  • Patent number: 10773921
Abstract: A first engaging part is located on an outer surface of a cord reel and protrudes in a first direction orthogonal to a rotation axis of the cord reel. A second engaging part is located on the outer surface of the cord reel at a position different from the first engaging part in a second direction along the rotation axis. A holder base has an opening through which the cord reel can be inserted in the second direction. One or more notches are formed along the outer periphery of the opening of the holder base and allows the first engaging part to pass therethrough in the second direction. When the cord reel is attached to the holder, the holder base is disposed between the first engaging part and the second engaging part in the second direction.

Abstract: The invention pertains to a method for recovering HCl from a HCl containing gas stream wherein a HCl containing gas stream with a temperature of ?20 to 25° C. is provided to an adiabatic absorption unit where it is contacted with water as an absorbent, resulting in the formation of a top gas stream and a aqueous HCl product solution, wherein the temperature of the top gas stream is at least 70° C. and wherein the aqueous HCl product solution has a HCl concentration in the range of 5-20 wt. %. It is preferred for the HCl-containing gas stream to be derived from a hydrogenation step wherein a feed comprising monochloroacetic acid (MCA) and dichloroacetic acid (DCA) is reacted with hydrogen to form a HCl-containing gas stream and a product stream comprising MCA and a reduced amount of DCA. The HCl product solution is preferably diluted to a concentration of 1-8 wt.

  • Patent number: 10773959
Abstract: Methods for representing crystal structure of inorganic materials in matrix form, and for quantitative comparison of multiple inorganic materials, can be employed to identify candidate materials with high potential to possess a desired property. Such methods can include conversion of an atomic coordinate set to a coordinate set for an anion only lattice, anion substitution, and unit cell re-scaling. Such methods can further include simulation of x-ray diffraction data for modified anion-only lattices, and generation of n×2 matrices from the simulated diffraction data. Quantitative structural similarity values can be derived from the n×2 matrices. The quantitative structural similarity values can be useful for structural categorization, as well as prediction of functional properties.

  • Patent number: 10773960
Abstract: A method for controlling density, porosity and/or gap size within a nanotube fabric layer is disclosed. In one aspect, this can be accomplished by controlling the degree of rafting in a nanotube fabric. In one aspect, the method includes adjusting the concentration of individual nanotube elements dispersed in a nanotube application solution. A high concentration of individual nanotube elements will tend to promote rafting in a nanotube fabric layer formed using such a nanotube application solution, whereas a lower concentration will tend to discourage rafting. In another aspect, the method includes adjusting the concentration of ionic particles dispersed in a nanotube application solution. A low concentration of ionic particles will tend to promote rafting in a nanotube fabric layer formed using such a nanotube application solution, whereas a higher concentration will tend to discourage rafting. In other aspects, both concentration parameters are adjusted.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for preparing coal-based, briquetted activated carbon. The method includes subjecting raw coal to a briquetting process, pulverizing the briquettes into particles, and performing carbonization and activation to obtain activated carbon. The briquetting process includes pulverizing raw coal to produce a feed, feeding the feed into a feed bin for degassing, adjusting the temperature and the water content of the feed in the feed bin, and feeding the feed in the feed bin into a briquetting apparatus for briquetting to form coal briquettes. The raw coal briquetting process of the preparation method is suited to a wide variety of coal, including non-caking coal. The preparation method yields a coal briquette product with a strength greater than 89% without any binder, which is beneficial to improve the strength and the like of activated carbon.
