Abstract: The invention is a brace that secures to a person's chest, waist and legs. The brace includes a chest frame that supports the anterior chest and and a thigh frame that supports the anterior thighs where the two frames are pivotably connected to each other. In addition, an extension spring links the torso frame and the thigh frame such that when a user is bending over, i.e. flexed or in a state of flexion, in which gravity is exerting a greater downward force on the torso, a counter-force is exerted on the person's chest, with the counter-force increasing in magnitude as the degree of flexion at the waist increases.

Abstract: This disclosure concerns a multicomponent bandaging system consisting of a lid, which can cover a wound in human skin, and a base, which is attached to the skin around the wound by adhesive and supports the edges of the lid, which can easily be removed and replaced many times to facilitate examining or treating the wound while the base remains in place. The bandaging system has multiple embodiments to accommodate various situations. An embodiment with generally planar components is very simple but may cause vertical pressure on the skin near the wound when the lid is removed or attached. Such pressure is avoided by alternative embodiments in which the components have non-planar parts. Some embodiments have a hinge on an edge of the lid which allows the wound to be uncovered without detaching the lid. The system is designed to be comfortable, convenient, easy, and quick to use.

Abstract: A novel technique for the fabrication of a casket dome lid from, for example, Smooth-One-Side (“S1S”) hardboard is disclosed. The invention is also directed to the fabrication of a casket lid which has a domed configuration both in the lateral and longitudinal directions of the lid. The method comprises the steps of providing a lid blank having a first end, second end, and a central region; providing a pair of diagonal voids oriented at corners of the first end of said blank and extending inward toward the central region; placing the lid blank in a vacuum fixture; and flexing the lid blank into a domed configuration via the vacuum fixture, such that the blank is domed in both a longitudinal and a transverse direction.

Abstract: The invention relates to a vibrating massage table (1) including a support leg (3) on which rests a table top (2) tilting about a joint (4) with a central axis (40) and permitting an inclination of a patient, said table top being subdivided longitudinally into several butt-joined transverse cushions (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) each adapted to a part of the body, one of the cushions (10), adapted to the ankles and the feet of the patient, being subdivided into two portions activated to vibrate alternately by at least one motor means. Said table includes means for modifying the height and/or means for modifying the inclination of at least one of the cushions by lifting one or the other of the transverse edges of said cushion. The platform is subdivided into two frames (21, 22) articulated to each other at the level of a joint (41), for an inclination between said frames.

Abstract: A walking assistance assembly includes a set of first legs forming an X a set of second legs forming an X. A frame is coupled to each of the first and second sets of legs. Moreover, the frame is horizontally oriented when the first and second legs are in an unfolded position thereby facilitating the frame to surround a user. Each of the first and second legs supports the frame thereby supporting the weight of the user to assist the user with standing. A plurality of rollers is each of the rollers is rotatably coupled to a respective one of the first and second legs and each of the rollers can roll along a support surface. A seat is coupled between the set of first and second legs for having the user sit thereon.
