Abstract: The operating unit for a vehicle, in particular for a vehicle component, is provided with a housing (10) which has an operating element (12), such as a display for example, and is designed to be secured in a device, in particular in a vehicle dashboard. The operating element (12) is elastically mounted on the housing (10). An actuator (16) is additionally provided for mechanically exciting the operating element (12) when an operation of the operating element (12) has been detected. Finally, the operating unit also has a vibration compensating mass (20) which can be mechanically excited by the actuator or by one actuator (16) when an operation of the operating element (12) has been detected and/or which is mounted on the housing (10) and can be moved in order to substantially compensate for forces acting on the housing (10) when the operating element (12) is moved.

Abstract: A vehicle control unit (e.g., a control unit for an automobile) receives feedback from an intelligent voltage/current sensor and a DC/DC controller. The DC/DC controller comprises a first switch for controlling power from a primary power source (e.g., low voltage power supplied from a high voltage battery). The intelligent voltage/current sensor senses power output from the primary power source. The vehicle control unit processes feedback from the intelligent voltage/current sensor and/or the DC/DC controller to determine if a failure has occurred in the primary power source. In response to determining the failure in the primary power source, the vehicle control unit disables the power from the primary power source using a second switch (e.g., a switch in a relay).

Abstract: This motor driving control apparatus has (A) an inverter unit configured to drive a motor; (B) a separation switch configured to separate a power source from the inverter unit; and (C) a controller configured to instruct the separation switch to separate the power source from the inverter unit and control the inverter unit to perform switching according to a speed and a braking target torque, upon detecting an event that braking should be performed without passing a regenerative current to the power source from the inverter unit. By introducing the separation switch that operates as described above, it becomes possible to perform control so as to consume the power by the motor itself without passing the regenerative current to the power source such as a battery.
