Abstract: A radiation device is wirelessly connected to a radiography device that generates dynamic image data and which controls sequential radiation. The radiation device includes a signal generator and a first determiner. The signal generator generates (i) first pulse signals emitted by the radiography device, (ii) second pulse signals synchronized with a first count value obtained by counting up the first pulse signals, and (iii) a second count value obtained by counting up the second pulse signals. The first determiner determines whether to start radiation based on a delay time which is a difference between a first time point count value and a second time point count value. The first time point count value indicates a time point at which a radiation permission signal is transmitted. The second time point count value indicates a time point at which the radiation permission signal is received.

The reduced-reverberation ultrasound image is then output to a display.

Abstract: The present invention describes systems and methods for treating a hole in the septum, such as a patent foramen ovale or an atrial septal defect, with a closure implant designed to fluidly seal the hole to prevent blood from flowing between the right atrium to the left atrium. The closure implant includes two structures positioned on opposite sides of the hole in septum configured to close and seal the hole. The first structure is an expandable petal anchor having multiple petal groups with multiple petals of different sizes and/or shapes made of shape memory wire configured to be positioned on a distal side of the hole in the septum wall, and the second structure is a braided disk made of shape memory mesh positioned the proximal side of the hole in the septum wall, opposite the petal anchor. The braided disk is sized to cover the hole once it is expanded. The petal anchor is designed to pull and compress the braided disk against the septum wall to cover and fluidly seal the hole.

The needle or a stylet is combined with a spring mechanism in the hub of the needle or stylet assembly. The spring mechanism positions the tip of the needle or stylet in a middle position extending from the distal end of the assembly, allows the needle or stylet to be moved into a spring loaded fully retracted configuration within the assembly as the septal wall is tented, and then releasing the spring loaded needle or stylet as the needle or stylet penetrates the septal wall. A method of using a needle or stylet with a spring mechanism is included.

Abstract: A surgical apparatus is configured to support at least one bone cut for installation of a prosthetic component. The installed prosthetic component will have reduced alignment error. The surgical apparatus is configured to distract a first compartment to a first predetermined load value while allowing a moving support structure to pivot freely. A distraction lock mechanism is then engaged to prevent movement of a distraction mechanism that raises or lowers the moving support structure relative to a fixed support structure. The moving support structure has M-L tilt angle that is measured. A M-L tilt mechanism is engaged to forcibly equalize the first and second compartments. Engaging the M-L tilt mechanism prevents the moving support structure from freely pivoting. The at least one bone cut relates to the first and second compartments equalized and the M-L tilt angle.
