Publication number: 20200245574Abstract: This invention provides for communicating wirelessly with irrigation control valves. This can greatly simplify and lower costs for installation of new irrigation systems. It can also provide existing installations with an option to quickly add new irrigation stations without digging ground to lay pipe. A programmed watering schedule on an irrigation controller determines when the irrigation control valves open and close. A wireless controller transceiver unit obtains signals from the irrigation controller and transmits these signals wirelessly to a valve transceiver. The irrigation control valves open or close according to the signals received by the valve transceiver.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 4, 2020Publication date: August 6, 2020Inventors: Peter John Woytowitz, Christopher M. Publication number: 20200245597Abstract: The technology involved in this bird feeder is simply the resultant of naturally occurring consequences of applying force to a centrally balanced device. When any device, in this case a bird feeder, is hanging from its central point of balance any force applied to any point on the perimeter of this device will cause a condition of unbalancing the device. This force causing the unbalancing results in the whole device tilting away from the force applied instantaneously. In this case that is desirable to thwart squirrels from getting a foothold on the suet container thus denying them the feast they are seeking.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 5, 2019Publication date: August 6, 2020Inventor: Timothy McCown

Publication number: 20200245618Abstract: A controlled-release material sensitive and response to fouling organisms for an antifouling agent includes an encapsulating precursor and a crosslinking agent. A hyaluronic acid/polyL-lysine nano-shell controlled-release material is prepared by an alternating layer-by-layer self-assembly of hyaluronic acid and poly-L-lysine, and a polypropylene ammonium chloride/poly-L-glycine nano-shell controlled-release material is prepared by an alternating layer-by-layer sell-assembly of polypropylene ammonium chloride and poly-L-glycine. The crosslinking agent is composed of 1-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-3-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride and N-hydroxythiosuccinimide. Based on the specific catalytic hydrolysis characteristic of fouling organism extracellular proteases on the controlled-release material, the purpose of adjusting the release of antifouling agents adaptively with the change of fouling organisms in off-season/peak-season can be achieved, prolonging the service life of the antifouling coatings.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2018Publication date: August 6, 2020Applicant: Luoyang Ship Material Research InstituteInventors: Li WANG, Cunguo LIN, Jiyong ZHENG
