  • Patent number: 10980389
Abstract: A device for cleaning the base of a wall generally compromises an extendable handle retaining member that is free to swivel about a predetermined range of motion. This action also allows you to get into those hard-to-reach areas without bending, stooping, or kneeling for prolonged periods. The placement of the handle will allow the device to be steered or guided more easily than other wheelbase arrangements. A base member includes a plurality of wheels on a wheelbase to allow the base member to balance on its wheelbase unaided. This is also used for sturdiness and durability. This device has several cleaning attachments such as a sponge, a scouring pad, a dust mop, and a wringer mop to accommodate baseboards of various dimensions.

  • Patent number: 10980427
Abstract: A system and method for real-time, a closed-loop, complete body hemodynamic simulation of a patient undergoing a surgical procedure is disclosed. A simplified model of blood circulation that is nevertheless comprehensive and derives input representative of the patient's entire circulatory system, is mathematically modeled by a combination of 1-D mathematical models, and lumped parameter models. The system allows a clinician to select an intended intervention that is then computationally simulated in real, or quasi-real, time. The results of the simulation are presented as a heartbeat by heartbeat simulation of clinician selected, relevant hemodynamic parameters, allowing the clinician to decide whether or not to proceed with the intervention. The system includes accurate simulation of the effects of gravity, respiration and natural compensatory mechanisms, including the baroreflex.

  • Patent number: 10980429
Abstract: A method and system for blood pressure (BP) estimation of a person is provided. The system is estimating pulse transit time (PTT) using the ECG signal and PPG signal of the person. A plurality of features are extracted from the PPG. The plurality of PPG features and the PTT are provided as inputs to an automated feature selection algorithm. This algorithm selects a set of features suitable for BP estimation. The selected features are fed to a classifier to classify the database into low/normal BP range and a high BP range. The correctly classified normal BP data are then used to create a regression model to predict BP from the selected features. The current methodology uses automated feature selection mechanism and also employs a block to reject extreme BP data. Thus the available accuracy in predicting BP is expected to be more than the existing BP estimation methods.

  • Patent number: 10980431
Abstract: A monitoring device is included in a medical system to implement a method for prediction of a rapid symptomatic drop in a subject's blood pressure, e.g. during a medical treatment such as dialysis. To this aim, a pulse shape parameter (pPS) with respect to a pulse generator of the subject is registered by means of a pressure sensor arranged in an extracorporeal blood flow circuit coupled to a cardiovascular system of the subject (P). The pressure sensor is configured to detect pressure variations in blood vessels of the subject (P). It is investigated, during measurement period, whether or not one or more of the pulse shape parameters fulfil a decision criterion. An output signal (a) is generated if the decision criterion is found to be fulfilled, to indicate a predicted rapid symptomatic blood pressure decrease in the subject (P).

  • Patent number: 10980432
Abstract: A system for measuring blood pressure of a wearer of an inflatable cuff and a method thereof. The system includes a piston, a bar lever located to restrict at least some movement of the piston, a motor coupled to an actuator that is coupled to the bar lever, and a processor in communication with the motor. The processor is configured to receive pressure data associated with the inflatable cuff and is configured to, based on a determination that the pressure data satisfies a threshold, actuate the motor to move the bar lever in a first or second direction. Movement of the bar lever in the first direction causes the piston to move in the first direction, thereby increasing the flow rate of gas through a gas pathway. Movement of the bar lever in the second direction causes a decrease in the flow rate of the gas through the gas pathway.

  • Patent number: 10980435
Abstract: A method of identifying and locating tissue abnormalities in a biological tissue includes irradiating an electromagnetic signal, via a probe defining a transmitting probe, in the vicinity of a biological tissue. The irradiated electromagnetic signal is received at a probe, defining a receiving probe, after the signal is scattered/reflected by the biological tissue. Blood flow information pertaining to the biological tissue is provided. Based on the received irradiated electromagnetic signal and the blood flow information, tissue properties of the biological tissue are reconstructed. A tracking unit determines the position of at least one of the transmitting probe and the receiving probe while the step of receiving is being carried out, the at least one probe defining a tracked probe. The reconstructed tissue properties are correlated with the determined probe position so that tissue abnormalities can be identified and spatially located.
