  • Patent number: 9775760
Abstract: A cremation urn comprising an internal structure with an opening, an external opening with an opening that is correspondingly aligned with the opening on the internal structure, and sealing means in the form of a threaded lid or press fit lid. A threaded flange is attached to the opening on the internal structure and is molded into the urn during manufacturing. The materials used for the urn produce an urn with the appearance of marble. Once the urn is made, by use of a manufacturing method, the threaded lid is screwed into the threaded flange, thereby creating a one-piece, air-tight and water-tight cremation urn.

  • Patent number: 9775763
Abstract: Exoskeleton technology is described herein. Such technology includes but is not limited to exoskeletons, exoskeleton controllers, methods for controlling an exoskeleton, and combinations thereof. The exoskeleton technology may facilitate, enhance, and/or supplant the natural mobility of a user via a combination of sensor elements, processing/control elements, and actuating elements. User movement may be elicited by electrical stimulation of the user's muscles, actuation of one or more mechanical components, or a combination thereof. In some embodiments, the exoskeleton technology may adjust in response to measured inputs, such as motions or electrical signals produced by a user. In this way, the exoskeleton technology may interpret known inputs and learn new inputs, which may lead to a more seamless user experience.

  • Patent number: 9775765
Abstract: The proposed method is intended for rhythmic stimulation of neurotrophic reflexes to simultaneous stretching of muscles in various sections of spine, joints of limbs and in the main muscles of a human body. The aforesaid method can be implemented by employing an exercise machine that provides for mechanical anti-phase oscillations of lodgments affecting various sections of the body and limbs without considerable movements of the neck-and-head lodgment in the vertical direction. The upper body and the lower limbs make in-phase reciprocal movements, while the pelvic area makes movements anti-phase relative thereto. A support for the neck-and-head part is installed to allow supporting natural movements of the head in the course of the aforesaid movements of the upper body. The design of the exercise machine is described in detail herein.

  • Patent number: 9775780
Abstract: Various embodiments relate to systems and methods for monitoring adherence to a medication regimen through the use of a smart medication container. The container can include an electronic display that presents relevant information, such as dosage and/or medication information, instructions, user information, messages, notifications, and device information (e.g., battery status, network connectivity status). A pair of conductive elements positioned on either side of the container's opening can be configured to continually measure capacitance in order to identify when contents (e.g., pills) leave the container. More than one pair of conductive elements may be used to improve accuracy and reduce the effects of noise. A processor is able to analyze the capacitance data and determine whether medication has been dispensed from the container and, if so, how much medication was dispensed. A computer system can then compare the results to a planned medication regimen to determine a state of compliance.

  • Patent number: 9775802
Abstract: A process for producing a pharmaceutical suspension that comprises an active pharmaceutical ingredient (“API”) having low solubility, the process comprises: (a) preparing a first solution comprising a carboxy-containing vinyl polymer and a solvent; and (b) adding a compound of the API to said first solution under conditions of high-shear mixing for a time from about 5 minutes to about 5 hours, said compound being soluble in said solvent, thereby producing a suspension of particles of said API in a composition comprising said carboxy-containing vinyl polymer; wherein a concentration of said API in said suspension is higher than a solubility of said API in said solvent. The present invention also provides a suspension produced by such process.

  • Patent number: 9775804
Abstract: The specification relates to an internal structured self assembled liposome (ISSAL), containing a nuclear core molecule or complex including a first affinity enhancing molecule; and a phospholipid-affinity enhancing complex having a phospholipid coupled to second affinity enhancing molecule, wherein the second affinity enhancing molecule couples to the first affinity enhancing molecule. The ISSAL's can be used in, for example and without limitation, the field of drug delivery, vaccination, imaging contrast agents, and nanotechnology, in which liposomes of ordered, self-assembling structure are employed to deliver soluble or insoluble molecules to any sub-cellular address.

  • Patent number: 9775806
Abstract: A biosensor system determines analyte concentration from an output signal generated from a light-identifiable species or a redox reaction of the analyte. The biosensor system compensates at least 50% of the total error in the output signal with a primary function and may compensate a portion of the residual error with at least one residual function. A segmented signal processing (SSP) function may serve as the primary function, first residual function, or second residual function. Preferably, when the SSP function serves as the first residual function, the SSP function compensates at least 50% of the residual error remaining after primary compensation. Preferably, when the SSP function serves as the second residual function, the SSP function compensates at least 50% of the residual error remaining after primary and first residual compensation. The error compensation provided by the primary, first residual, and second residual functions may be adjusted with function weighing coefficients.
