video segment including tag information associated with an event of interest may be obtained. The tag information may identify a point in time and a viewing angle at which the event of interest is viewable in the spherical video segment. An orientation of a two dimensional display may be determined based upon output signals of a sensor. A display field of view within the spherical video segment may be determined and presented on the display based upon the orientation of the display. The display field of view may be captured as a two dimensional video segment. If the viewing angle of the event of interest is outside the display field of view proximate the point in time, a notification may be presented within the display field of view.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an information processing apparatus, an information processing method and a program as well as a recording medium for enabling at least a bit rate of an image to be reproduced to be converted. A BD-J execution unit sets conversion equation information indicating a conversion equation for converting at least a bit rate of a graphics to be reproduced. A conversion unit converts at least the bit rate of the graphics to be reproduced by use of the conversion equation indicated by the conversion equation information set by the BD-J execution unit. The present disclosure can be applied to a reproducing apparatus and the like for reproducing an optical disc recording therein a stream file of AV stream of main video in a video format different in bit rate or color gamut, a BDJO file, a file of BD-J, and the like.

Abstract: An environment may be displayed from a viewpoint. According to one method, volumetric video data may be acquired depicting the environment, for example, using a tiled camera array. A plurality of vantages may be distributed throughout a viewing volume from which the environment is to be viewed. The volumetric video data may be used to generate video data for each vantage, representing the view of the environment from that vantage. User input may be received designating a viewpoint within the viewing volume. From among the plurality of vantages, a subset nearest to the viewpoint may be identified. The video data from the subset may be retrieved and combined to generate viewpoint video data depicting the environment from the viewpoint. The viewpoint video data may be displayed for the viewer to display a view of the environment from the viewpoint selected by the user.

Abstract: A three-dimensional source device provides a three-dimensional display signal for a display via a high speed digital interface, such as HDMI. The three-dimensional display signal comprises a sequence of frames. The sequence of frames comprises units, each unit corresponding to frames comprising video information intended to be composited and displayed as a three-dimensional image. The three-dimensional source device includes three-dimensional transfer information comprising at least information about the video frames in the unit. The display detects the three-dimensional transfer information, and generates the display control signals based in dependence on the three-dimensional transfer information.

A video server is configured to cause a processor to read, from a video data source, source video data including multiple spherical image frame data and store the source video data in a first memory. The video server is further configured to cause the GPU to convert, in response to storing first spherical image frame data in a first frame buffer of a second memory, the first spherical image frame data to first equirectangular image frame data that correspond to a portion of spherical image represented by the first spherical image frame data, encode the converted first equirectangular image frame data and store the encoded first equirectangular image frame data in an encoded frame buffer of the second memory.
