The media exchanger (50) receives outside air (38) and the cooling section (22) receives return air (32) from and interior space (34). When the cooling fluid (130) circulates into the cooling section (22) via the cooling circuit (120), the temperature of the return air (32) is reduced through indirect heat transfer between the cooling fluid (130) and the return air (32) to produce conditioned air (84). The conditioned air (84) is provided as supply air (46) into the interior space (34). When the cooling fluid circulates into the media exchanger via the cooling circuit, the temperature of the cooling fluid is reduced through direct heat transfer between the cooling fluid and the outside air.

Abstract: A plate heat exchanger comprises a plate package of permanently connected heat exchanger plates that defines a surrounding wall. Two mounting plates are permanently connected to an end surface of the plate package, in spaced relation to each other. Each mounting plate comprises opposing flat engagement surfaces and a peripheral edge that forms a perimeter of the mounting plate. Each mounting plate is arranged with one of its engagement surfaces permanently connected to the end surface, such that the peripheral edge partially extends beyond the outer periphery of the end surface, to define a mounting flange, and partially extends across the end surface in contact with the same. The mounting plates have a decreasing thickness towards the peripheral edge in predefined intersection regions, which are located where the peripheral edge intersects with the perimeter of the surrounding wall as seen in a normal direction to the end surface.

Abstract: A pressure and/or temperature relief header for use in an HVAC heat transfer coil includes a main body adapted to be secured to bends in fluid coils of the HVAC fluid tube system. The main body includes holes in alignment with holes formed in the bends to enable liquid to pass from the bends into the expansion relief header. The expansion relief headers include a pressure release valve that automatically opens, preferably in response to pressure exceeding a predetermined threshold value or temperature falling below a predetermined value, to release liquid from the expansion relief header and then reseats. A discharge housing collects liquid released through the pressure release valve. A sensor detects the presence of liquid in the discharge housing.

Abstract: A cooler bypass valve assembly for an agricultural implement includes a cooler bypass valve configured to receive hydraulic fluid from a hydraulic supply. The cooler bypass valve position is adjustable between a first position that facilitates flow of the hydraulic fluid to a cooler bypass and restricts flow of the hydraulic fluid to a hydraulic fluid cooler, and a second position that blocks flow of the hydraulic fluid to the cooler bypass and facilitates flow of the hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic fluid cooler. The hydraulic fluid cooler is capable of reducing a temperature of the hydraulic fluid, and the cooler bypass directs the hydraulic fluid around the hydraulic fluid cooler. Additionally, the cooler bypass valve assembly includes a control assembly that controls the cooler bypass valve position based on the temperature of the hydraulic fluid.

  • Patent number: 10260825
Abstract: A dual fluid heat exchange system is presented that provides a stable output temperature for a heated fluid while minimizing the output temperature of a cooled fluid. The heated and cooled fluids are brought into thermal contact with each other within a tank. The output temperature of the warmed fluid is maintained at a stable temperature by a re-circulation loop that connects directly to the mid portion of the tank such that the re-circulated fluid flow primarily warms only a re-circulation section of the tank. The other, lower flow rate, section of the tank may be positioned so that it has a cooler temperature and thus serves to increase the efficiency of the heat exchange by extracting extra heat energy out of the cooled fluid before it leaves the tank. Alternatively, the low flow rate section of the tank may be warmer than the re-circulated section, and thus allow the re-circulated section to be cooler than the output temperature of the warmed fluid.
