  • Patent number: 11118281
Abstract: Ionic liquid bath plating systems, methods, and plating anodes are provided for depositing metallic layers over turbomachine components and other workpieces. In an embodiment, the method includes placing workpieces in a plurality of cell vessels such that the workpieces are at least partially submerged in plating solution baths, which are retained within the cell vessels when the plating system is filled with a selected non-aqueous plating solution. After plating anodes are positioned adjacent the workpieces in the plating solution baths, the plurality of cell vessels are enclosed with lids such that the plurality of cell vessels contain vessel headspaces above the plating solution baths. A first purge gas is then injected into the plurality of cell vessels to purge the vessel headspaces. The workpieces and the plating anodes are then energized to deposit metallic layers on selected surfaces of the workpieces utilizing an ionic liquid bath plating process.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of an improved water mat system comprise a plurality of polymeric, closed-cell foam panels, each of the plurality of panels taking any suitable shape and defining a top surface and a bottom surface. A plurality of hinge components are configured and placed to connect the plurality of panels and operable to transition the water mat system between a deployed state and a stored state. When the water mat system is in the deployed state the plurality of panels are positioned in an end-to-end arrangement such that the top surfaces of the panels collectively define a substantially common plane (i.e., the panels are laid out end-to-end). When the water mat system is in the stored state the top surface of a first one of the plurality of panels is juxtaposed to the bottom surface of a second one of the plurality of panels (i.e., the panels are stacked).

Abstract: A structure in flat-packable kit form to protect mailboxes from snowplow damage is provided. The kit includes four to six flat components that are stackable. Two of the components and foldable so as the be secured to each other, defining a deflection surface extending in generally orthogonal directions from a shared post sleeve. The post sleeve slidably receives a mounting post disposed between the road and a roadside mailbox, where the orthogonally oriented deflection surface blocks plowed or blown snow from impacting and demining the mailbox. The flat-packable kit may include gussets for reinforcing the deflection surface by way of the post sleeve in the assembled condition.

Abstract: Skid-steer type power unit engageable with an implement using an attachment assembly including an attachment frame and a hitch. An arcuate frame member is located forwardly of the attachment frame and is engaged therewith in such a way that the frame member pivots about a vertical axis located forwardly of the frame member and generally centrally positioned relative to the attachment frame. The frame member pivots in response to actuation of a hydraulic cylinder. The power unit includes a system for transferring weight of the implement rearwardly onto the power unit. A belt-drive power-take off system on the power unit powers the implement's operation. An underbelly drop spreader is located between the front and rear wheels of the power unit and a brine delivery system distributes brine from nozzles located rearwardly of the rear wheels. A unique control panel permits operation of all systems on the power unit and implement.

  • Patent number: 11118324
Abstract: A multi-backhoe linkage mechanism, operable for rotating an output link around an output axis of rotation of an output joint at a base, includes a first closed kinematic chain, including the output link, a connecting link, and an input link. The output link is connected via the output joint to the base and via a connecting joint to the connecting link. The connecting link is connected via a bridging joint to the input link. The first closed kinematic chain additionally includes a base link connected to the base and to the input link. One or more additional closed kinematic chains are connected in a series after the first closed kinematic chain. Each additional closed kinematic chain is connected to the previous closed kinematic chain such that actuation of the additional closed kinematic chain amplifies the angle of rotation of the output link around the output axis of rotation.
