Patent number: 10675029Abstract: A linear surgical stapler includes an upper staple cartridge receiving half-section, a lower staple cartridge receiving half-section and a staple cartridge assembly. The staple cartridge assembly includes a cutting groove in which a reciprocating movement cutter is mounted. The cutter includes a bottom surface and a knife blade located at a far end of the cutter. The staple cartridge assembly includes a restricting member mounted therein and an elastic stopper. The elastic stopper abuts against the restricting member when the staple cartridge assembly is in an initial state. The restricting member breaks away from the staple cartridge assembly when the staple cartridge assembly is in a firing complete state, thereby preventing the cutter from sliding towards the far end of the staple cartridge. As a result, misfiring throughout the whole operation of the linear surgical stapler is prevented.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2018Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: TOUCHSTONE INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL SCIENCE CO., LTD.Inventors: Wangdong Chen, Yongwang Pei, Jing Zhou

Patent number: 10675048Abstract: In the case of an electrosurgical instrument, provision is made for a tool (16), for the operation of which at least one, preferably two pull/thrust elements (39, 40) and a sliding element (56) are required. The sliding element (56) is held between a pull/thrust element (39) and a thrust bearing, wherein the thrust bearing can be formed by means of a further pull/thrust element (40). This arrangement utilizes the fact that the sliding element must only be activated, when the pull/thrust element is tensioned tightly. This concept of guiding the sliding element at the pull/thrust element provides for the simple design of instruments comprising long shafts, wherein separate measures for laterally reinforcing the sliding elements do not need to be taken.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2014Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: Erbe Elektromedizin GmbHInventors: Joachim Guba, Lothar Mitzlaff

Patent number: 10675079Abstract: This invention relates to a novel surgical device scalable to small dimensions for thermally-mediated treatments or thermoplasties of targeted tissue volumes. An exemplary embodiment is adapted for fusing, sealing or welding tissue. The instruments and techniques utilize a thermal energy delivery means, for example an electrical energy source, to instantly elevate the temperature of a biocompatible fluid media within an electrically insulated instrument portion. The altered media which may then be a gas is characterized by a (i) a high heat content, and (ii) a high exit velocity from the working end, both of which characteristics are controlled to hydrate tissue and at the same time denature proteins to fuse, seal, weld or cause any other thermally-mediated treatment of an engaged tissue volume—while causing limited collateral thermal damage and while totally eliminating electrical current flow the engaged tissue volume.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2019Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: Tsunami MedTech, LLCInventor: John H.
