A garment includes a closure flap movable between a covering and a non-covering position, wherein the opening device includes a base and an opening member connected to said closure flap and movable therewith into an out of an exposed, operative orientation corresponding to the closure flap being disposed into and out of the covering relation to the pocket. When in the operative orientation, the opening member includes an apertured construction disposed and structured to engage and exert a removing force on a closure of the container, wherein the closure may be in the form of a cap on bottle or other container.

Abstract: A fold-over security pocket is provided herein. The fold-over security pocket includes a panel having a first portion including an inner-facing surface that is overlaid with fasteners, a second portion including an inner-facing surface that is overlaid with complementary fasteners, and a hinge portion separating the first portion from the second portion. At least one of the inner-facing surfaces has a slit opening which extends into an interior space, so that an item may be inserted into the slit opening and stowed in the space. The hinge portion is flexible and enables the first portion to be folded over onto the second portion so that the inner-facing surfaces meet, and the fasteners mate with the complementary fasteners, thereby securing the pocket in a closed configuration as well as any item inserted into the space via the slit opening.

A clothing protection member may be disposed between the first member and the second member. Abstract: The subject invention is a bunker strap for attaching to two sides of a lower opening of a bunker pant leg of bunker pants, the bunker strap comprising an elongated band having a first end with a fastener for attaching to the pant leg and a second end with a fastener for attaching to the pant leg; wherein the elongated band is of sufficient length to be routed from one side if the lower opening, around a sole of a firefighter boot, and upwardly towards the other side of the lower opening.

Abstract: Apparatus for protecting a user from impacts to the head. The apparatus includes a shell configured to receive a human head and a plurality of structures attached to the outer surface of the shell. Each structure includes an outer cell that absorbs direct impacts. Each structure is independently coupled to the shell with a respective assembly. The structures move independently of one another and are restricted to sliding tangentially along the outer surface of the shell. The assemblies each include a biasing mechanism that absorbs tangential impacts to the structure and returns the respective structure to its rest position. Thus, a user is protected from the concussive effects of a head-on impact and the rotational acceleration injuries of a tangential impact.

Abstract: An eye protector includes a lens configured to protect the wearer from projectiles, and an optically clear stack attached to the lens. The stack can have one or more removable layers. The eye protector also includes an optically clear dry mount adhesive layer attaching the stack to the lens. The dry mount adhesive may be self-wetting to attach the stack to the lens so that air between the stack and the lens can be removed after the stack is attached and/or adhered to the lens, for example, by applying pressure across the surface of the stack. The refractive indices of the lens, the dry mount adhesive, and each removable layer are matched to within about 0.2.

The skate comprises a skate boot for receiving a foot of the user and a skating device (e.g., a blade and a blade holder) disposed beneath the skate boot to engage a skating surface. The skate boot may be constructed by molding (e.g., injection molding) so as to have useful performance and/or characteristics (e.g., reduced weight; enhanced fit, comfort and range of motion; enhanced appearance; etc.) while being cost-effectively manufactured.

The platform and lattice structure are integrally formed by printing a first surface of the platform to conform to a sole of a foot of a user and, in association therewith, printing the lattice structure on a second surface of the platform opposite the first surface of the platform. The method also includes positioning the midsole substantially within an outsole such that the lattice structure is substantially facing the outsole and the platform is substantially facing an upper.

Abstract: Described are soles for a shoe having a region with a plurality of pellets, each pellet having a hollow core structure. The plurality of pellets are formed of a composite material comprising a base layer and an outer layer. The base layer is formed of a material having a first melting temperature, and the outer layer is formed of a material having a second melting temperature. The first melting temperature is greater than the second melting temperature, and the plurality of pellets are bonded through melting of the outer layers while the inner layers retain the hollow core structure without melting.

Abstract: A sole assembly for an article of footwear is disclosed. The sole assembly includes a central support structure that extends along the sole assembly in the longitudinal direction. The sole assembly includes forefoot wing portions extending away from the central support structure in the lateral direction in the forefoot region of the sole assembly. The sole assembly also includes stability rib portions extending away from the central support structure in the lateral direction in the midfoot region of the sole assembly. The central support structure provides varying amounts of stiffness and flexibility to the sole assembly and the forefoot wing portions and stability rib portions provide additional stiffness and flexibility to desired portions of the sole assembly.

