  • Patent number: RE47388
Abstract: The present invention provides an agent for alleviating side effects caused by use of an anti-tumor agent, which contains 5-chloro-6-(2-iminopyrrolidin-1-yl)methyl-2,4(1H,3H-pyrimidi nedione (1) represented by formula (1): or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The 5-chloro-6-(2-iminopyrrolidin-1-yl)methyl-2,4(1H,3H)-pyrimidinedione or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof exhibit an inflammatory-suppressing action in the digestive tract and advantageously alleviate diarrhea and loss of body weight concomitant with administration of a chemical for treating cancer without suppressing the anti-tumor effect. Thus, the compounds of the present invention are of great value as agents for alleviating side effects caused by use of an anti-tumor agent, which enable not only the chemotherapy to be continuedly carried out, but also the body exhaustion to be effectively prevented.

  • Patent number: RE47394
Abstract: An electronic device has first and second circuitry. A wireless trigger signal at the first circuitry causes the second circuitry to power up to receive a second wireless signal. The second signal is according to a radio access technology for which the trigger signal is incompatible. In various embodiments the first circuitry (a low power receiver) may autonomously power up upon expiration of a timer. One or more security checks can be performed at various steps, each step conditional on passing the previous security check. The first circuitry operates at a lower power than the second circuitry which comprises a broadband radio. For example, the first circuitry might be a Bluetooth low energy receiver, and a trigger signal there causes a WLAN receiver to power up in order to download software/firmware updates or user content while the device is enroute between the manufacturer and end user.

  • Patent number: 10285321
Abstract: A sleeve type bushing/bearing is assembled/pressed into a pivoting frame structure. This bearing runs on a spindle tube which is bolted rigidly to a support arm structure. The support arm structure supports the outside diameter of the spindle tube and well as clamping to the end face of the spindle tube. This support eliminates most of the shear load from being applied at the joint face to the bolt outside diameter. The larger outside diameter of the spindle tube can support more shear force through the joint allowing greater functional pressure to be applied through the joint without failure. The Joint can be easily assembled and disassembled in multiple configurations and for replacement of worn parts if needed and includes a sleeve type bearing which is maintenance free and requires no greasing or other lubrication.

  • Patent number: 10285324
Abstract: A method and a device for feeding granular material in an agricultural implement and an agricultural implement comprising such a device. The method includes establishing an air flow through a take-up zone in a direction toward an outlet of the take-up zone from an inlet of the take-up zone. The take-up zone, has an extend which, viewed in a horizontal plane, is defined by a roof above the take-up zone and side walls extending downward from the roof, so that a space, which is open in the downward direction and toward an outlet, is formed between the roof and the side walls. The method also includes feeding the material to the take-up zone with the aid of gravity, so that the material falls in a direction transversely to the airflow into the take-up zone, thus delimiting the space in the downward direction and adjusting an adjustable part which is adjustable between at least two positions, to regulate a flow rate of the airflow in the space between the material and the roof.

Growth substrates are inserted into the slot regions, and each of the growth substrates has a first side that is exposed through one of the grid panels for planting, and a second side that holds soil within a corresponding one of the slot regions.

Abstract: The present invention is a compact plant enclosure intended for use in locations with peripheral space restrictions. The top and one side of the enclosure form a continuous curved face which consists of multiple translucent flexible access panels that can be slid along guide channels incorporated into the sides of the curved frame components on either side of the flexible panels. The guide channels and flexible panel edges may incorporate retention features that limit the lateral movement of the flexible access panels. The opposing wall may include a single translucent vertical panel or multiple vertical access panels. The remaining two vertical sides of the plant enclosure each consist of a fixed, translucent rigid panel. In another embodiment of the present invention, multiple distinct intermediate segments of the enclosure are defined by interstitial curved and vertical frame components supporting adjacent sets of flexible access and opposing vertical panels.

Abstract: A structural cell system for supporting hardscape, allowing tree root growth, and managing stormwater underneath the hardscape. The system may include: a base having a plurality of receptacles and a plurality of support members interconnecting the receptacles; a plurality of legs each sized and shaped to be attachable to the base within one of the receptacles so as to extend from the base, and to be attachable to another of the legs so that pairs of legs attached to each other collectively extend from the base; and a top attachable to the legs. Outer edges of the base, the top, and the legs attached thereto define a volume, and are configured to support at least that portion of the hardscape overlying the top as well as a commercial vehicle traffic load thereon, while maintaining soil in a substantially uncompacted state throughout at least approximately ninety percent of the volume.

Abstract: A water line support device includes a pair of stakes that extend perpendicularly downward from a horizontal support member and a plurality of water line retention mechanisms that may be positioned on the top or bottom side of the horizontal member. In simple form, the plurality of integral retention mechanisms have a recessed channel that is oriented parallel to the ground and perpendicular to the horizontal member. The horizontal member has a top side and a bottom side connected on opposite sides of a middle support such that the top side, middle support and bottom side form an I-beam configuration when viewed as a cross section of the horizontal member. The middle support can be reinforced or braced with diagonal supports that also are connected to and support the top side and the bottom side of the horizontal member. A logo can be added to the horizontal support member.

Abstract: An irrigation drip emitter, and methods relating to same, are provided for delivering irrigation water from a supply tube to an emitter outlet at a reduced and relatively constant flow rate. The emitter having at least one moveable member for compensating for fluctuations in supply line fluid pressure. In one form the emitter further includes a root growth inhibiting member for hindering roots from obstructing fluid flow through the emitter. In another form, the emitter includes an inlet protrusion so that fluid entering the emitter comes from a position closer to the central or center portion of the conduit in order to avoid larger obstructions that may be located near the periphery of the conduit. In another form, the emitter includes a carrier for assisting in mounting the emitter into conduit. In another form, more than one of the above features are present.
