  • Patent number: 11261610
Abstract: An adjustable suspension assembly for suspending a lower structure such as a platform from an upper structure such as a portion of a bridge. A chain, which is attachable at one end to the upper structure or to an end of a cable which is attachable at its other end to the upper structure, is attached at its other end to a device. The device, which is attachable to the lower structure, has a pair of aligned apertures in its side walls for receiving pins. The pins are spaced to receive a thickness of a chain link but not to receive a width of the link, whereby a selected link to achieve a desired lower structure height may be cinched between the pins. When the chain is attached to a cable, the cable has an eyelet formed by folding an end portion of the cable back over the cable and swaging the cable end portion to the cable. The chain is attached to said eyelet by receiving the end portion of the cable in one of the chain links before the cable end portion is swaged to the cable.

Abstract: A power actuation system for a motor vehicle closure panel includes a motor operable to pivot a driven gear. At least one pawl assembly is operably supported by the driven gear for movement between a lever driving position, whereat the pawl assembly is positioned to pivot a lever coupled to the door to pivot the door concurrently with movement of the driven gear, and a lever releasing position, whereat the pawl assembly is positioned to permit free pivotal movement of the lever and door relative to the driven gear. The pawl assembly includes a roller engaged with the lever for rolling movement therealong during movement of the pawl assembly between the lever driving position and the lever releasing position, which results in minimal static and kinetic friction, thereby lending to reliable, low effort movement of the pawl assembly between the lever driving position and the lever releasing position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of providing vacuum insulating glass (VIG) units each comprising at least a first and a second glass pane and a plurality of support pillars distributed between opposing surfaces of said glass panes to provide a gap (8) between the glass panes. A plurality of pane elements are provided, and individual topographic representations (TOPREP_2a-TOPREP_2n) of each of said plurality of pane elements (2a-2n) are obtained based on input (4) from a measuring arrangement (3), and the topographic representations are stored in a data storage (DS). The stored topographic representations are processed and resulting surface distance characteristic between pairs of panes are estimated. Vacuum insulating glass (VIG) assemblies are thus provided based on estimated resulting surface distance characteristics. The invention additionally relates to a system for providing manufacturing layouts and a manufacturing facility.