Abstract: An article of footwear or another product may incorporate a pressure chamber that includes (a) a bladder at least partially formed from a polymer material that is sealed to enclose a pressurized fluid and (b) a strand wound around the bladder and secured to the bladder. In manufacturing the pressure chamber, a bladder with an elongate configuration may be formed. A strand is wound around the bladder, and the strand is secured to the bladder. When incorporated to a sole structure of the article of footwear, for example, a portion of the bladder that includes the strands may be exposed at an outer surface of the sole structure.

Abstract: A bowling shoe sole fastening system of structures that allows a variety of outsoles to be attached to and detached from the midsole that improve the consistency of the flex of the show throughout a bowler's stride, which allow the bowling shoe to be adjusted to achieve consistent stopping and sliding characteristics over a variety of bowling lane conditions and maintain consistent performance in the flex of the shoe across cycles of attachment, detachment, and reattachment.

Abstract: A footwear insole shape is generated by supplying a core reinforced filament having a matrix material impregnating reinforcing strands aligned along the filament, as well as a fill material separately from the core reinforced filament and depositing at least one shell of fill material within an insole shape upon a print bed. The core reinforced filament is deposited to fuse to the fill material within a first reinforcing region formed with respect to the insole shape. A cutter upstream of the nozzle tip cuts the core reinforced filament, and a remainder of the core reinforced filament is deposited to complete the first reinforcing region. A nozzle tip applies pressure to continuously compact the core reinforced filament toward the insole shape as the core reinforced filament is fused to the fill material.

Abstract: A cord lock includes various components used to slidably adjust a cord length, such as one or more housing components that releasably clamp around the cord. In one aspect, the cord lock includes an arrangement of magnets that bias the cord-lock housing components away from one another, in order to secure the cord between the housing components. The housing components can be pressed towards one another to slidably adjust the cord. In a further aspect, the cord lock may also include a magnetized excess-cord retainer that attaches to a portion of the cord and that releasably attaches to the cord lock in order to help gather excess cord pulled through the cord lock.

Abstract: A locking buckle is formed of a male member with one or more flexible portions having a first position and a second position, and a female member adapted for receiving the flexible portions in the first position and allowing the one or more flexible portions to assume the second position to form a secure engagement with the male member. A rotatable member includes a periphery adapted for tactile engagement, the movable member preventing movement of the one or more flexible portions to the first position in a locked condition and allowing movement of the one or more flexible portions in an unlocked condition. A retainer retains the rotatable member in an opening of the female member. The male member may engage and move the rotatable member from the locked condition to the unlocked condition when inserted into the female member, and a detent may control the movement of the rotatable member. Related methods are disclosed.

Abstract: A reusable zipper system for allowing a zipper to be installed and removed onto different objects interchangeably. The reusable zipper system generally includes an inner member and an outer member. The inner member is removably secured to an object via adhesive around an opening to be fitted with the present invention. The outer member is removably secured over the inner member. After cutting a slit through the inner member, a zipper assembly which includes zipper tracks and a zipper head may be used to selectively open or close the flaps. When desired, the inner and outer members may be removed from the object to be used elsewhere.

Abstract: Collapsible portable containers having a foldable wall section with shape-retaining characteristics are disclosed. In particular, collapsible, wheeled suitcases and trolleys are provided. One or more casters of a collapsible suitcase may be retractable to permit a folding region of a wall section to overlap the depth dimension of the casters when in the collapsed position. The folding region may include foldable tiers of a flexible material, each tier having at least one stable, relatively expanded position and at least one stable, relatively collapsed position; and an intervening, non-folding tier. The non-folding tier may be of the same material as the flexible tiers but stiffer due to its geometry, or it may be composed of a different, relatively rigid material.

Abstract: A carrying system includes a carrying device such as a bag, an attachment assembly such as one or more straps connected with the bag, and an item having a receiving element configured to receive a portion of a strap to thereby secure the item with the carrying device. In some examples the bag includes various attachment regions that provide locations on the interior and exterior of the bag for attaching multiple items. The bag further includes multiple interchangeable straps to provide the user with both functional and appearance choices in using the bag.

