Abstract: A hair gathering accessory can be formed as a comb or a brush device, and has a handle formed with a body. On one side of the body are a plurality of tines (e.g. comb teeth, brush bristles, etc.). On the other side of the body is a heat shield that is attached to the body and which extends away from the body some distance. The tines are used to gather a portion of hair while the hair gathering accessory is being held by a person, and the heat shield protects the person whose hair has been gathered from the heat of a hair iron that is applied to the gathered portion of hair.

Abstract: An automatic hair powder dispenser includes a housing, a cartridge that is installed in the housing and accommodates hair powder, a blower fan unit that is installed in the housing so as to be in communication with the cartridge, and a battery that is installed in the housing and supplies electric power to the blower fan unit. Two or more flow tubes through which air supplied from the blower fan unit flows in different directions are provided in the cartridge, thereby efficiently dispersing the hair powder in the cartridge and easily and uniformly discharging the hair powder.

Abstract: The system and method for applying cosmetics includes an integral unit formed of a lower housing, an upper housing and a cover. A compressor module is housed inside the lower housing. A control module is housed inside the upper housing, above the compressor module. The control module includes a view screen, printed circuit board connected to the compressor module, an interactive control board connected to the printed circuit board, and a speaker. There is a cosmetics applicator formed by an air hose and an airbrush stylus. The air hose connects to the compressor module to supply compressed air to the airbrush stylus. The control module regulates compressed air to the airbrush stylus. The method of applying cosmetics includes activating the control module, producing audiovisual prompts for loading cosmetics for a desired cosmetic application, producing audio visual instructions for applying cosmetics for the desired cosmetic application, and applying the cosmetics.

Abstract: The present invention is an electro-mechanical external skin pulling device for users to pull/stretch and hold in place their skin in an easy, reliable, safe and predictable manner to enable facial, eye, cheek, neck and/or throat appearance modifications, integrated with an optional wireless remote control adjustment/monitoring system using either a mobile communication device running an application for the present invention or a dedicated remote control device to adjust and maintain the desired skin alteration.

Abstract: Provided is a novel hydration system which incorporates a rigid, low-profile, contoured reservoir made of stainless steel or another suitable non-plastic material that replaces typical plastic water bladders and a flexible metal drinking hose in backpack-mounted hydration systems. The rigid metal reservoir hydration system solves several problems and health concerns associated with plastic hydration systems.

Abstract: A container for holding and delivering liquids is disclosed. A method of making the same is disclosed. The container can have a molded container top, a molded container bottom, a flexible film reservoir, and a handle extending from the container top to the container bottom. The reservoir can be laterally exposed around the entire circumference of the reservoir along a part of the longitudinal length of the reservoir. A thermally insulated reservoir system is disclosed. The reservoir system can have a bag having a multi-layered bag wall. The bag wall can have a first layer sealed to a second layer. The volume defined between the first layer and the second layer can be partially or completely filled with a fluid insulator, such as air or saline solution. The volume defined between the first layer and the second layer can also or alternately be partially or completely filled with a solid insulator, such as a matted fiber layer.

Abstract: A hair brush for use on animals or people has a planar base member with two major faces, the base member being formed with a plurality of shallow recesses on one of the faces. Two of the recesses are spaced from one another by an elongate area, and the base member is formed with at least one elongate groove on the other of the major faces of the base member. The groove is opposed to and parallel with the elongate area. Plural bristle plates are seated in respective recesses in the base member, each bristle plate exhibiting a multiplicity of prongs or tines. The bristle plates are substantially rigid at room temperature, while the base member is made of a material substantially more flexible at room temperature than the bristle plates.

Abstract: A brush, particularly a toothbrush, includes a head part with a cleaning structure that includes bristles, a hand part and a neck part, a cavity including at least one outlet opening for an active substance being located in the head or neck part. In one embodiment, the cavity incorporates an active substance element, containing the active substance in a carrier material and releases said substance in a controlled manner when it comes into contact with water. In another embodiment, the cavity is adapted to the shape of an active substance element by means of defined external contours. The volume of the cavity is preferably 1-2 times and no more than 4 times greater than the volume of the active substance element, ensuring that the latter is preferably surrounded by water during use. This allows the active substance to be effectively metered and ensures that the brush is easy to use.

Abstract: A liquid supply apparatus with leakage protection. The apparatus includes a housing defining a storage cavity having a total volume including a liquid portion and a gas portion. The storage cavity extends along a cavity axis. A capillary member is fluidly coupled with the liquid to transport the liquid to the external atmosphere. The apparatus includes a plurality of vents that prevent liquid from flowing therethrough while permitting air to pass therethrough. A hub component is mounted within the storage cavity and it includes a plurality of radial vent passageways extending between the storage cavity and a primary vent passageway, which in turn forms a pathway to the external atmosphere. The vents may be located and arranged such that irrespective of inclination and rotational orientation of the housing relative to a gravitational vector at least one of the vents is in spatial communication with the gas.

Abstract: A scissor-type banquet or event table comprises a tabletop removably coupled to and disposable upon a stand. The stand comprises a pair of leg frames pivotally coupled together at an intersection. The pair of leg frames comprise adjacent spars with each of the spars associated with a different one of the pair of leg frames. A safety spacer is disposed between the adjacent spars of the pair of leg frames and separates the adjacent spars. The safety spacer has a thickness so that the adjacent spars are spaced-apart by a gap greater than ¾? to resist pinching a user's fingers. In addition, the tabletop and the stand are coupled together with a snap-fit. The snap-fit comprises detents between the tabletop and the stand. Each detent is biased into a respective hole along an axis between the detent and the respective hole.

Abstract: A method of fabricating a thermally insulating stretchable down feather sheet is described. The core of the sheet is comprised of down mixed with a binder mixture which exhibits elastic properties. The binder mixture consists of heat fusible stretchable glue particles and heat fusible elastomeric binding strands in dry form. The core is sandwiched between a bottom and a top stretchable elastomeric sheet having multi-directional stretchability. The core of down and the binder as well as the elastomeric sheet are bound together by heat treatment to provide a down insulating sheet which is stretchable in all directions without fractioning the sheet and which is capable of recovering substantially its original relaxed form after stretching or deformation.

Abstract: A drinking vessel product includes a wine glass with an inner cavity filled at least partly with wine. The wine glass has a body that defines the cavity, an upper opening that is sealed with a removable seal such as a metal foil, and a smaller fill opening at the bottom. The glass includes a support that is attached to the body and that includes a pedestal, a stem and a stop formation that seals the fill opening. The body and support are molded from plastic materials. The cavity is filled with wine after the upper opening has been sealed, by inverting the glass and filling it from the fill opening, before fitting the support to seal the fill opening.

Abstract: An integrated system that includes a container configured to store a consumable liquid and a flexible, expandable straw secured to the inside of the container for consumption of the liquid. The straw can assume a first collapsed position inside the container and a second expanded position (e.g., when pulled) that extends away from the bottom of the container and past an upper rim of the container for consumption of the liquid through the straw. Use of a flexible, expandable straw in the above manner facilitates stackability of a plurality of such containers by allowing the straw to initially be compactly stored adjacent an inside bottom of the container before being pulled outwardly to allow for consumption of the beverage in the container. Securement of the straw to the inside of the container reduces the likelihood of ingestion by animals and the like.
