Abstract: A specially programmed machine and method generates propensity information based on inputs received from machines connected as part of an Internet of Things (IoT) environment, where the machine appends a predictive segmentation attribute to each data input received and generates a matrix based on the counts of each attribute-input combination. The attribute-input counts for each combination are converted to a statistical metric that represents propensity information for consumers fitting into the segment associated with the particular attribute. The propensity information can be relayed to a client in a variety of ways, including a direct display of the propensity information, appendage of the propensity information to the clients database, or using the information to provide an audience report to the client.

Abstract: A network system, such as a transport management system, efficiently allocates resources by monitoring the geospatial and topological locations of a rider responsive to receiving a trip request. A trip management module matches a rider with an available driver based in part on an comparison of the estimated times of arrival of the rider and the driver at the pickup location. A client positioning module monitors the rider's progress through nodes and edges in a topological graph associated with the origin location based on radio signatures received at the rider client device. A client ETA module calculates a rider ETA based on the rider's rate of travel through the origin location represented by nodes in the topological graph. Responsive to determining that the rider ETA and the driver ETA vary by over a threshold amount of time, the trip management module matches the rider with a second available driver.

Abstract: Pieces of location history data corresponding to an identified place of interest are obtained. Each piece of the obtained location history data references one or more signals detected at the identified place of interest and also references temporal data that corresponds to the detected signal(s). Some of the obtained pieces of location history data that represent one or more short, pass-through visits at the identified place of interest are identified. Based on the identified pieces that represent the short visit(s), conditions for determining the intent of future detected location visits at the identified place of interest are generated. Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for automatically determining and providing item reviews to users. In some examples, a computing device obtains review data identifying one or more reviews for each of a plurality of items. The computing device determines keywords for each of the items based on parsing the review data corresponding to each of items. The computing device may obtain data identifying engagement of items for a user during a browsing session, such as items a user has clicked on. The computing device may also obtain data identifying previous purchase transactions, or previous review postings, for the user. The computing device then determines, based on the obtained data, which keywords may be of interest the user. In some examples, the keywords are used to identify reviews of an item for the user. In some examples, summaries of the reviews are generated and displayed to the user.
