The displaceable member is secured relative to a mechanical amplifier comprising a pivotable lever arm at a first end of the pivotable lever arm at a short distance from the pivot axis of the lever arm, and is biased toward the fixed member. The measurement mechanism further comprises a displacement sensor configured to monitor the displacement of a reference component secured relative to a second end of the lever arm at a long distance from the pivot axis. The monitored movement of the reference component is correlated with the thickness of the yarn, such that the yarn thickness is recorded for the length of yarn.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 16, 2017Publication date: August 16, 2018Inventors: Maarten Meinders, Zhuomin Ding

Publication number: 20180231367Abstract: An alignment aid that includes first, second, and third references aligned along a first axis. Each reference has a length parallel to the first axis and a width orthogonal to the first axis. A distance between adjacent references increases along the first axis. In particular embodiments, the length and/or width of each reference may increase along the first axis. Other particular embodiments may include parallel lines aligned parallel along the first axis and/or a contrast on each side of each reference.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2017Publication date: August 16, 2018Inventor: Allen Daniel Stephenson

Publication number: 20180231368Abstract: A method of leak testing a fluid passage of a part manufactured from a low conductivity material includes measuring an electrical resistance between an interior wall surface of the fluid passage of the part, and an exterior wall surface of the fluid passage of the part. The measured electrical resistance is compared to a threshold value to determine if the measured electrical resistance is equal to or greater than the threshold value, or if the measured electrical resistance is less than the threshold value. The threshold value is equal to a nominal wall thickness of the fluid passage multiplied by a resistivity of the material used to form the part. The part passes the leak test when the measured electrical resistance is equal to or greater than the threshold value. The part fails the leak test when the measured electrical resistance is less than the threshold value.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 16, 2017Publication date: August 16, 2018Applicant: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventors: Edgar P. Publication number: 20180231369Abstract: A temperature measuring method of a component of a substrate processing chamber including a surface being worn or being deposited with a foreign material by using. The method includes: providing data representing a relationship between a temperature of the component and an optical path length of a predetermined path within the component; measuring an optical path length of the predetermined path within the component by using optical interference of reflection lights of a low-coherence light from the component when the low-coherence light is irradiated onto the component to travel through the predetermined path; and obtaining a temperature of the component by comparing the measured optical path length with the data.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 13, 2018Publication date: August 16, 2018Applicant: TOKYO ELECTRON LIMITEDInventors: Chishio KOSHIMIZU, Tatsuo MATSUDO

Publication number: 20180231371Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and methods for calibrating a volumetric estimation device for determining dimensions of an object. Described is a first laser source and a second laser source, each projecting at least two laser lines onto an object from a point of laser projection, to form a rectangular calibration target having crossline locations on at least a portion of the object and a camera for capturing an image of the rectangular calibration target projected onto the object, the camera having a camera image plane and a camera image plane centre point. The camera captures the laser projected crosslines as camera images. Means for utilising locations of laser projected crosslines in camera images, means for determining a deviation angle of the laser projection from a direction perpendicular to the camera image plane and the distance between the camera image plane centre point and laser source can allow for laser calibration.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 10, 2016Publication date: August 16, 2018Inventors: Natalia Galin, Richard White
