  • Patent number: RE47878
Abstract: Obtaining channel quality information in a wireless communication network is described. A base station allocates a resource to remote stations in order to receive channel quality information back from remote stations. The resource allocated to a remote station contains no higher layer data. A scheduler in the base station uses the channel quality information in order to schedule remote stations and/or to decide on the channel coding and/or modulation to be applied to the data transmission. A mechanism is provided to ensure that data transmitted on HS-DSCH is not transmitted to higher layers. This may provide a convenient method of obtaining channel quality information allowing for improved scheduling and thus improved performance of the communication system.

The conditioning element may be a blade extending vertically downwardly along the center line of the body and having a leading edge sloped rearedly from front to back. In alternative embodiments, the conditioning element may have a triangular or rectangular shape or may be in the form of a fluted coulter. The conditioning element acts to till the ground vertically and break up compacted soil as the sweep is drawn along the ground.

  • Patent number: 10568253
Abstract: A small-scale land prep and maintenance equipment system includes a universal frame with a tongue element that includes an implement connection point (such as a through-hole or threaded hole) configured for receiving a saddle and bolt aspect of an implement. Advantageously, the implement connection point of the universal frame and the saddle of the implement provide for a robust and rigid connection between the universal frame and an implement while also enabling quick changeover of landscaping implements. Moreover, because the universal frame may be used on any number of implements, the cost of an integrated frame in each implement is avoided.

  • Patent number: 10568254
Abstract: An attachment system for removably attaching an implement under a vehicle. The mounting system includes a vehicle frame. The vehicle frame has a pair of spaced apart frame portions. Each of a pair of hitch receiving points is connectable with a respective one of the frame portions. An implement includes support structure extending for a length. A pair of hitch pins is associated with the support structure. The hitch pins are spaced apart in a direction along the length of the support structure. Each hitch pin is for attachment to a respective one of the hitch receiving points. A structural member is associated with the support structure and has a portion adapted to attach to structure outboard of a frame portion. A lift mechanism is connectable with a portion of the vehicle frame. The lift mechanism is attachable with the structural member to move the hitch pins relative to the hitch receiving points.

  • Patent number: 10568255
Abstract: An engine is operated to produce exhaust emissions containing carbon nano soot therein which are injected into a solubilizing tank containing nitic acid and carbonic acid in a water solution for solubilizing the carbon nano soot as carbon nano tubes. A gas flow exiting the tank is captured such that some water and some solubilized carbon nano tubes are carried with the gas flow for subsequent delivery to a plant growing medium, either directly or by storing the water and solubilized carbon nano tubes carried with the gas flow in a tank for subsequent application. The solubilizing tank may be supported on agricultural seeding implements or sprayer implements for direct application to crop covered ground. In an irrigation system, the gas flow from the solubilizing tank is directed towards a condensing tank for subsequent application of the condensate to a plant growing medium with irrigation water.

  • Patent number: 10568256
Abstract: A seed metering system includes a volumetric meter and a plurality of row units. Each and every one of the plurality of row units includes a singulating meter, a bypass conduit, and an outlet that is common to and downstream of the singulating meter and the bypass conduit. The seed metering system further includes a dispersion unit including an inlet and a plurality of outlets and operable to disperse the plurality of seeds from the volumetric meter to the plurality of row units. The seed metering system is operable in a first mode of operation in which the volumetric meter communicates with each singulating meter via the dispersion unit to singulate the plurality of seeds. The seed metering system is operable in a second mode of operation in which the volumetric meter communicates with each bypass conduit via the dispersion unit such that the plurality of seeds are not singulated.
