Abstract: Moisture is retained in cooked or thawed food by adding to the food an aqueous suspension of animal muscle protein obtained from animal muscle tissue. The aqueous suspension is obtained by mixing comminuted animal muscle tissue with a food grade base to form an aqueous basic solution of animal muscle protein. The basic solution is mixed with a food grade acid to precipitate the protein in an aqueous composition. The precipitated protein then is comminuted to form an aqueous suspension of comminuted animal muscle protein.

Abstract: An electronic cigarette with an atomizer cartridge and a battery assembly. The atomizer cartridge has an atomizer coupled to a first and second terminal of a cartridge interface. A passive electrical circuit is coupled between the first terminal and a sensing terminal. The battery assembly has an interface with a first, second, and sensing contact. The interface engages the cartridge interface to provide electrical continuity between the terminals and contacts. The battery assembly has an atomizer drive circuit connected between the first and second contact, and a controller that activates the atomizer drive circuit in response to negative pressure at a draw sensor. A sensing circuit coupled to the sensing contact outputs a parameter signal indicative of the electrical parameters of the passive electrical circuit. The controller activates an RGB LED to produce discrete colors of light corresponding to discrete values of the parameter signal.

The vapor delivery device may accommodate organic, resin, prepackaged or liquid vaporizable materials. The oven vent or vents are configured to be either blocked or covered to substantially eliminate vapor escaping from the oven chamber. An oven chamber or oven closure, may be configured to rotate to trap vapor within the oven. In another embodiment, an oven is configured with a plunger that traps vapor within the oven.

A wearable device can receive measurements from sensors to include sensors from a number of other wearable devices. Based on the sensor measurements, the wearable device can determine a depth for the wearable devices. The depth can include an indication of which wearable device is closest to a user, which wearable device is closest to an external environment, or the like.

Abstract: A load-bearing garment, such as a vest, is provided having stretchable web platform on an outside surface, such as between front and back panels of the vest. The stretchable web platform includes stretchable bands that extend horizontally, and vertical webbing extending between multiple horizontal bands. Additional embodiments are directed to a mounting system in a plate carrier for a plate. Still further embodiments are directed to a handle and strap system for a vest or other garment that permits a quick rescue of a person wearing the vest.

Abstract: Apparel for monitoring optimal body shell temperature during physical activity. The apparel uses thermochromic dyes and thermochromic inks to indicate changes in body shell temperature as physical activity commences and progresses. The thermochromic dyes and inks reveal when the body shell temperature has reached a temperature indicating optimal muscle performance, and inform the wearer of the apparel whether to increase or decrease the intensity of the physical activity to establish or maintain the optimal body shell temperature.

Abstract: The invention is an open-palm sun protective glove that covers the back of the hand protecting it from solar ultraviolet radiation. It allows the palm to maintain mobility, dexterity, tactility, sensitivity, and to release heat and maintain coolness. This open-palm glove has three sheaths that anchor it on the hand: thumb, 5th digit, and wrist. This allows the glove to fit comfortably and slip on and off easily. It is made from textile industry tested ultraviolet protective factor fabric made of knit, woven, or other textile fabric allowing the glove to fit snuggly on the hand. This invention protects the back of the hands, of the wearer, from chronic and intense sun exposure that can cause pre-cancers, skin cancers and sun damage while allowing natural sense of touch and palm-side heat dissipation.

Abstract: Disclosed is a carboxylic acid-modified nitrile-based copolymer latex composition, including 0.1-10 parts by weight of a reactive emulsifier based on 100 parts by weight of a monomer mixture, wherein the monomer mixture includes 40-88 wt % of a conjugated diene-based monomer, 10-50 wt % of an ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer and 0.1-10 wt % of an ethylenically unsaturated acid monomer. Also disclosed are a method of preparing the carboxylic acid-modified nitrile-based copolymer latex composition and a latex composition for dip molding including the same. The carboxylic acid-modified nitrile-based copolymer latex composition reduces generation of foam through the use of a reactive emulsifier different from the conventional adsorption/desorption type emulsifier, thereby preventing degradation of the quality of latex caused by foam. In addition, the carboxylic acid-modified nitrile-based copolymer latex composition avoids a need for introducing a defoaming agent for removing foam or maturation process.

