Abstract: A system and method provide the ability to control an architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) project workflow. AEC data regarding a quality of construction is obtained. A set of classifiers and machine learning models are obtained. The AEC data is augmented based on the set of classifiers and machine learning models. A risk metric is generated for one or more issues in the AEC data based on the augmented AEC data. The risk metric is interactively generated and presented on a display device. Work, project resourcing, and/or training are prioritized based on the risk metric.

Abstract: Computer tool determines target feedstock for a refinery, process complex, or plant. The tool receives a dataset of market conditions and preprocesses the data based on properties of the plant. Using the preprocessed data and machine learning, the tool trains predictive models. Each predictive model calculates a breakeven value of a candidate feedstock for the given plant under an individual market condition. Different predictive models optimize for different market conditions. A trained predictive model is selected based on a current market condition. The tool applies the selected predictive model and determines whether a candidate feedstock is a target feedstock for the refinery under the current market condition.

Abstract: Evolutionary learning techniques are used to validate and prioritize open source software libraries for subsequently determining the best open source software library for a specified technical project. Data associated with the open source software candidates is collected into a cluster and, at an eligibility layer, a fitness score is determined for each of the open source software candidate. Candidates that are determined to meet a required fitness score threshold are passed to the crossover layer, at which, software and hardware standards rules are applied to the open source software metadata to validate the open source software. Invalid candidates are held in queue and subjected to rework analysis. A mutation layer executes the crossover layer iteratively until a predetermined volume of open source candidates results. A ranking layer provides a prioritized ranking list, based on the fitness score, of those open source software candidates that have validated.

Abstract: A defects management system includes a server, a mobile computing device, and a local hub. The server has a database configured to store a plurality of records that respectively correspond to a plurality of products in an inspection line. The mobile computing device is configured to receive user input indicating a location of a defect on a selected product among the plurality of products. The local hub, in communication with the server, is configured to receive the user input from the mobile computing device and update a record among the plurality of records that corresponds to the selected product to include a defect indication in accordance with the user input.

Abstract: Provided are methods, including computer-implemented methods, devices, and computer-program products applying systems and methods for facility matching and localization. According to some embodiments of the invention, the location of a pallet at a facility within a supply chain may be determined from location data received from a beacon on the pallet. In some embodiments, the position of the pallet within the facility may also be determined. Thus, the status of pallets may be monitored as they move through the supply chain.

Abstract: The following relates generally to light detection and ranging (LIDAR) and artificial intelligence (AI). In some embodiments, a system: receives sensor data via wireless communication; updates an electronic inventory of goods within a store based upon the received sensor data associated with the item movement or purchase; receives an electronic order of goods from a customer mobile device via wireless communication or data transmission over one or more radio frequency links; determines if the goods in the electronic order received from the customer are still available; generates a LIDAR-based virtual map of the store; determines a location of the goods in the electronic order that are still available; overlays the determined location of the goods onto the LIDAR-based virtual map of the store; and displays an updated LIDAR-based virtual map of the store displaying aisles of the store and the determined location of the goods within the store.

Abstract: A system and method for tracking digital assets associated with video games. The digital assets may be in-game digital assets, such as in-game items or characters. The digital assets may be video game digital media assets representing moments of gameplay of a video game, such as video clips or images. The digital asset is created, and a distributed ledger tracking a history of the digital asset is created and stored across devices. A unique token for the digital asset can include a unique identifier and metadata identifying properties of the digital asset. Changes to properties of the digital asset, such as ownership, visual appearance, or metadata, can be identified in a request to update the history. A new block can be generated for, and appended to, the distributed ledger identifying the changes to the history of the digital asset. The new block can include hashes of previous blocks.

Abstract: An approach is provided for improving a workflow by using cognitive computing. Inputs about a claim of a claimant are received. The inputs include a history of claims by the claimant, an expected cost of processing the claim, a length of time the claimant has had insurance coverage, governmental requirements associated with the claim, a fraud score associated with the claim, and a ranking and a clustering of previously processed claims. Based on the inputs and using a cognitive computing system, a set of digital workers is selected. The set of digital workers complete step(s) in a current context of a processing of the claim in a workflow. Responsive to completing the step(s), a total number of steps required in the workflow is reduced.

Abstract: An industrial integrated development environment (IDE) supports collaborative tools that allow multiple designers and programmers to remotely submit design input to the same automation system project in parallel while maintaining project consistency. These collaborative features can include, for example, brokering between different sets of design input directed to the same portion of the system project, generating notifications to remote designers when a portion of the system project is modified, sharing of development interfaces or environments, facilitating involvement of outside technical support experts to assist with design issues, and other collaborative features.

Historical capacity requirements for geographic locations may be maintained. For each geographic location a forecast of future capacity requirements, for each week of a plurality of weeks, may be generated based on the historical capacity requirements. A plurality of documents may be generated for each geographic location based on the forecast and the first information. A value may be determined for each document based on a time and capacity commitment for each document, the historical capacity requirements, and the forecast. A user interface may be generated that includes the plurality of documents and corresponding determined values. The user interface may be updated to reflect acceptance of a specific document by a carrier in response to input received via the user interface.