In the structure of a hand-carrying portion of a bag of the present invention, the hand-carrying member has support members intervened both longitudinal edges for raising the hand-carrying member upward from the bag main body. The support member is coupled, with the overlapping region of the support member and the overlapping region of the hand-carrying member sewed together so that a crest portion of the support member faces a crest portion of the hand-carrying member so as to be positioned oppositely thereto. The hand-carrying member is fixing to the bag main body in one and other fixing regions of the hand-carrying member.

The applicator includes a body with a support assembly supported by the body and configured to receive and support the dispenser with one of the gems aligned with an application target area. A plunger having a push rod is supported by the body and movable relative thereto between an initial position and an application position wherein the push rod engages the aligned gem and pushes the gem such that the adhesive backing of the aligned gem moves toward the application target area. The gem dispenser may include a belt having a strip configuration with a plurality of spaced apart gem openings extending through the belt. Each gem is aligned with a respective gem opening.

Abstract: This invention relates to the removal of hair including the root, from the nostrils and the ear canals, as well as for some various facial hairs. It is a mechanical device using a tension coil spring attached to a plunger and housing assembly to extend the spring, thereby creating multiple openings between the individual coils of the spring so as to allow multiple hairs to enter the openings, after which the plunger is released and the coils of the spring retract, grabbing the hairs with adequate friction to pull them out. This device is operated by the thumb and two fingers and can remove any unwanted hair, particularly nose and ear hair, within a couple of minutes with almost no pain.

Abstract: There is provided a cutter for a double-edged eyelid-forming tape or thread. After the tape or thread has been attached to an eyelid, the cutter can perform a cutting action on an extra portion of the tape or thread. A cut is formed in a metal plate to extend from its front end to an intermediate position. By bending a pair of cut pieces in opposite directions, a cutting part is formed on the first end side of a cutter piece. A holding part on the second end side of the cutter piece is embedded in a gripping piece and is secured. Each cut piece is formed with a curved surface on the first end side from the terminating part of the cut through a bent front end to a bent width end. The cut piece is extended from the bent width end to a front end edge.

Abstract: For a hairdressing cape, a round opening is formed at the center of an upper region of at least a front cloth and a back cloth, and a collar portion with an overlapping portion is formed which is sewn to a peripheral edge of the round opening by folding an edge portion. A clasp is mounted to an inner end portion at one side of the overlapping portion of the collar portion, and a ladder tape is mounted from near an end portion at the other side of the collar portion to an upper region of the back cloth. By making the clasp be caught and fastened in an arbitrary position of the ladder tape, the overlapping portion of the collar portion is fastened.

Abstract: A cup holder accessory for a carrying bag. The cup holder accessory comprises of a vertical support that attaches to a horizontal support. The horizontal supports attaches to a beverage support tray that can be placed in two positions. One position runs parallel to the horizontal support and the second position is perpendicular to the horizontal support. When the beverage support tray is in the horizontal position, a spring loaded door that is attached within the vertical support holds the beverage support tray in the horizontal position.

Abstract: A holder for an electronic communications device is provided having a first clasping arm, a second clasping arm, and an elastic cord retainer. The first clasping arm has an articulating base member at a proximal end, an edge engagement portion at a distal end, and a receiving groove. The second clasping arm has a complementary articulating base member at a proximal end, an edge engagement portion at a distal end, and a receiving groove. The base member of the second clasping arm cooperates in assembly with the base member of the first clasping arm to define an articulating joint with the receiving groove of the first clasping arm and the second clasping arm each offset in a distal direction from the resulting hinge pivot. The elastic cord retainer urges together the first clasping arm with the second clasping arm about the articulating joint. A method is also provided.