The gloves include four respective surfaces that each in turn include a partial image. A first and third partial image together form a first full image when the first and second gloves are arranged in a first position. A second and fourth partial image together form a second full image when the first and second gloves are arranged in a second position. The first and third images are on surfaces corresponding to backs of the gloves, while the second and fourth partial images are on surfaces corresponding to fronts of the gloves. The first and second full images may be used to play various games according to embodiments of the present disclosure.

Abstract: An automatic 3D garment construction is provided using steps for: providing a plurality of panels of a garment so as to be processed in an information processing device, wherein each of the plurality of panels comprises seam lines; positioning the plurality of panels at corresponding locations around a virtual body provided in the information processing device; finding matching seam lines for the plurality of panels and creating seams; and producing the garment in which the plurality of panels are positioned, seamed, and draped on the virtual body. The step for positioning may comprise a step for panel tagging, a step for seam line tagging, and a step for panel packing, in which related panels are grouped and packed, such that relative positions are fixed among the packed panels, and the packed panels move as a group.

Abstract: A fastening system that either attaches to existing buttons or attaches directly to an article of clothing are presented. The fastening system has a first portion that attaches to a button hole or a first part of the article and a second portion that attaches to a button or second part of the article. The first portion and second portion detachably attach to each other by a twist-lock, magnetic mechanism, or some other attachment mechanism. Alternatively, the fastening system can be built directly into an article without augmenting an existing button and button-hole fastener.

The bracing strut according, to the present invention comprises: holders (4) on the left and right of the front side of a waist band (B) of a pair of pants (P); and sockets (5) formed on a buckle (5a) on the left and right of the front side of a hip belt (G) to be worn on a body, wherein the pants (P) are supported by the hip belt due to the bracing strut in such a manner that, after the hip belt (G) is fastened on the body and then the pants are worn, both ends of the bracing strut (S) are supported between the holders (4) provided in the waist band (B) of the pants (P) and the sockets (5) provided in the hip belt (G). According to the present invention, no pressure is applied to the abdomen because a waist belt is not fastened to wear a pair of pants, contrary to a conventional manner, and shoulder straps, are not slipped down because suspenders are not used.

The second portion has a plurality of enemy dissipaters. Each of the energy dissipaters has a rod that extends in a spiraling manner from a fixed end to a free end. The rod tapers continuously along its length from the fixed end to the free end so that the fixed end exhibits a larger internal cross sectional area than the free end. The free end is capable of vibrating when the helmet is impacted by an object in order to dissipate impact energy.

A second embodiment of the helmet having non-bursting air cells preferably includes the hard helmet shell, the outside air cell impact layer and an inside air cell inflatable impact layer. The inside air cell inflatable impact layer preferably includes at least one inflatable air cell layer and a check valve.

The footwear cover system includes the shoe having a relatively soft and flexible upper portion for surrounding at least part of the wearer's foot and a sole attached to the upper portion of the shoe. The relatively soft and flexible upper portion has a toe-receiving forepart section, a mid-foot receiving section, and a heel-receiving rear part section. A housing surrounds the shoe and fastens to the shoe at an intersection of the sole and the flexible upper portion. A waterproof rain cover is stored within the housing and adapted to being extended from the housing to enclose the flexible upper portion. A structure is used to secure the waterproof rain cover in place after it has enclosed the flexible upper portion of the shoe.

Improved solvent metal compositions and layering of the un-sintered construct allow for sintering of thicker and larger high quality sintered compacts. Jewelry may also be made from sintered ultrahard materials including diamond, carbides, and boron nitrides. Increased biocompatibility is achieved through use of a sintering metal containing tin. Methods of sintering perform shapes are provided.

The umbrella cloth covers the umbrella frame, the solar chips are disposed on an upper surface of the umbrella cloth, the solar chips are electrically connected with the storage battery, and the storage battery provides electrical energy to the electrical driving mechanism disposed on the umbrella frame so that the umbrella frame, driven by the electrical driving mechanism, achieves opening and closing motion. The present invention solves problems with the umbrellas in the prior art such as single functionality and difficult opening and closing.
