Abstract: A maintenance support system includes an image forming apparatus, a management device, and an information processing terminal. The image forming apparatus generates data including terminal identification information identifying the terminal and sends it to the management device. The management device includes: an issuing processor that, upon receiving the data, issues receipt identification information and sends it to the image forming apparatus or terminal; a memory that stores the terminal identification information in the data and the receipt identification information; and a processor that, upon receiving the terminal identification information and receipt identification information from the terminal, compares the received terminal identification information and receipt identification information with the terminal identification information and receipt identification information stored in the memory, and outputs a result of the comparison.

Abstract: Various embodiments concern facilitating a money transfer by creating a first profile for a first user and a second profile for a second user. The first user can select the second profile from a plurality of profiles. The first user can enter a value designation for the transfer of money from the first user to the second user. A computing system can then stage the transfer of money based on previously saved profile information for the first user and the second user. The profile information can be used to set a plurality of terms of the money transfer without requiring either of the first user or the second user to reenter this information or otherwise affirmatively set the plurality of terms of the money transfer.

Abstract: The method provides a graphical user interface for an electronic transaction. An input screen is displayed in the shape of an electronic transaction device and inputs in fields of the electronic transaction device are received. If each of the one or more fields has been completed, an indication to move to an additional display of the electronic transaction device is shown. Second inputs in additional fields of the additional display are received. If each of the additional fields has been completed, an additional indication to move to a confirmation display is displayed, and the confirmation display is shown.

Abstract: Invoice related financial transaction data is obtained and integrated into a personal financial management and bill payment system. All invoices represented in the invoice related financial transaction data having the same payor user of the personal financial management and bill payment system and the same payee business are then identified and collected into aggregated same payor/same payee invoice related financial transaction data. The aggregated same payor/same payee invoice related financial transaction data is then analyzed to determine the aggregated total amount owed to the payee business by the payor user and this aggregated total amount is processed as a single payment due item by the personal financial management and bill payment system.

Abstract: One example method is directed to generating a data sampling parameter, and includes identifying an incremental billing rate for data storage, where the data storage includes a data set having a multiple data pieces that each correspond with a respective unique indicator, and the unique indicators reside in a space. The example method further includes identifying a threshold billing increment, and determining an acceptable error in the threshold billing increment. Finally, the method includes determining a sub sample ratio based upon the threshold billing increment and the acceptable error. The sub sample ratio has a variable value ‘X’ which indicates that sampling of one unique indicator in every ‘X’ unique indicators in the space is sufficient to determine the size of the entire data set.

Abstract: An improved self-checkout apparatus includes a self-checkout unit, a detection module configured to detect a product input and a fault during a transaction progression and a customer override that may be selected by a customer without attendant intervention to complete a transaction. The apparatus may also be considered a self-checkout kiosk including a security component associated with the consumer override. Systems and methods for a self-checkout kiosk including a point-of-sale system, a customer default override and a security component are also disclosed.

Abstract: An interrogating and processing system and method is described. A wireless communication device interrogates an information source, having a barcode or tag, and wirelessly transmits data indicative of the information source. The interrogator can be built into or adjunct to the wireless communication device. An automated processing subsystem receives the transmitted data and identifies an item corresponding to the data. A fulfillment subsystem effects delivery of the item to a destination. There can be a coupon code scanning and processing system and method. A wireless computing device having an interrogator reads a coupon code. An automated processing subsystem receives the corresponding data and provides a benefit associated with the coupon. The benefit can be a discount on a product or service. Alternatively, at least a portion of the coupon including a code is displayed on a screen of the computing device for processing at a point of sale terminal.

Abstract: When a consumer makes a purchase at a POS using a payment provider, the payment provider provides, to the merchant, a consumer identification (ID) and an authorization number, along with the payment approval. After receiving the information from the payment provider, the POS device sends a generated digital or electronic receipt to an email address of the payment provider. The email contains information about the payer and the authorization. Upon receipt, the payment provider may upload the electronic receipt into the consumer's mobile wallet or account using the payer ID and authorization number. As a result, the consumer can easily locate and access a receipt on the consumer's mobile device, such as by accessing the user's mobile wallet or the user's payment provider account on the mobile device, e.g., through a mobile app.

Abstract: A system, method, and device for providing haptic feedback is presented. The system comprises a first device, a second device, and a third device. The first device has a first haptic output device, a first processor, and a first wireless communication unit. The second device has a second haptic output device, a second processor, and a second wireless communication unit. The third device has a third processor and a third wireless communication unit configured to transfer digital content between the third device and at least the first device. At least one processor of the first processor, second processor, and third processor is configured, when digital content is transferred or is being transferred between the third device and the first device, to cause the first haptic output device to output a first haptic feedback and to cause the second haptic output device to output a second haptic feedback.

