Abstract: Techniques herein include methods of patterning a substrate using surface energy differences found in some fluorinated polymers or polymers with long chain alkyl functionality that promotes surface or top layer segregation in a bilayer polymer system to facilitate overburden removal when the polymer mixture is deposited over a relief pattern. The method allows for fast removal of the overburden to expose the anti-spacer region which, after acid diffusion and subsequent deprotection, is also soluble in a developer. Incorporating the highly developer-soluble polymer at the top of the top layer removes the need for the remaining polymer to have a specific dissolution rate in developer.

The pressure tool is arranged to output a hydraulic pressure at a pressure generation point The pressing tool is arranged to receive a hydraulic pressure at a pressing location and to press a press connector accordingly. The pressure tool and the pressing tool are connected via a hydraulic pressure transmission connection, the pressure generation location and the pressing location being remote from each other. A corresponding method for producing a tight connection of a press connector to a workpiece, in particular to a pipe made of a flexible material, preferably a plastic pipe, as well as a press force translator and a press tool are also described.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a repair apparatus, system, and method for structurally reinforcing an abnormal composite structural member. The repair is suited for reinforcing a cured composite structure that defines a strength tolerance and has an abnormality that reduces the structural strength relative to the strength tolerance of the cured composite. The structural reinforcement repairs the abnormality in the cured composite and provides the repair strength so that the repaired composite has a structural strength that meets or exceeds the strength tolerance. The structural reinforcement has a composite patch that is coupled to the cured composite over the abnormality and is covered by pressure-sensitive tape.
