  • Patent number: 9889457
Abstract: A dispenser or applicator of garden liquids such as herbicides and pesticides. It is a long tube, preferably translucent, that has an applicator tip assembly at the base that dispenses a quantity of the liquid to one plant at a time in an exact spot while the user remains standing comfortably (without having to bend or stoop over). The device also has a spray nozzle so that a larger area can be sprayed, if desired. Finally, it has a top cap that has a small opening in it that allows a user to invert the device and apply the liquid to a larger area by simply moving the device around and sprinkling the liquid where desired. Because the tube is long, the user can remain standing comfortable and the liquid is dispensed at ground level. The device also comes with a small mounting bracket for securing it on a wall.

  • Patent number: 9889459
Abstract: An apparatus and method of preparing and coating a large structure such as a ship's hull while in a dry dock wherein a plurality of spray guns disposed in an array are positioned by a robotic arm in a spaced relationship along the surface to be treated so that their spray patterns overlap. The array of spray guns is traversed downwardly and thus painting a strip whereupon the spray guns are secured, move horizontally and then are activated to be moved upwardly until another strip adjacent to and overlapping the first strip is painted. These steps are repeated until the surface area is substantially entirely painted. A shroud is provided for collecting paint oversprays and other excess paint is mounted in the array assemblage. An auxiliary spray gun may be positioned and its spray pattern adjusted to apply paint to area which were missed by the original spray pattern emanating from the array of spray guns.

Abstract: The profile shape of the vessel body and of handle portion is formed from a single sheet of metal to create a flat by cutting, stamping or blanking. An opening is created in the handle portion to reduce heat propagation. The shape of the pan body is formed by spinning with the flat handle portion. The handle is formed by creating three-dimensional contours in the handle portion of the blank. The neck portion has a flat section adjacent the pan body followed by sections of different curvature. One section of the neck portion has a deeply curved cross-section. That neck portion transitions to the hand grip portion which has a reduced curvature, particularly toward the unattached end of the handle. The neck portion may have a “W” cross sectional shape. The handle grip portion may have a “U” shaped cross-section for comfort.

Abstract: A method may be used to produce a seamless pressure vessel for storing hydrogen. So that such a pressure vessel withstands both very high internal pressures and pressure fluctuations and (low) temperatures and temperature fluctuations and also high mechanical loading, is resistant to embrittlement, and is comparatively lightweight, a round or tubular workpiece may be formed that includes a multi-layer composite sheet metal material comprising a carrier layer made of steel material and a shielding layer resistant to hydrogen embrittlement by a flow forming process into a seamless hollow body, which serves as a semifinished product to be further processed into the seamless pressure vessel. The shielding layer may represent an inner layer of the pressure vessel. During the flow forming of the workpiece, the shielding layer may be retained as a whole-area, uninterrupted layer.
