Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for a cooling bath designed to provide a sufficient and evenly distributed coolant flow throughout the bath. The cooling system includes a holding unit with a coolant distribution chamber that will distribute coolant through multiple distribution pipes beneath device chambers, promoting even distribution of coolant through the device chambers. An external pump causes coolant to be expelled from the cooling bath. The flow of coolant expelled from the cooling bath is controlled in a coolant separation chamber with a separation layer that bisects the coolant separation chamber. The separation layer is perforated with calibrated holes to slow down the speed of coolant exiting the cooling bath to prevent a funnel effect, protect the device chambers from coolant waves and coolant level fluctuation generated by the pump, and evenly distribute removal of hot coolant from the cooling bath.

Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting the likelihood that a member of a task facilitation service will delegate a given task for completion by the task facilitation service include providing data to a delegation likelihood model. The data may include, among other things, data collected about the member and past tasks of the member including whether the member delegated those tasks. The data may further include data for other members and tasks other than those associated with the task being analyzed. The task facilitation service may transmit an indication regarding the likelihood of delegation to an intermediary who may then decide whether to enable a delegation control for the task at a user interface of the member.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods that generate query templates that are expressed in a generic schema-agnostic language. The query templates can be generated “from scratch” or can be automatically generated from existing queries, a process which may be referred to as “templatizing” the existing queries. As one example, generation of query templates can be performed through an iterative process that iteratively generates candidate templates over time to optimize a coverage over a set of existing queries. After generation of the schema-agnostic query templates, the systems and methods described herein can automatically translate/map the templatized queries into “concrete,” schema-specific queries that can be evaluated over specific customer schemas/datasets. In this manner, a query template for a given semantic query (e.g., “return the names of all employees”), is required to be written only once.

Abstract: The emergence of cells with drug resistant and/or stem cell features might explain frequent relapses and the poor outcome of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). LSCs are heterogeneous for their phenotypes and their sensitivity to chemotherapeutic agents in vivo. Using in silico and functional approaches, the inventors uncovered that CALCRL is overexpressed in LSCs compared with normal hematopoietic cells. They further demonstrated that the CALCRL ligand adrenomedullin (ADM) is highly expressed in AML cells and that increased transcript level was markedly associated with decreased complete remission rates, 5-year overall and event7free survival. The inventors also showed that CALCRL depletion strongly affected leukemic growth in vivo and increased mice survival. Targeting ADM phenocopies the biological and anti-leukemic effects of the CALCRL depletion. These data highlight the critical role of ADM and disclose a promising therapeutic target to specifically eradicate R-LSCs and overcome relapse in AML.

Abstract: Provided herein are methods for treating a pulmonary infection in a patient in need thereof, for example, a nontuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary infection for at least one treatment cycle. The method comprises administering to the lungs of the patient a pharmaceutical composition comprising a liposomal complexed aminoglycoside comprising a lipid component comprising electrically neutral lipids and an aminoglycoside. Administration comprises aerosolizing the pharmaceutical composition to provide an aerosolized pharmaceutical composition comprising a mixture of free aminoglycoside and liposomal complexed aminoglycoside, and administering the aerosolized pharmaceutical composition via a nebulizer to the lungs of the patient. The methods provided herein result in a change from baseline on the semi-quantitative scale for mycobacterial culture for a treated patient, and/or NTM culture conversion to negative during or after the administration period.

Abstract: The invention relates to a computing system and a computer-implemented method for classifying images of retina of eyes of subjects. A captured image of a retina is processed to obtain a plurality of different segmented images each having different selected portions of the captured image using different selection rules. The multiple segmented images are provided to respective dedicated machine learning models to output an image classification based on the respective segmented images provided as input. An ensemble classification is determined based on the multiple classifications obtained by means of the multiple trained machine learning models.
