Each of the blade assemblies has a plurality of blades that extend radially outward from a shaft. The shaft can be coupled to a suitable land, sea or air vehicle (e.g., a ship). The blades of the first blade assembly lie above and alternate out of phase with the blades of the second blade assembly. Each of the blades of the first and second blade assemblies slopes downwardly relative to the shaft such that the leading sides thereof are located lower along the shaft than the opposite trailing sides. The blades of the first blade assembly are aligned with respective ones of the blades of the second blade assembly to establish substantially continuous and long downwardly sloping surface areas capable of maximizing the propulsion force generated by the propeller.

Abstract: The present invention is realized by apparatus and methods for harvesting, storing, and generating energy by permanently placing a large rigid buoyant platform high in the earth's atmosphere, above clouds, moisture, dust, and wind. Long, strong and light tethers can connect the buoyant structure to the ground which can hold it in position against wind forces. Weights suspended from the buoyant platform with cables are raised and lowered by electric winches to store and release gravitational potential energy. High voltage transmission lines electrically connect the platform to the earth's surface. Electrical energy from the high voltage transmission lines or from photovoltaic arrays on the platform can be stored as gravitational potential energy and subsequently released as electricity from generators driven from the stored gravitational potential energy and used on the platform or transmitted via the high voltage transmission lines.

Abstract: An aeronautical vehicle that rights itself from an inverted state to an upright state has a self-righting frame assembly has a protrusion extending upwardly from a central vertical axis. The protrusion provides an initial instability to begin a self-righting process when the aeronautical vehicle is inverted on a surface. A propulsion system, such as rotor driven by a motor can be mounted in a central void of the self-righting frame assembly and oriented to provide a lifting force. A power supply is mounted in the central void of the self-righting frame assembly and operationally connected to the at least one rotor for rotatably powering the rotor. An electronics assembly is also mounted in the central void of the self-righting frame for receiving remote control commands and is communicatively interconnected to the power supply for remotely controlling the aeronautical vehicle to take off, to fly, and to land on a surface.

Abstract: The invention relates to aviation equipment. An object of this invention is to develop a new aerodynamic device which can extend the range of aerodynamic devices for aviation, increase the efficiency of the air flow power use, increase the efficiency of the lifting force and improve the efficiency of controlling the wing resultant forces. For this purpose, the aerodynamic device has an aerodynamic wing (2) with a blower (1) of gaseous working fluid (such as air) mounted above the wing (2), in accordance with the invention, the aerodynamic wing (2) has a specific shape it is designed in the form of a double-curved open surface made up by a system of longitudinal grooves (7,8) along the whole wing surface The wing (2) has a convergent segment (4) and a divergent segment (6); between the convergent and the divergent segments there is a smooth transitional segment (5). The wing outlines have end elements (11).
