  • Patent number: 10524961
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for printing and drying inks on substrates. Printing systems may include a metering device positioned between a printing station and a light source. During operation, the printing station deposits ink onto a substrate to define a printed region. And the light source directs infrared light onto the substrate to define an illumination zone. The printed region is advanced from the printing station to the metering device and from the metering device through the illumination zone, wherein the ink is dried with infrared light traveling from the light source, which also heats the substrate and changes the modulus of elasticity of the substrate. In turn, the metering device isolates the printing station from the change in the modulus of elasticity to help reduce phase shifts caused by changes in the modulus of elasticity resulting from heat in the substrate.

  • Patent number: 10524974
Abstract: A trunk supporting exoskeleton comprises: a supporting trunk; thigh links configured to move in unison with a wearer's thighs; and first and second torque generators located on both left and right halves of the wearer substantially close to the wearer's hip. The torque generators couple the supporting trunk to the thigh links, and generate torque between the thigh links and the supporting trunk. When the wearer bends forward such that a predetermined portion of the supporting trunk passes beyond a predetermined angle from vertical, a torque generator(s) imposes a resisting torque between the supporting trunk and the thigh link(s), causing the supporting trunk to impose a force against the wearer's trunk, and the thigh link(s) to impose a force onto the wearer's thigh. When the predetermined portion does not pass beyond the predetermined angle, the torque generators impose no resisting torques between said supporting trunk and respective thigh links.

  • Patent number: 10525008
Abstract: The invention relates to a microencapsulated amino acid composition and methods of manufacturing this composition. Amino acids, such as branched-chain amino acids, have low water solubility, poor hydrophilicity, and poor stability. Amino acids are thus difficult to be digested and absorbed. Consequently amino acids can hardly meet human needs of consuming. This microencapsulated amino acid composition that can quickly disperse and dissolve in cold water, resulting clear solution. The method includes (1) adding coating agents, wetting agents, or other excipients to the amino acid mixture, (2) modifying the surface of microencapsulated particles to considerably accelerate the wetting speed. In this composition, the weight ratio of amino acids and excipients is from 100/0.1 to 100/10.0.