The server may transmit the encoded data to the receiving institution and receive a response from the receiving institution. The response may include a recipient identifier and a recipient attribute. The server may mediate the payment from the sender closed loop account to the recipient closed loop account based on the receiving institution, the recipient identifier and the recipient attribute. For example, the server may perform clearing-and-settlement or switching-and-routing to mediate the payment.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for transactions with a private digital currency. The private e-currency may be backed by a financial institution, managed using a blockchain, and only available for transactions with members of a network associated with the financial institution. The members may include mobile wallets, merchants and ATM's. A mobile wallet may register with the network and receive an amount of the private e-currency from the financial institution. The mobile wallet may establish a connection with a payment recipient such as another wallet, an ATM or a merchant, and receive a payee address. The mobile wallet may send a transaction request to the blockchain for payment to the payee address of a payment amount of the private e-currency, so that the payment recipient can, using a blockchain, confirm or deny the transaction request.

Abstract: The current disclosure may include a mobile robot having an ambulatory system capable of moving the robot at speeds of at least two miles per hour, a machine vision system, a communication system including a speaker that produces human-audible sounds and also configured to conduct wireless communication using a wireless communications link. Such communication may be conducted with a remote server. The robot may include a banking card receiving slot for receiving a banking card and a keypad for receiving a PIN. Some embodiments may include a document scanning and processing system in electronic communication with the communication system. In addition, the robot may use the document scanning and processing system to receive documents from the customer, scan and process the documents from the customer, and transmit information derived from the processing, to the remote server. Such information may serve to facilitate an interaction between the customer and an ATM.

Multiple payments types are integrated into the payment platform to support customer payments for merchants. The payment platform identifies payment types that are relevant to a customer based on receiving an indication to personalize payment types for the customer, and on customer data resources that are accessed. One or more relevant payment types are determined based on the information of the customer. The payment types for the customer are determined from a plurality of payment types supported via the payment platform that supports customer payment type personalization. A payment type from the one or more payment types relevant to the customer is automatically chosen or explicitly chosen by the customer, such that a corresponding payment type provider authenticates the customer in order to complete the transaction.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a method and a hardware and software system for collecting data from retail point of sale. The hardware connects to a wide variety of barcode scanners and receipt printers. Collected data is transmitted to a cloud-based infrastructure backend system using a wireless internet connection built into the hardware. The collected data can be processed to extract item-level transaction information, and estimate the price and in-stock status of items in particular shops. A search engine can be provided using this data, which allows a customer to discover which nearby shop has an item of interest in stock. A targeted advertising system that complements this search service is also presented. The data can be used by retailers and manufacturers for business analysis and optimization.

Based on the geo-location of the user at the time of processing and other nearby geo-location enabled device, the service provider may determine other users that share in the transaction and are associated with the user using messaging connections and shared data transmissions. The service provider may determine the transaction that the user processed. The service provider may request that the other users provide the required reimbursement to the user that processed the transaction data. The other users' devices may receive a push notification and data to perform transaction processing.

A user may securely transact with the website from unsecured devices by entering sensitive information into the trusted device. The identity provider may generate the QR code for display by the website on an unsecured device. A user running an application from the identity provider on the trusted device may scan the QR code to transmit the QR code to the identity provider. The identity provider may validate the QR code and may receive credential information to authenticate the user or may collect information for the website. Advantageously, the user may perform a safe login to the website from untrusted devices using the trusted device.

In some embodiments, an electrophoretic display card may store a set of location-specific card identifiers, where each card identifier of the set is associated with (i) an account of a user and (ii) creation location information indicating a device location of the user at a creation time of the card identifier. In response to being powered by a user device, the card may initiate wireless communication with the user device. The card may determine a device location of the user device, select a card identifier from the set of card identifiers that matches the device location, and switch a state of the card identifier to an active state to enable transaction processing for the card identifier. Abstract: A computer-implemented method comprising receiving a transaction request from a first node within the plurality of nodes, the transaction request corresponding to a pending transaction between the first node and a second node; identifying a distributed ledger associated with the pending transaction, the distributed ledger including a first record having a hierarchy file indicating a hierarchy among the first node, the second node, and the third node; identifying a second record having an executable file to approve the transaction request received from the first node; executing the executable file, wherein the executable file is configured to retrieve data from a data source associated with the third node and analyze data to approve or deny the transaction request; and appending a third record comprising the set of transaction attributes to the distributed ledger.

Abstract: Systems and methods for an account integration system include establishing, by a service provider device, a first session with a service provider account associated with a user. After determining that a second session between a user device and the third party account of the user is active, a first validation is caused to access third party account information associated with the second session. The third party account information and the service provider account information are concurrently displayed by a display interface of the service provider device. A transaction request for a transaction associated with the service provider account and the third party account of the user is received. Information is sent to cause a second validation of the transaction request by a provider of the third party account. In response to the second validation of the transaction request, the requested transaction is processed.
