Abstract: A footwear having a shock attenuating and cushioning sole is provided, including a base to which first and second wave elements are joined, each element including alternating crests and troughs. The crests are wide and can each form a ground contact surface, whereas the troughs can be narrower than the crests. Crests of one element are disposed adjacent the troughs of another element. The widths of the crests to those of the troughs can be in at least a 2:1 ratio. Forward and rearward ends of the elements are connected to the base, and the troughs intermittently join with the base to secure the elements between the ends and to impair lateral movement. Different groups of wave elements can be grouped together to form a forefoot section, a heel section and/or an arch section, with the sections separated from and compressible independent of the other sections.

Abstract: Presented are footwear sole structures with foot-cushioning insoles movably mounted onto impact-attenuating midsoles, methods for making/using such sole structures, and footwear fabricated with such sole structures. A multilayered sole structure assembly includes an insole movably mounted on a midsole. The midsole is formed with a first compressible material and includes opposing upper and lower midsole surfaces, multiple protrusions projecting from the upper midsole surface, and multiple pockets recessed into the upper midsole surface and interleaved with the midsole protrusions. The insole, which is formed with a second compressible material distinct from the first compressible material, includes opposing upper and lower insole surfaces, multiple protrusions projecting from the lower insole surface and interleaved with the midsole protrusions, and multiple pockets recessed into the lower insole surface and interleaved with the insole protrusions.

Abstract: A disposable waterproof bootsock is worn over foot and sock to protect from exposure to liquids, dirt and other contaminants in an environment that can penetrate footwear or reach above the ankle. The bootsock is secured about the wearer's calf and ankle using fasteners that accommodate a range of calf and ankle sizes and allow adjustment to the wearer's desired fit while maintaining the bootsock in position upright. One or more sealed compartments are provided to hold essential supplies.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a light-weight waterproof shoe/boot includes steps of cutting waterproof leather, arranging and stacking vamp section, forming through hot pressing, sewing heel section, hot-pressing heel section, combining midsole, and injecting sole to accompany fabrication of a waterproof shoe/boot, in which fabrication of a vamp section and a shaft section is accomplished through hot pressing the waterproof leather that is coated with a hot-melt adhesive; a sewing line of a heel section is covered by a heel water-resistant plate that is attached thereto through hot pressing to provide an effect of waterproofness; and a sewing line between a midsole and the vamp section is covered by an upper rim of a sole to achieve an effect of waterproofness. The vamp section and the shaft section are made with the waterproof leather that is light and thin so that the weight of the waterproof shoe/boot is greatly reduced.

The winding of the one or more continuous threads forms a thread pattern that imparts desired characteristics to components of the article of footwear. Thread lines of the thread pattern may be bonded together. In some embodiments, thread lines may be bonded with a bonding layer.

Abstract: One example embodiment in this disclosure provides an apparatus including a retainer, anchored at a heel position within a shoe. The apparatus also includes a heel strap having a first and second end and a mid-section, wherein the first and second end of the heel strap is anchored on a sole of a shoe, and wherein the mid-section of the heel strap is attached to the retainer. The apparatus also includes an adjuster associated with the heel strap configured to adjust length of the heel strap.

Abstract: A shoe with a shoe eyelet structure includes a flexible substrate, a plastic protective layer formed outside the flexible substrate, and a shoe sole connected to the bottom of the flexible substrate. The flexible substrate is a braided fabric or a textile fabric of an integral structure. Several shoe eyelet structures are provided on an upper side between a shoe toe portion and a shoe throat portion of the flexible substrate. One end of the shoe eyelet structure is fixedly connected to the flexible substrate, and the shoe eyelet structure protrudes from the flexible substrate and is suspended so as to be penetrated by a shoe lace and adjust the degree of tightness of the flexible substrate. Such a shoe is comfortable and is easy to manufacture.

In the device, a shaft and a shaft coupling part of a winding drum are simply coupled without a separate coupling member as a protruding portion formed on the shaft becomes caught in a catching portion formed on the shaft coupling part.

Abstract: Disclosed is a belt buckle including a surround and an ornamental plate arranged in an interior space defined by the surround. The ornamental plate is connected to the surround by a pivot that allows the ornamental plate to be reversed within the surround. The buckle includes a lock to hold the ornamental plate in position with respect to the surround in a first position that exposes a first face of the ornamental plate via an open upper face of the surround, and in a second position that exposes a second face of the ornamental plate via the open upper face of the surround. The lock includes a first element projecting along an edge face of the ornamental plate and a second element projecting on an interior edge of the surround and which are configured to lock together mechanically. Also disclosed is a belt including such a buckle.

Abstract: The Belt Ratcheting Device (BRD) facilitates unidirectional belt fastening and fast release. The BRD includes a turning gate rotatably installed diagonally in a channel. The turning gate has a blade holder with sharp blade front. Attached at the rear is a resilient plate which acts as a spring. The BRD has two states: “active” and “inactive”. In the active state the device works as a belt ratchet i.e. allowing the belt to be pulled forwards but restricting any belt motion backwards. In the inactive state the ratcheting is disabled and the belt is released. Usually, the BRD is kept in active state by a preloaded resilient plate. After fastening, the belt remains fastened until the BRD is switched manually into inactive state by pulling a latch. The blade's smooth side and channel's smooth surfaces minimize belt wear. BRDs facilitate belt fastening for garments and footwear.

The connectors are pivotally connected to one another as well as to the left and right frame side assemblies to facilitate folding of the chair frame to a collapsed and bundled condition where all the frame members are pivoted and/or slid relative to one another to a generally parallel condition. Each frame side assembly is supported on a fulcrum point for rocking movement of the chair frame. A rocker mechanism is attached to the chair frame to support the chair during rocking movement and to facilitate rocking of the chair in connection with the user's shifting weight.
