Abstract: The present invention relates to a battery powered right angle aircraft drill comprising a motor, an adapter collar, a spindle gear shaft, and an angled head. An electrically powered motor rotates a shaft. The adapter collar secures the motor to the angled head, establishing a formlocking connection between the motor and the angled head along an axis, the adapter being annular and having an opening extending therethrough. The shaft of the motor is cooperatively joined to the spindle gear shaft. The spindle gear shaft has a first end extending to a second end, the first end joined to the shaft of the motor, the second end of the spindle gear shaft includes splines. The angled head includes splines mating to the splines of the spindle gear shaft, and further includes a tool bit receptacle, whereby the rotational force of shaft of the motor is translated through the spindle gear shaft to the angled head, actuating a tool bit in the tool bit receptacle.

Abstract: Kickback control methods for power tools. One power tool includes a movement sensor configured to measure an angular velocity of the housing of the power tool about the rotational axis. The power tool includes an electronic processor coupled to the switching network and the movement sensor and configured to implement kickback control of the power tool. To implement the kickback control, the electronic processor is configured to control the switching network to drive the brushless DC motor, receive measurements of the angular velocity of the housing of the power tool from the movement sensor, determine that a plurality of the measurements of the angular velocity of the housing of the power tool exceed a rotation speed threshold, and control the switching network to cease driving of the brushless DC motor in response to determining that the plurality of the measurements of the angular velocity exceed the rotation speed threshold.

Abstract: A hand tool includes a handle, a press member, a shank body and multiple latch assemblies. The handle is formed with a receiving cavity and a locating hole in communication with the receiving cavity. The press member is movably disposed in the locating hole. The shank body is fitted in the receiving cavity and movable relative to the handle. The shank body is formed with multiple sockets. The latch assemblies are respectively mounted in the sockets. When the shank body is moved, (for example, slid or rotated) relative to the handle to make one of the sockets aligned with the locating hole, the latch assembly latches the shank body with the handle. When pressing the press member, the latch assembly unlatches the shank body from the handle, the shank body is movable relative to the handle.

Abstract: Techniques for installing a robotic arm, such as for use in a product packaging environment are described. In an example, a floor-supported plate may define a number of holes to allow connection of the plate to selected locations in the concrete floor. In an example, holes defined in the plate that are in undesirable locations in the concrete floor may not be used to bolt the plate to the floor. In contrast, holes that are in more favorable locations in the plate can be used to bolt the plate to the floor. The floor-supported plate may also be configured with alignment features that assist in connection of one or more supporting or related systems to the plate. Examples of the systems that may be connected to the plate, and/or aligned by contact with the plate, include conveyor systems, case-providing cassette(s), and pallet location and/or alignment guides.