Abstract: A method of collecting transaction records on a pre-paid mobile communication device. The method comprising sending a request by an application to receive a plurality of transaction records; receiving the plurality of transaction records by the application, wherein each transaction record comprises a transaction record identifier. The method further comprising, for each transaction record, looking up a transaction record identifier in the non-transitory memory of the mobile communication device comprising a plurality of existing transaction records comprising transaction record identifiers from previously collected transaction records, if the transaction record identifier of the transaction record identifier does not match an existing transaction record identifier, and copying the transaction record and transaction record identifier to the memory of the mobile communication device.

Abstract: A mobile point of sale system and method uses a mobile point of sale terminal, a mobile device programmed with an app, and low energy network beacons. A cloud server communicates with the mobile point of sale terminal to manage the system and retain data. The beacons can be used to track location of a customer within a merchant to push information to the customer. The cloud server can use stored information about the customer to better target information and offers sent to the customer and to facilitate improved payment processing.

Abstract: Depositing funds onto smart cards for use during processing of purchases. A device creates a deposit request and transmits the request to a remote system. The remote system processes the request and transmits a deposit record to the device, which in turn transmits the record to the smart card. If the device has network access, it transmits a deposit confirmation to the remote system, which updates the smart card account to include the confirmation. If the device unable to connect to the remote system, the deposit confirmation is transmitted when the smart card is involved in a future transaction. During the future transaction, the smart card transmits its transaction history, which comprises the deposit confirmation, to the device, and the device transmits the transaction history to the remote system. The remote system updates the smart card account to include the deposit confirmation.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to initiating and completing peer to peer payments or peer to merchant payments initiated by financial cards and cameras of mobile devices. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods may provide an accurate determination of parties involved in a peer to peer transaction, be useable with hardware and software that users are already in possession of, and securely initiate a peer to peer transaction. The disclosed systems may include a server communicatively coupled to a mobile device by a network. The server may receive an image of one or more financial cards, retrieve account information for each financial card in the received image, generate a proposed transaction based on the retrieved account information, transmit the proposed transaction to the mobile device, receive approval for the proposed transaction and initiate a payment or a transfer to an account based on the retrieved account information.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for receipt management includes receiving, using a mobile wallet stored on a mobile device of a user, receipts that include a record of transactions between the user and one or more merchants, the transactions being performed using the mobile wallet account of the user. The method includes receiving a receipt; extracting identifying information from the receipt; associating the receipt with a transaction based on the identifying information extracted from the receipt; and displaying the receipt and the receipt data.

Abstract: Methods and devices for online payments are disclosed. Prior to accepting payment account information from a user for the payment transaction, a client terminal sends an interface listing command to a transaction server, requesting the transaction server to identify one or more acceptable input interfaces for receiving the payment account information. The transaction server responds to the interface listing command by a payment input instruction. The client terminal uses the payment input instructions to generate a payment information interface to present the one or more acceptable input interfaces for user selection. The user can choose how to input the payment information that best conforms to the user's expectations for security and convenience. The current method, device and system provide additional flexibility, improve efficiency, and facilitate online payment.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for authenticating mobile payments from a customer account to a merchant. The systems and methods may include a financial service provider receiving a request to authorize an electronic transaction at a point-of-sale. A financial service provider server computer may verify that the customer is present at the point-of-sale using received location data. An image having distorted text such as a captcha may be transmitted to a device at the point-of-sale, and the customer may read the captcha aloud. A voice sample of the customer may be sent to the financial service provider for comparison to stored voice recordings, to verify that the customer's voice sample is authentic if the voice matches a previously generated voice recording for the account. If the voice sample is authentic, the financial service provider may authorize the mobile payment.

Abstract: Method, systems, and apparatus for integrated online and offline sales management. A system manages both offline and online transactions and inventory in an integrated environment. An offline transaction is a sale at a point of sale (POS) system, e.g., at a typical “brick and mortar shop” physical store. An online transaction is a sale using an online store, e.g., an online shopping cart and checkout system accessed by a web browser or other application. An online store can be converted to offline store, and vice versa. An inventory management system can receive an input from a merchant device of merchant designating an item carried by the merchant as an item to be sold at the physical store, at the online store, or both. The inventory management system can modify a record of the item to respond to the input.

Abstract: A transaction card construction and computer-implemented methods for a transaction card are described. The transaction card has vector formatted visible information lasered onto its surface. In some embodiments, systems and methods are disclosed for enabling the sourcing of visible information using a scalable vector format. The systems and methods may receive a request to add a first plurality of visible information to a transaction card and capture an image of the first plurality of visible information. The systems and methods may also map the image to a bounding box and convert the mapped image into vector format. In addition, the systems and methods may provide the converted image to a laser machine.

Abstract: An internet-based method and system is disclosed for creating and printing sheets of more customized stickers. The system includes, a database of assets stored on a central server accessible via the internet, wherein the assets are graphic images, objects and text that can be accessed and manipulated by a user at a remote location. A user interface provides the user with a canvas corresponding to the sheet of stickers, asset tools to access, select and save assets that are used to create the stickers, asset transformation tools to manipulate the assets on the canvas, and die-cut tools to create die-cut borders surrounding each of the stickers. The once the sheet of stickers has been created, the user can place an order for the sheet to be printed and delivered to the user.

