Publication number: 20190282304Abstract: An X-ray fluoroscopic imaging apparatus which can accurately perform enhancement processing of a device and can also reduce a burden on an operator is provided. An exclusion region E is set so as to surround an obstacle on an X-ray image generated by an image generation unit. A marker extraction unit extracts a marker from a region except for an exclusion region in the X-ray image. An integration unit superimposes a predetermined number of X-ray images on the basis of the position of the marker to generate an integrated image. In this case, detecting obstacle as a marker can be avoided, so the integrated image becomes an image with a stent suitably highlighted. Even in cases where it is difficult to set the region-of-interest so that an obstacle falls out of the range, such as a case in which an obstacle overlaps or is in proximity to a stent, it is easy to set the exclusion region so that the marker is out of range and the obstacle falls within the range.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2018Publication date: September 19, 2019Inventor: Shota SATO

Publication number: 20190282347Abstract: Apparatus and methods for endodontic treatment of teeth provide effective cleaning of organic material (such as pulp and diseased tissue) from the root canal system. In an embodiment, a compressor system generates high pressure liquid (e.g., water) that flows through an orifice to produce a high-velocity collimated jet of liquid. The high-velocity jet is directed toward a surface of a tooth, for example, an exposed dentinal surface, and impingement of the jet onto the surface generates an acoustic wave that propagates throughout the tooth. The acoustic wave effectively detaches organic material from dentinal surfaces and tubules. The detached organic material is flushed from the root canal system by the liquid jet and/or by additional irrigation.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 27, 2019Publication date: September 19, 2019Inventors: Morteza Gharib, Joshua Adams, Erik Hars, Bjarne Bergheim, Karl Stocks, Lance Doherty

Publication number: 20190282351Abstract: The present invention relates to a resorbable polymeric mesh implant, that is intended to be used in the reconstruction of soft tissue defects. The mesh implant has at least a first and a second material, wherein the second material is substantially degraded at a later point in time than the first material following the time of implantation. The mesh implant is adapted to have a predetermined modulus of elasticity that gradually is decreased until the mesh implant is completely degraded and subsequently resorbed. Due to the gradual decrease in the modulus of elasticity of the inventive mesh implant, the regenerating tissue may gradually take over the load applied to the tissue defect area. Interstices between individual filaments of multifilaments create a capillary effect for cells within the body.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2019Publication date: September 19, 2019Applicant: NOVUS SCIENTIFIC ABInventors: Torbjörn MATHISEN, Henrik Magnusson
