  • Patent number: 10506439
Abstract: A secure element (SE) in a device processes profile policy rule (PPR) update information received in a message. The SE uses a rule authorization table (RAT), when processing the message, to control whether a PPR ON/OFF state will be adjusted. The PPR information identifies a profile. For example, a mobile network operator (MNO) in control of the profile may specify a policy indicating that the profile is to be deleted when the profile is disabled. The SE consults the RAT to determine verification rules for the identified policy. In some embodiments, public key infrastructure techniques authenticating a signature are used to verify that the MNO has signed the message. If the signature fails the verification, no change is made to the PPR ON/OFF state.

Abstract: A radio terminal (3) operates to perform a predetermined process regarding a first cell (Cell #2) on an unlicensed frequency (F2) based on a predetermined relationship between a frame timing of a first serving cell (Cell #1) using a licensed frequency (F1) and a frame timing of the first cell (Cell #2) using the unlicensed frequency (F2). This contributes, for example, to enabling a radio terminal to differentiate among two or more cells when these cells use the same cell identifier.

  • Patent number: 10506449
Abstract: A disclosed system quantifies the power distribution of a wireless signal within a constrained environment using non-sequential ray tracing. For each ray, one or more ray-reflecting surface is prescreened to identify collision-eligible surfaces and identify a collision surface from the collision-eligible surfaces, wherein the collision surface is the first ray-reflecting surface that a ray collides with. A power distribution component, indicating the position and power of a ray at a particular elevation within the environment, is added to a cumulative power distribution. If a reflected ray corresponding to each collision is calculated and satisfies ray eligibility conditions, a collision surface may be determined for the reflected ray. Collision surfaces may be identified by evaluating a target function for a number of ray positions, where the target function evaluates to zero when displacement between the ray and the ray-reflecting surface is zero.