Abstract: A method of identifying authentic products versus counterfeit products using tow unique identifier codes is accomplished by providing a first identifier code on the exterior of a product package that identifies the product, the appropriate location for sale, the number of times the code has been scanned and whether or not the product is registered. This information alerts potential purchasers if the product is either counterfeit, or an unauthorized resale. The purchaser then opens the package and is provided a second identifier code for registering the product. The registration information includes retailer and price information, alerting the manufacturer of unauthorized retail activity, and also changes the product designation in the manufacturer database to indicate the product may not be resold. That information is then associated with the first identifier code in the event it is rescanned by another potential purchaser.

Abstract: A method and system for communicating transactional data determines gift card data from a gift card offered for sale by a customer and customer information about the customer from an identity document of the customer. The gift card data is associated with the customer information. A balance of the gift card is determined based at least partly on the gift card data. A purchase offer for purchasing the gift card from the customer is calculated based at least partly on the balance. If the balance of the gift card changes, a fraud alert may be associated with the customer information of the customer.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for evaluating the cause and effect of advertising and marketing programs using card transaction data. In one embodiment, access is provided to voluminous card-holder transaction data detailing accurate-to-the-penny transaction amounts, twenty-four hour active customers, and a multi-year transaction history per customer. Furthermore, such data is captured in real-time, and due to the sample size, can provide granular, statistically significant information at a local level for client and merchant coverage.

Abstract: Embodiments of methods and systems for incorporating user generated content into a web page are disclosed. In particular, embodiments of such systems and methods may incorporate user generated content into a web page such that the user generated content can be consumed by indexers associated with search engines in association with that web page. Additionally, embodiments may also provide a mechanism by which user generated content may be received and included in a web page when that web page is rendered. Using embodiments as disclosed herein user generated content may be exposed to a search engine indexer in a web page while still providing a mechanism for incorporating the freshest user generated content in such a web page.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, in real-time, user information associated with a user of a client computing device. One or more user features are derived from the user information associated with the user. The one or more user features include one or more user intents. The one or more user intents are matched with one or more of a plurality of advertiser intents. The user information is determined to be accepted. In response to accepting the user information, an advertisement is generated based on the matching of the one or more user intents and the one or more of the plurality of advertiser intents.

Abstract: Contextual or cumulative interpretation is applied to individual user queries to improve the accuracy of sponsored and/or non-sponsored search results. Queries are interpreted based on present features derived from a user query in the context of past features derived from qualified past queries such as those previously received during a user query session. Based on contextual interpretation, present features may be augmented using past features. A search is performed using augmented features instead of present features. Contextual interpretation of queries improves search system understanding of the context in which queries are submitted, which is particularly helpful when interpolating query intent to develop features not expressed in a query. Contextual interpretation permits queries to be interpreted and treated more uniformly and more intelligently. As a result, users and advertisers benefit from more precise sponsored and/or non-sponsored search results.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of processing a call are disclosed. One example method may include receiving a request at a server for dealer information. The request may be initiated by a user via his or her mobile station. The example method may also include determining whether there is user preference information and user location information included in the request. The method may determine one or more promotion pricing parameters for a promotion that is offered by a promotion and marketing service. The method includes generating one or more predictive models based on historical promotion performance data and generating a revenue equation using the one or more predictive models. The revenue equation provides an estimate of a revenue received by the promotion and marketing service based on the one or more predictive models. The method further includes determining an estimated revenue using the revenue equation based on one or more input sets of promotion pricing parameters provided as input to the revenue equation, and selecting at least one of the input sets of promotion pricing parameters for the promotion based on the estimated revenue. Abstract: Embodiments relate to systems and methods for generating multi-cloud incremental billing capture and administration. A set of aggregate usage history data can store patterns for a user in a set of host clouds recording consumption of processor, memory, storage, operating system, or other resources subscribed to by the across the host clouds. The user can be a corporation or other collective user. An entitlement engine can access a set of subscription parameters and analyze the set of aggregate usage history data based on deviation from consumption limits or other subscription parameters. When resource limits (e.g. operating system instances) are exceeded in a host cloud, the entitlement engine can determine which resource was exceeded, and in which host cloud it was exceeded. Incremental billing for those events can be generated by the entitlement engine, and transmitted to the user via the host cloud and/or resource provider for presentation, collection, and reconciliation.

Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for providing access to data sets owned by different entities may include (1) providing a data marketplace platform that allows a plurality of data set owners to each list their own data sets for licensing to any of a plurality of prospective data set license buyers, (2) receiving, at the data marketplace platform, a data set owned by a data set owner, (3) creating a sale listing for the data set, (4) displaying, on the data marketplace platform, the sale listing for the data set to at least one prospective data set license buyer, (5) receiving, from the prospective data set license buyer, an order to license the data set, and (6) providing, via the data marketplace platform, access for the prospective data set license buyer to the data set. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