The radius limiter travels at half-speed relative to the drawer. The radius limiter also automatically rotates relative to the travel of the drawer. Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for a sofa seat cushion comprising a cushion core including a multiplicity of pocketed springs enclosed within an upholstery foam envelope. The pocketed springs are positioned side by side in a spring layer arrangement and are independently operable. A memory foam layer positioned above the upholstery foam envelope comprises a material capable of molding to a person's body sitting on the sofa seat cushion and then quickly returning to an original shape once the person leaves the sofa seat cushion. The memory foam layer comprises a gel-infused visco-elastic memory foam with a polyethylene terephthalate layer positioned there above. Directly below the upholstery foam envelope is an upholstery-grade polyurethane foam layer with a polyethylene terephthalate layer positioned directly thereunder. An exterior upholstery surrounding the cushion core provides a plush seating surface.

The frame component can extend from a bottom portion, positioned near an underside of the seat, to a top portion, configured to maintain the back support at a position above the seat. The back support can laterally extend from a left edge portion to a right edge portion and can include a spring member at or near each of the left and right edge portions. The spring member can include at least one undulation or are providing integrated compression adaptation to a user. The seating assembly can further comprise a tilt mechanism, engaged with the frame component, including one or more leaf springs and a spring contact assembly. The spring contact assembly can be positioned on a top side of the one or more leaf springs.

Abstract: The invention concerns an adjustable bed comprising a frame and at least one adjustable body support section including an adjustable backrest support section pivotally mounted for angular adjustment with respect to the frame. The frame comprises at least two sections including an upper body section on which the back rest is mounted and a separate lower body section. The upper and lower body sections are capable of being joined together to provide a full length adjustable bed. The invention provides an adjustable bed that can be stored and transported in two parts (plus mattress), which provides for ease of storage, display, delivery and installation.

Abstract: An audio bed board having an inertial type acoustics transducer is disclosed. The novel bed board structure is capable of emitting sound without any exposed audio speakers or speaker openings allowing sound to escape. The bed board typically acts as an audio emitter. In a preferred embodiment, the bed board is generally hollow thereby allowing the installation of the acoustic elements within the bed board. Additionally, an audio amplifier contained therein may be coupled to the headboard, other bed structures or surrounding structures. The bed board generally has a surface adjacent one of head end and foot end having no normally apparent openings so as to facilitate cleaning of the bed board. Furthermore, the emitted sound signal may utilize multiple audio sources for reproduction by the bed board sound system including but not limited to digital, analog, optical and emergency signals.

Abstract: A device assists infants and toddlers while they learn to walk while preventing posture fatigue for the parent or caregiver of the infants and toddlers. The device includes a crossbar for the parent or caregiver to hold on to and two rings for the infants and toddlers to grasp. The rings can adjust in their distance from the crossbar and are attached to the crossbar via a rope or webbing. The device requires no straps or harnesses and is easily collapsible and portable.

Abstract: A merchandise display system can include a pusher extender that increases the pushing surface of the pusher. The pusher extender may define an elongated pusher body having a cavity. The pusher extender may be configured to slide over the pusher wall via the cavity like a sleeve. The pusher extender with an enlarged, substantially planar surface thereby creates an enlarged pushing surface for pushing larger products toward the front of the display system. The pusher extender can also be provided with an angled pusher surface to accommodate larger products. The display system can be mounted to a rear hang bar located towards the back of the shelf. A hanger may be positioned within a cavity formed in the divider and extend the length of the divider. The hook end of the hanger may then be positioned on the hang bar and the entire system may cantilever out from the hang bar.

Abstract: An improved hook for use with a pegboard is provided. The improved hook has a vertical central body, an L-shaped upper anchor, a U-shaped lower anchor, and a horizontal rod for hanging tools and objects. The L-shaped upper anchor and U-shaped lower anchor are configured to secure the hook on the pegboard such that the hook does not get accidently dislodged from the pegboard. A lever on the U-shaped lower anchor is provided to release the anchor and hook from the pegboard.

Abstract: A basket hanger a method of forming a hook for the basket hanger and a method of attaching the basket hanger to a basket. The basket hanger having a hook with a plurality of steel wires strands attached at a proximal end to the hook, the steel wire strands having a substantially straight downwardly extending portion terminated at a distal end in a clip with an upwardly extending leg, the upwardly extending leg canted to one side and having a dogleg. The steel wire strands may be spring steel.
