The cushion layer includes one of a groove and a tab that corresponds to and interfaces with the one of a tab and a groove of the rigid shell to retain the cushion layer to the rigid shell when the cushion layer is disposed over the rigid shell. The cushion layer further includes an opening that aligns with at least one of the openings of the rigid shell.

Abstract: Luggage as well as systems, devices, methodologies, and software for use with such luggage are disclosed. The luggage may include one or more compartments and lids that can be locked. The luggage may also include an identification device for obtaining information identifying a user and a computing device, such as a microcontroller or processor. The computing device may be configured to compare identification information with reference identification information to determine whether a user is authorized to access an interior of the luggage. Based on results of the comparison, the computing device may control a locking mechanism to unlock one or more of lids of the luggage to allow a user access to the interior of the luggage. The luggage may also include a GPS transceiver for tracking the luggage, a sensor for weighing the luggage, or a coupling mechanism to couple the luggage to another piece of luggage.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing item or luggage loss prevention, which, in some cases, is based on weight measurement. In some embodiments, a device with a processor can be placed under a bag's handle, within an interior compartment of the bag, below or in the feet or wheels of the bag, and/or the like. The device can allow a user to lock in a weight of the bag. If any item is subsequently removed from (and not returned to) the bag, the device will notify the user, using one or more of audio notification, visual notification, and/or mobile device notification (e.g., via e-mail, text message, SMS, MMS, chat message, and/or the like) that the weight of the bag has changed. In some cases, location detection devices may be implemented to allow the user to backtrack where the missing item might have been left behind.

The first cap portion has a temporary holding hole (22) in which a guide protrusion (13a) of the inner cylinder is held temporarily against the biasing force of the return spring so that an upper end of the inner cylinder is lower than an upper end portion of the first cap portion when the guide protrusion is held temporarily in the temporary holding hole. Thus, the upper end of the first cap portion can deform to bend inward without being obstructed by the inner cylinder when the second cap portion is fit on the first cap portion.

Abstract: A modular wall system having an integrated air flow path that provides cooling of heat generating component housed within the system. In one embodiment, the modular wall system includes wall vertical brackets that create one or more vertical flues, as well as ventilated base cabinets that are configured to direct the flow of air over component stores within. The top of the wall system may be vented allow to heat rising through the flues to vent into the surrounding atmosphere. The bottom of the base cabinets may be ventilated to allow air to enter the interior cabinet from the surrounding environment. The rear of the base cabinets may be open to the flue to allow air to flow from the interior of the cabinet up through the flues. The doors of the base cabinets may also be ventilated to provide additional air flow.

Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a travel pillow for sleeping in a vertical or near-vertical reclined position. When sleeping in these positions, gravity tends to pull the head forward of the shoulders causing it to droop. The current state of the art travel pillow does not provide a support means to counter this forward drooping tendency. Moreover, its rear support displaces the cervical spine forward, further increasing the tendency for the head to slump forward. The present invention holds a resting head in an upright and stable position to prevent forward head drooping and does so without forwardly displaying the cervical spine. The five novel elements of the present invention are integrally configured to maintain a healthy alignment between the occipital bone of the head, the cervical spine of the neck, and the thoracic spine of the upper back.

Abstract: A beverage container holding a beverage includes a cap that can be used to prevent contamination of a beverage between drinks. The cap is sized to fit over the foot of the beverage container for use as a non-slip coaster. The beverage container is shrink wrapped to retain the cap on the top of the beverage container. The shrink wrap includes a pair of vertically disposed perforations which facilitate opening of the beverage container. The shrink wrap also aids in keeping the beverage container sanitary by preventing contaminants from reaching surfaces of the beverage container.

Abstract: A non-spill container having a collar and seal assembly from which drinking can occur at any location around a rim of the collar and seal assembly. The collar has an open upper end, a closed lower end, and a sidewall. The open upper end is proximate to and includes the upper end of a side wall, an upper perimeter and a rim. The closed lower end has a projection extending upward therefrom and at least one passage disposed through the closed lower end to channel a fluid. The sidewall has a tapered shape that extends from the open upper end inward toward the closed lower end and has a support surface provided along an inner surface adjacent to the open upper end. The support surface has at least one radial protrusion is disposed radially adjacent to the support surface to define at least one channel. A fastener assembly is provided on an external wall of the collar.

Abstract: Disclosed are dual-purpose dispensing containers and utensils for dispensing measured amounts of beverage or food ingredients, useful for the preparation and consumption of the beverages and foods. A dual-purpose dispensing container and utensil comprises a handle having a functional part at first end thereof, the functional part configured for preparing and/or consuming a beverage or foodstuff, at least two compartments extending from a lower surface of the handle and along a longitudinal length of the handle from a second end of the handle opposite the first end. Each two neighbor compartments are spaced apart a pre-selected distance from each other. A cover is attached to the handle along a perimeter of a top opening of each one of the compartments on an upper surface of the handle. Each compartment is configured to contain ingredient for dispensing into a liquid beverage or solid foodstuff for preparing the liquid beverage or solid foodstuff.

Abstract: A beverage container holder with air gap insulation that can be formed from a single sheet of material, can be formed with one single die cutting stroke, and does not involve glue or any other materials to retain the sections together as the sections are automatically retained together and formed into a round retaining member by the simple action of rotating the central sections approximately 90 degrees.
