Abstract: An image-recording apparatus includes: a first tank defining a first storage chamber; a second tank defining a second storage chamber; a conveying mechanism for conveying sheets along a conveying path extending in a depthwise direction and a widthwise direction perpendicular to a vertical direction and the depthwise direction; and a recording head including a nozzle. Liquid in the first storage chamber is supplied through a communication port to the second storage chamber and then to the recording head through a liquid outlet port. The second storage chamber is positioned further in a first depthwise direction relative to the nozzle and further in a first widthwise direction relative to the conveying path. A volume of a prescribed space above a liquid level equal to a height of the communication port in the second storage chamber is greater than that of a liquid channel between the liquid outlet port and the nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20200031137
Abstract: This disclosure provides a solution to the problem of metal printing where the printer leaves an undesired “border” or “margin” around the edge, as the printer sensors detect the edge of the metal plate and stop printing before reaching the edge. The system and method disclosed herein comprises a metal plate removably associated with a carrier, where the carrier is larger than the metal plate such that the metal plate is positioned entirely within the perimeter of the carrier. The metal plate has a special receptive coating that allows ink from an inkjet printer to adhere to the metal plate without running. The carrier has an external coating that mimics the metal plate such that the sensors of the printer do not detect any “edge” of the metal plate and print over, onto the carrier. This creates a borderless final printed picture.

The first wall extends within ±20° of the circumferential direction, the second wall extends within ±10° of a lateral direction, an average angle of sipes formed in one of the center blocks and the shoulder blocks is smaller than or equal to 90°±10° with respect to the equator for a first region, smaller than or equal to 130°±10° for a second region, and smaller than or equal to 70°±10° for a third region, and each of the sipes includes at least one bent portion.

Abstract: Provided is a pneumatic tire. Center blocks in a center region of a tread section are arrayed to form a pair between which are interposed inclined grooves inclined with respect to a circumferential direction. The center blocks straddle an equator from one side to the other. Notches composed of a first and second walls connected in a V shape are in treads in each center block. The first walls extend at an angle within ±20° with respect to the circumferential direction. The second walls extend at an angle of ±10° with respect to a width direction. Inclined grooves are each constituted by a see-through portion and an expanded portion having a larger groove width than the see-through portion. A width of a see-through region that can extend without intersecting an extension line of the see-through portion is made to be equal to or greater than 30% of a tread width.

Abstract: The present subject matter generally concerns the detection of tire tread using a sensor attached to the underside of the wheel well of a vehicle. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for the detection of tread wear on a tire. The signal analysis used measures the tread wear on the tire and transmits that information. A system for determining tread wear of a tire includes a first wireless communication chip located in a sensor attached to the wheel well of the vehicle.
