  • Patent number: 10589425
Abstract: A method controls a remote robotic avatar based on a description of a physical object. A message transmitter transmits a message to a remote robotic avatar instructing the remote robotic avatar to identify a physical object at a second location, where an appearance of the physical object is described in the message. One or more processors determine a first position at the first location relative to the first object, also determine a second position at the second location that correlates with the first position by being a scaled distance away from the second object relative to the remote robotic avatar. The message transmitter transmits a message directing the remote robotic avatar to reposition itself to the second position at the second location, and to initiate a teleoperative session between the first person in the first location and the remote robotic avatar at the second location.

Abstract: In a stator injection molding centralization technique, a mold core is disposed inside a stator tube, thereby forming an annulus between the stator tube and mold core. The mold core includes a pitch length defined between a first and second lobe tip of the mold core. A centralizing member is positioned in the annulus, which has a length at least as long as the pitch length of the mold core. During the injection molding process, elastomeric material is injected into the annulus behind the centralizing member, which is located adjacent to the injection point. As the elastomer is injected, it displaces the centralizing member ahead of it along the annulus. As the centralizing member moves through the annulus, it supports the mold core, thus preventing the sag effect.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for implementing adjustable curing of layers of deposition materials, including ultraviolet (UV) light or photo curable ink layers, used in the formation and/or manufacture of three-dimensional (3D) printed parts, objects and components, particularly those parts, objects and components formed in 3D printers and additive material manufacturing systems such as 3D jetted ink printing systems. A multi-layer (or layer-by-layer) history of the deposited materials is developed by which to adjust an intensity of an addressable curing unit to provide complete curing to a particular layer without introducing damaging effects that may be caused by over curing the particular layer. The applied curing energy will differently penetrate a number of layers based on constitutions and/or colors of the individual layers in the number of layers to be penetrated. Discrete addressable curing of the individual layered components provides correct curing to the individual layers.
