  • Patent number: 10813264
Abstract: The present inventors have recognized that hydraulic cylinders for raising and lowering ground engaging tools of an implement can be synchronously controlled with respect to a prioritized primary set of tools, such as a section of tillage shanks for ripping compacted soil, which cylinder adjustment affects all other sections due to the arrangement of the primary set on the frame. A user can electronically command new ground engaging depths for the primary set and/or any secondary set of ground engaging tools. If the primary set is updated, the system can synchronously control the primary set and the other sections to adjust respective cylinders to achieve desired depths. However, if only a second set is updated, and not the primary set, the system can control only the second set to adjust its cylinder to the desired depth without affecting the primary set or any other second set.

Abstract: A system for remotely controlling hydraulic component of an agricultural implement towed by a work vehicle may include a vehicle-based valve assembly that selectively supplies hydraulic fluid to one or more supply lines of the implement. Specifically, a first supply line may be fluidly coupled to an implement-based valve assembly that regulates the supply of hydraulic fluid to a hydraulic actuator through a first actuator line. A second supply line may be fluidly coupled to the first actuator line downstream of the implement-based valve assembly such that when a user provides a control input at a remote interface, the vehicle-based valve assembly may instead regulate the supply of hydraulic fluid to the actuator. The supply of the hydraulic fluid through the supply lines may additionally be controlled by first and second override valves fluidly coupled to the first and second supply lines, respectively.

Abstract: A shear block mounting system secures a mounting plate of skid-mounted product application equipment to a frame of the applicator, utilizing a mounting bolt passing through a hole in the skid mounting plate, a mounting bar and a shear block. The shear block has a pilot that operatively engages a recess in the mounting bar in such a manner that shear forces are substantially transferred between the skid and frame substantially through the shear block pilot.

Abstract: A work vehicle incudes a traveling mechanism driven by a rotational power from an engine and an implement for effecting a ground work by the rotational power of the engine. The work vehicle further includes a load ratio calculation section 53 for calculating an engine load ratio indicative of an engine load of the engine, a ground speed calculation section 51 for calculating a ground speed of the vehicle body with using satellite positioning data, a slip ratio calculation section 52 for calculating a slip ratio indicative of slippage of the traveling mechanism relative to a ground surface by using the ground speed, a traveling work control section 4 for creating an appropriate traveling work state by controlling a rotational speed of the engine and a posture of the implement, and a traveling work management section 50 for outputting a state changing command that commands a change of the traveling work state, based on the engine load ratio and the slip ratio.

Abstract: In one aspect, a system for determining a position of a sensor mounted on an agricultural machine may include a ground speed sensor configured to capture data indicative of a ground speed of the agricultural machine. The system may also include a non-contact-based sensor configured to capture data indicative of a field characteristic of the field across which the agricultural machine is traveling. Furthermore, a controller of the system may be configured to determine a first ground speed value of the implement frame based on the data received from the ground speed sensor and a second ground speed value based on the data received from the non-contact-based sensor. Additionally, the controller may be configured to determine a position of the non-contact-based sensor relative to a field surface of the field across which the agricultural machine is traveling based on the first ground speed value and the second ground speed.

Abstract: A port interface for a pneumatic distribution system includes a first flow passage configured to receive fluidized particulate material from an outlet port of a header and to output the fluidized particulate material to an outlet line. The port interface also includes a second flow passage configured to receive a purging airflow and to output the purging airflow to the outlet line. In addition, the port interface includes a knife valve having a blade with a first opening and a second opening. The blade is configured to move between a first position in which the first opening is substantially aligned with the first flow passage and the second opening is substantially aligned with the second flow passage, and a second position in which the first opening is substantially aligned with the second flow passage and a solid portion of the blade is substantially aligned with the first flow passage.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an applicator having an agricultural product conveying system which transfers particulate material from one or more source containers to application equipment on demand, and meters the material at the application equipment. The conveying system includes an inline metering system including a number of metering devices associated with each compartment of a particulate material tank on the applicator to meter the particulate material disposed within each compartment. The individual metering devices include gates to initially enable the particulate material from a compartment to enter the metering device, and a rotary metering shaft to meter the flow of the particulate material into the conduits while limiting the passage of pressurized air through the metering device and into the compartment.
