  • Patent number: 10967205
Abstract: In one embodiment of an aircraft emergency oxygen delivery system, power can be generated by the flow of gas over a transducer disposed inside an oxygen delivery tube. A pressure differential gives rise to a temperature difference across the transducer, and the temperature difference can be converted to a voltage. The voltage can be quadratically dependent upon the Mach number M (e.g. flow velocities from 1 to 140 m/s) and proportional to a Seebeck coefficient of the transducer. The power thus generated may be used to operate LED indicators visible from the exterior of the tube, a variety of sensors, and wireless communication with a central control system. Oxygen flow to a mask may be adjusted based on ambient oxygen content and data collected from a passenger wearing the mask, including a blood oxygen saturation level, pulse or respiration rate.

  • Patent number: 10967236
Abstract: The technology provides practice aids for developing croquet skills and on-mallet playing aids for improving croquet play. The practice aids are used while practicing croquet and offer benefits such as immediate feedback and practice shot repeatability. The practice aids may include a swing trainer, a single ball shot trainer, a croquet shot maker, a cannon shot maker, a mallet alignment tool, a take-off trainer, a hoop maker, and a wiring trainer. The on-mallet playing aids are used while practicing and during croquet games since the rules of croquet allow a player to mark a mallet. The on-mallet playing aids offer benefits such as improved in-game shot setup and improved shot precision. The on-mallet playing aids may include a single ball shot playing facilitator, a take-off playing facilitator, and a croquet-shot playing facilitator. The practice aids and the on-mallet playing aids may offer different ways of achieving a same result.

  • Patent number: 10967237
Abstract: A multipurpose exercise device having a base that rests on a support surface and a user platform upon which the user stands. The lower end of a perpendicular support post is mounted to the base to axially pivot thereon and the upper end of the post is pivotally mounted to the lower surface of the user platform. The user platform pivots with the support post in a horizontal plane parallel to the support surface and pivots on the support post in a vertical plane perpendicular to the horizontal support surface. Resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the support post and the other end mounted to the base to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the horizontal plane. Preferably, a plurality of resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the base and the other end mounted to the user platform to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the vertical plane.

Abstract: A golf swing training apparatus and method of using the same. The swing training apparatus includes an orbital track and a carrier plate that connects a club shaft to the orbital track. The golf swing training apparatus guides the swing of the club shaft on a swing plan plane that is adjusted automatically to the golfer's anthropomorphic dimensions. A tension system provides a resistance during the golf swing to strengthen the muscles used in the golf swing. Repeated use of the golf swing training apparatus develops the golfer's muscle memory for maintaining the club shaft in a desired swing plane.

Abstract: Improved pitching machines capable of providing accurate, repeatable, and various pitches for training or simulation purposes (e.g., batting and catching). The pitching machine of the present invention may be operable to deliver pitches that each have a different predetermined trajectory, location, velocity (speed to target), and rotational velocity with repeatable precision and accuracy. Additionally, the pitching machine may be programmable and capable of simulating a pitch sequence, as thrown by a pitcher in a game situation, which provides a novel and effective tool for training batters.

  • Patent number: 10967241
Abstract: A match creation and management method and system are described, according to various implementations. In an implementation, a match is customized based on match information in response to a first selection from a user device. In response to a second selection from the user device, a match profile is configured associated with a plurality of players. For each of the plurality of players, a golf handicap index may be retrieved (e.g., from a third party source), where the golf handicap index is associated with each of the plurality of players. The golf handicap index may then be used at least in part to calculate a course handicap associated with each of the plurality of players. The course handicap may be used to allocate a plurality of stroke holes for each of the plurality of players.
