Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for supporting an elongate shaft on a surgical tool during robotic surgery. For example, a tool holder is provided with an elongate carrier arm configured to couple to a distal end of a surgical robotic arm. The tool holder has a housing that is removably mounted on the carrier arm and that is configured to be positioned adjacent to a tissue surface without extending into tissue. The tool holder thus simulates a trocar. The housing has an opening formed therethrough for receiving an elongate shaft of a surgical tool, and the opening has an inner diameter that is configured to dynamically adjust in size to adapt to and resist movement of elongate shafts of varying diameters inserted therethrough.

A controller acquires raw kinematic measurement data about a state of the tool relative to the base from the manipulator, known relationship data about the state of the tracker relative to the tool, and raw navigation data about the state of the tracker relative to the localizer from the navigation system. The controller combines this data to determine a raw relationship between the base and the localizer. The raw relationship is filtered for controlling the manipulator. Abstract: This invention is a new single piece dental prosthetic, a root section connected to the decorative crown section, becoming one part, with a bifurcated root for better anchoring and cleaning action, characterized by: Its simplicity makes it less expensive, and affordable by persons of limited means. Simpler, easier implementation than previous systems. This reliable system provides a new type of anchoring. The present invention is a reliable system with several fastening systems. It is also new way to make an implant less costly, and therefore more affordable by poor persons of low income status. This is done by simplifying the above mentioned procedures, and using new method's such as bifurcation and circular ridge fastening.

Abstract: An oral irrigator handle through which fluid flows to a tip is described. Fluid flows from a fluidically connected hose to the tip during irrigate mode, and fluid flow may be interrupted by selecting a pause mode. The handle includes a mechanically controlled actuator for selecting the pause mode. The actuator may be operably connected to a shuttle valve that is positioned to block fluid flow to the tip during pause mode but not during irrigate mode. The handle may also include a swivel assembly. The swivel assembly prevents rotational movement of either the handle or the hose from being transmitted to the other, such that rotation of the handle will not affect the position of the hose.
