  • Patent number: RE47822
Abstract: In a building equipped with a plurality of motion-enabled chairs such as a movie theatre, the vibration of the motion-enabled chairs adds up and may damage the foundation of the building especially at the resonance frequency. The present application describes a system and method for controlling the resulting vibration by introducing an alteration such as a delay or an inversion in the motion signals sent to the motion-enabled chairs. This delay causes the vibration of some motion-enabled chairs to be de-phased from the vibration of the other motion-enabled chairs. Whereby, the intensity (magnitude) of the resulting vibration is reduced. Control of the motion-enabled chairs may be done centrally through a central controller, or locally at selected motion-enabled chairs.

  • Patent number: RE47823
Abstract: A valve lifter with a variable lift mechanism is required to be deployed at a predetermined angle with respect to a cam unit, and the present invention is intended to achieve this requirement with a simple configuration without too much processing such as a fitting of the conventional longitudinal groove and a pin. A cam sliding contact surface of a valve lifter on which a high lift cam and a low lift cam slides is formed to be a smooth inclined surface and a cam slide starting point is lower than a cam slide terminating point, thereby establishing an elevation difference between the cam slide starting point and the cam slide terminating point.

  • Patent number: RE47824
Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for encoding or decoding a signal corresponding to a high frequency band in an audio signal. The method and apparatus for encoding a high frequency band detects and encodes frequency component(s) according to a pre-set criterion from a signal corresponding to a frequency band higher than a pre-set frequency and encodes energy value(s) of a signal to reconstruct band(s) in which the detected frequency component(s) are included. The method and apparatus for decoding a high frequency band decodes the signal by adjusting a signal to reconstruct a band in which important frequency component(s) are included by considering an energy value of the important frequency component(s). Accordingly, even though encoding or decoding is performed using a small number of bits, there is no degradation in sound quality of a signal corresponding to a high frequency band, and thus coding efficiency can be maximized.

  • Patent number: 10537052
Abstract: A tool carrier has a carrier frame and ground tools, and a front end of the carrier frame is connected to a wheel supported tool bar frame. A crank arm is pivotally attached to the tool bar frame about a crank axis oriented horizontally and perpendicular to an operating direction. A front end of the carrier frame is pivotally attached to the crank arm about a carrier axis parallel to the crank axis, and a hydraulic cylinder attached between the crank arm and the tool bar moves the tool carrier from an upward transport orientation to a rearward extending horizontal operating orientation, and maintains the tool carrier horizontal while moving it from a headland position above the ground to a working position where the tools penetrate the ground. When the tool carrier assembly is in the working position, the hydraulic cylinder exerts a downward bias force on the tool carrier.

  • Patent number: 10537054
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an applicator having an agricultural product pneumatic conveying system which meters particulate material from one or more source containers at the application equipment and transports the particulate material to evenly distribute the particulate material from the applicator. The pneumatic conveying system employs supply lines connected between the metering devices at the source containers and delivery nozzles. The conveying system also includes a dynamic baffle system that directs the air flow towards a supply line detected as having increased resistance to the air flow in order to equalize the air flow into each of the supply lines. The baffle system accomplishes this by obstructing a portion of the air flow towards a supply line having less resistance to the air flow and concurrently re-directing the obstructed portion of the air flow into the supply line with higher air flow resistance.
