Abstract: A strap attachment device includes a strap connector configured to attach to a strap and a connecting plate secured on the surface of an article such as a bag or suitcase. The strap connector includes a connector post configured to removably engage and be secured by a locking member located beneath the connecting plate. The locking member is biased into a closed position by a mechanical biasing means, such as a spring. The connector post may include a flanged end configured to partially disengage the locking member causing the flanged end to mate with and be secured by the locking member responsive to being inserted into the connecting plate. A pull tab is further disposed on a pull track within the connecting plate. A user can disengage the connector post from the locking member by moving the pull tab along the pull track.

Abstract: A hair treatment device for use in the application of direct heat to foil-covered sections of hair, in order to accelerate a hair highlighting or hair coloring process, is described. The hair treatment device includes two opposing plates for transmitting heat. The foil-covered sections of hair are pressed between the opposing plates when the device is in use. The plates are set in a housing. Seals are located along edges of the plates, edges of the housing, or both, in order to protect the user's scalp from the heated plates. A plurality of venting passages pass through the plates.

The first cup has a first male thread, the second cup has a second male thread, the first driving member has a first female thread, and the second driving member has a second female thread. The male threads interact with the corresponding female threads to extend and retract the corresponding cups.

The makeup shield may include a visor made of a second nontransferable material that is more sheer than the nontransferable material. The flexible folding sling assists a user in carrying bag(s) having handles, or other objects that include handles or like structure. When used as a hand-sling, the sling engages the user's wrist in a secure and comfortable manner. This prevents load transmission through the easily tired hand muscles and ligaments, extending the amount of time the user can carry a load. This also allows the user to maintain use of her hand and fingers while the sling is used.

The projections are compressible from a first state to a compressed state under load and return to the first state upon removing the load. Abstract: A bottom fillable espresso cartridge base and apparatus and method for filling and plugging the bottom of the espresso cartridge base. The espresso cartridge base includes an open bottom and a press in bottom plug. The top of the espresso cartridge may be sealed by a foil lid or the like, or be open and an adhesive attachable lid may be included for attachment by a user. A first method utilizes a hand held multi-function tool including a cartridge holder with a holder lid to capture the espresso cartridge, and a bottom tamper and plug seating arm. A second method utilizes a stationary base residing on a flat surface, a cartridge holder to retain cartridges on the base, and individual tools to fill and tamp brewing material in the cartridge, and to attach the bottom plug to the cartridge.

Abstract: A brew module for use with a refrigerator appliance is provided. The brew module includes a brewing body removably mounted to a dispensing assembly of the refrigerator appliance. The brewing body defines a brew chamber configured to receive a brew pod and a flow of heated water from the dispensing assembly to mix with contents of the brew pod to create a beverage. Electrical contacts positioned on the brew module electrically couple the brew module and the dispensing assembly, e.g., to power a user interface panel and/or communicate data such as pod type, a desired temperature and volume of water, etc.
