A fastening mechanism for adjustably securing the HaPP to the head of a wearer and an attachment mechanism on the hair covering in order to secure an additional head cover, such as a hat or wig, to the HaPP hair covering which allows the HaPP to be worn inside or outside during any general activity.

Abstract: Disclosed is a bulk item backpack composed of an upper frame portion and a lower frame portion that pivot with respect to one another and are adapted to carry a wide array of bulk cargo, including coolers. The backpack has a strap or plurality of straps to secure the backpack to the user, including a waist strap, shoulder straps, or both types of straps. Optionally the backpack may also include cargo straps for securing additional items, such as folding chairs or a storage box adapted for carrying loose items therein. The backpack of the present invention provides a frame that is ideally suited for simultaneously carrying bulky items and loose items that are difficult to carry at once and would normally require several trips.

In some implementations, the hammock may be configured to provide a leg well that supports the legs of a user without straining the knees. A method of constructing a hammock having a central portion that is elevated when hung is disclosed. By elevating the central portion of the hammock, the mid-line of a user's body (e.g., the lower back, hips, and/or legs) may be raised to the same or similar elevation as the head pocket and/or the leg well of the hammock.

Abstract: A self-righting toothbrush includes a shaft having a head section, a medial section and a tail section. The medial section has curved pivot surface configured to contact a horizontal support surface at a pivot point, the pivot surface allowing the toothbrush to roll on the support surface. An external ballast has an outer contour exposed at a surface of the shaft. The ballast is positioned to induce the toothbrush to roll on the support surface from an unstable orientation wherein the bristles are non-vertical, to a stable orientation wherein the bristles are vertical (up or down). In one aspect, the ballast has an irregular outer contour. In another aspect, the ballast outer contour is limited to the toothbrush medial section. In another aspect, the ballast outer contour provides a relatively flat reference protrusion of the pivot surface that is opposite from a relatively tall primary protrusion of the pivot surface.

The handle is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user positioning the bristles to brush a strand of hair. Each bristle comprises a wall that is annular so that the bristle is tubular. A plurality of barbs is coupled to and extends from the wall. The barbs are configured to scrape oil from hairs and to direct the oil toward the wall. The oil enters the bristle through set of holes. The bristle directs the oil to the pad, positioning the pad to absorb the oil.

Abstract: A process for creating multiple tufts for a tufted article comprises directing the initial filament bundle into a first channel, causing the bundle to move through the first channel while splitting the bundle into a plurality of tufts according to a predetermined pattern, and directing the plurality of tufts into the plurality of second channels such that each of the plurality of tufts has its own second channel. An apparatus comprises a first plate having a first channel for receiving a filament bundle, a splitting element for separating the bundle into the plurality of individual tufts, a second plate having a plurality of second channels for receiving the plurality of tufts, and a driving means for moving the filaments in the channels.

Abstract: An elevation working platform includes a lower support and an upper support. At least one group of X-type elevation mechanisms is provided between the lower support and the upper support. The elevation working platform further includes an elastic element. A first end of the elastic element is connected between two end points of a first support rod or a second support rod. A second end of the elastic element is connected to the lower support or a second hinging seat capable of sliding relative to the lower support. Using the X-type elevation mechanisms, the front and back positions of the upper support do not change in an elevating process of the upper support, the structure is simple and practical, and the cost is relatively low.

Abstract: A pullout lectern and shelf device are disclosed. The lectern is an angled or anglable substantially flat surface or portion thereof which is unobstructed in such a manner as to be designed for paper, books, small items, arms, or the like to rest thereon. A base unit has a top section, middle section, and bottom section, wherein each section has a different circumference than an adjacent section in one embodiment of the disclosed technology. The base unit has at least one shelf, and in some embodiments, three shelves. The lectern is slidably removable from the bottom section. An angle support mechanism attached to the lectern is operable to change an angle of the lectern relative to the base unit. The lectern has a mathematically similar shape to the base unit in some embodiments, this shape being one with at least six sides such as a hexagon or regular hexagon.

Abstract: A pad for supporting a user's wrists, lower arms, and keyboard while typing has a support panel, a shelf, a supportive liner, and a textured liner. The support panel is a semi-rigid piece of flat material that has the supportive liner covering a top surface and the textured liner covering a bottom surface. The shelf is connected along one edge of the support panel so that the shelf can act as a riser that supports one end of the keyboard. The shelf and the support pad work in concert to create a sufficiently level typing surface for the user. As such, the user's wrists do not need to be bent while typing. Specifically, a height of the shelf is less than a height of the support panel. This configuration enables the typing surface of the keyboard to be placed coplanar to the top surface of the pad.

The locking structure is configured to prevent movement of the adjustment structure when the adjustment structure is in position.

More specifically, the invention is directed to a posture correcting chair including a seating component, a pump mechanism, and a frame assembly. The seating component may include an inflatable element and a base element. The inflatable element and the base element form a housing. The pump mechanism may include a pump—such as a mechanical or electrical pump—for pumping a medium into or out from the housing such that an occupant of the seating component may maintain a good posture.

Abstract: The invention involves a system and method for constructing lawn furniture. The system includes box type beam members as well as a large box structure supported above a ground surface. The box structure provides rigidity and stability to the furniture while also functioning as storage space. The components are formed to ship in a dissembled compact state and snap together with minimal use of fasteners and tools.

Abstract: Seat with backs are constructed incorrectly. The problem is the curve at the thoracic region in the chair back that pulls a person into a c-curve skimp. All previous attempts to correct this problem focus on the wrong area (cervical, lumbar or full back) or are shaped/sized incorrectly. Our Seat Device to Correct the C Curve Posture While Sitting fixes this problem. It is does so for three reasons: because of its specific placement at the thoracic region only, that it is constructed to be evenly flat for support to hold the spine in correct alignment, and how the seat device attaches depending on specific seating challenges.

Abstract: Hybrid coil and air chamber assemblies for cushioning supports generally include pressurized air chambers that are positioned intermediate strings of pocketed coils. In this manner, the coils and air chambers can move independently but can be made to cooperate to provide firmness control, contouring and/or support of a user thereof. Air pressure within the air chambers can be independently adjusted to manipulate firmness and/or contour properties in specific zones defined by the presence and location of the air chambers, e.g., pressure of the air chambers corresponding to the lumbar region can be adjusted to eliminate high pressure points. Still further, the pressure within the air chambers can be automatically adjusted to different applied loads as a function of movement. Also disclose are processes for adjusting a mattress including the hybrid coil and air assemblies.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a child wrap, which may be in the form of a continuous piece of fabric and include a center panel, left and right shoulder straps, a bottom strap, and left and right panels, at least one of which is elongated. The panels preferably attach to one another via hook and loop fasteners as they wrap around the child. Preferably, the child's arms are free while wearing the wrap.

A plurality of apertures or a channel may be formed in the frame about the dado. The plurality of retainers may mount to the frame within the plurality of apertures or the channel of the frame to retain the planar display pane within the frame.

Abstract: A cord with an outer fabric covering over a sheath and draw string is used to secure a sheet to a bed. The cord has a series of clips attached there-to by a second cord or by direct attachment. The clips are in turn removably attachable to edges of a sheet. One then tightens the draw string, reducing the length of the cord, and continues to do so until the sheet is pulled to a bottom side of the mattress. In this manner, the sheet ends are beneath the mattress and tightened thereto by the cord. The cord further snaps to itself, in embodiments of the disclosed technology, to form a closed loop around the bed.
