Abstract: A control device for automatic transmission of the present invention includes a transmission mechanism and a park lock device. The park lock device has a rod member and a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism restricts movement of the rod member when being in a locked state. If a CPU reset (reset of a CPU constituting an ATCU) occurs, the control device maintains the locked state of the lock mechanism after a return from the CPU reset.

Abstract: Provided is a method of setting a neutral position of each speed-range shift rail for accurate gear-shifting in a transmission gear actuator. The method includes a reference neutral position determination step of determining a reference neutral position as an absolutely neutral position by reciprocating a shift finger in a free-range shift rail, and a speed-range neutral position determination step of determining a neutral position of each speed-range shift rail by reciprocating a control finger in the speed-range shift rail. Since the neutral position of each speed-range shift rail is set through the above method, it is possible to perform more accurate gear-shifting and prevent incomplete gear engagement by performing the gear-shifting at the neutral position of each speed-range shift rail.

  • Publication number: 20190186636
Abstract: A split seal ring having end faces that self-align in both the axial and radial directions is prepared by forming an opposing first pair of angled grooves extending from an inner edge partway across the seal ring inner diameter, and a second pair of angled grooves extending from the inner edge partway across the seal ring rear surface. In embodiments, corresponding grooves meet to form V-shapes. Additional grooves can extend from the outer edge partway across the inner diameter. Corresponding grooves extending from the outer and inner edges on the inner diameter can terminate at locations that are offset radially and/or angularly. By applying an outward force, the seal ring is split at the groove locations into split ring sections having mating end faces. The resulting end face geometry is sufficiently complex to cause both radial and axial realignment as the seal ring halves are mated together.

The male stem may include an elongated body with a latch groove, and the ferrule may include a latch. The retainer may be disposed on the male stem and may be configured to couple the ferrule to the male stem such that the latch is aligned with the latch groove. A method of assembling a hose coupling assembly may include contacting an inner surface of a retainer with a shoulder of a male stem; deflecting, via the shoulder, a retention feature of the retainer; aligning a portion of the retention feature with a latch groove of the male stem; contacting a latch of a ferrule with an outer surface of the retention feature; deflecting, via the latch, the retention feature; and aligning the latch with the latch groove.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for an improved safety cam lock fitting having double cam levers having outer and inner portions so that when the outer cam levers are opened and the inner cam lever remain closed, the male and female portions of the cam lock fitting only slightly separate from each other allowing the operator to quickly reclose the cam lock fitting if the operator observes that the cam lock fitting still contains pressurized material. This is accomplished by providing a larger cam lobe on the outer cam lever and a smaller cam lobe on the inner cam lever so that when the smaller cam lobe is in a closed position and protrudes into a peripheral groove on the male portion the male and female ends have a small space therein between. Various lever locking assemblies may be used to prevent the cam levers from being inadvertently opened.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are fluidic couplings for high pressure sealing without tools that can apply large amounts of torque. One embodiment of a fitting includes a compression screw, a fluid-carrying tube extending through a bore in the compression screw, a sleeve disposed around the tube, and a seal coupled to the sleeve such that the seal surrounds a distal end portion of the sleeve. This positioning of the seal can facilitate more efficient sealing using less force and creating less dead volume. Such a fitting can be combined, for example, with a driver having a recess formed therein that can surround the compression screw and transfer rotational force thereto. The driver can include outer surface features, such as knurling, that can facilitate a user directly grasping and tightening the fitting. Further, the fitting can include at least one marking used to achieve a desired seal without overtightening.

Abstract: A flow restrictor is adapted for application in a bearing arrangement between a piston and a cylinder of a gas compressor. The compressor includes a protective block that involves the cylinder externally, and also includes at least one inner cavity, which is fluidly fed by a discharge flow resulting from a compression movement exerted by the piston inside the cylinder. The compressor includes a bearing-arrangement clearance that separates the piston and an inner wall of the cylinder. The compressor includes at least one flow restrictor provided with a housing that associates fluidly the inner cavity to the bearing-arrangement clearance. The flow restrictor is associated to the housing by a process of at least partial plastic deformation inside the housing, the flow restrictor being provided with channels for passage of fluid, the plastic deformation being sized for limiting the gas flow through the inner cavity to the bearing-arrangement clearance.

Abstract: A system for coating a field joint of a pipeline places at least one body having a thermoplastics material around the field joint. The body is heated in a mould cavity around the field joint to effect thermal expansion of the thermoplastics material. Thermal expansion of the body in the mould cavity is constrained to apply elevated pressure between the body and pipe sections joined at the field joint. The elevated pressure improves bonding and fusing between the body, which forms a field joint coating, and the parent coatings and the exposed pipe sections of the pipe joints. The body need not be fully molten, which reduces the mould residence time including in-mould heating and cooling phases.
