Abstract: The disclosed invention is a user-propelled device with no moving parts. The user places a single ski on each foot, the skis being independent from one-another. As the user strides the natural motion of his legs causes the skies to rise and fall with respect to the surface of the water. This rising and falling motion, and the resulting weight shift of the user, engages and disengages a plurality of paddles. Through this natural motion, the paddles are engaged when the foot is moving backward with respect to the user, and disengaged when moving forward with respect to the user. The result is forward motion with a natural gait, with automatic paddle engagement and disengagement.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system for actively damping a ship's motion, comprising at least one first rotatable stabilisation element extending from the ship's hull, below the water line, on a side of the ship, sensor means for sensing the ship's motion and delivering control signals on the basis thereof to driving means for rotatably driving the stabilisation element for the purpose of damping the ship's motion being sensed, as well as moving means for moving the stabilisation element relative to the ship. According to the invention, the active stabilisation system is to that end characterised in that the moving means are configured to impart a precession motion to the at least one rotatable stabilisation element in dependence on the ship's sailing speed and the control signals being delivered by the sensor means. Imparting a precession movement to the rotating stabilisation elements obviates the need to constantly change the direction of the mass of the stabilisation elements.

Abstract: To display a multidimensional code representing unique information of an outboard motor, a display device ensures switchably displaying the multidimensional code representing identical information by a plurality of display patterns where ease of reading is mutually different. A multidimensional code creating unit converts the unique information of the outboard motor into the multidimensional code and creates the multidimensional codes by two patterns. That is, a first multidimensional code creating unit creates a multidimensional code for a display pattern that represents the unique information of the outboard motor by the predetermined count of N (one or plural) multidimensional codes.

The quadrotor drone includes an assembly of vertically oriented arms, i.e., the length and thickness of the arms extend along x and y axes forming faces along the arms generally in an x-y plane and generally facing a direction parallel to an axis of each of the motors, while the width extends along the z axis form forming faces along the arms generally in an x-z and y-z planes and generally facing directions orthogonal to an axis of each of the motors. The arms are preferably formed from a material comprising a continuous fiber from end to end such as, e.g., a carbon fiber material.
