A method of manufacturing a hydrogel film includes preparing a solution of a hydrogel-forming polymer, a functional ionic co-monomer, a polymerization initiator, an accelerator, and a solvent, transferring the solution to a mold and arranging the mold between two electrodes, applying a voltage to the electrodes to cause the ionic co-monomer to migrate towards an oppositely charged one of the two electrodes, and applying a polymerization energy to the solution to fix a position of the co-monomers within a resulting polymer matrix.

    Abstract: An anti-biofouling shape-memory composite aerogel includes a unidirectional chitosan aerogel channel, a plant polyphenol coating, and a polyphenol/iron ion chelate. The plant polyphenol coating is evenly distributed on an inner wall of the unidirectional chitosan aerogel channel, and the polyphenol/iron ion chelate is located at a top end of the unidirectional chitosan aerogel channel. The anti-biofouling chitosan-based composite aerogel has an evaporation rate of 1.96 kg·m?2·h?1 at an illumination intensity of 1 kW/m2. The composite aerogel has shape-memory properties, and can quickly restore its original shape in water after extrusion, thereby accelerating the diffusion of substances to complete the modification of inner channels. In this way, desirable anti-biofouling ability is achieved, and excellent structural stability as well as continuous and efficient photothermal water evaporation are guaranteed in a complex water environment.

    Abstract: A method of preparing layered hydrotalcite-like PVC heat stabilizer from vermiculite is disclosed, including the following steps. Vermiculite is pretreated to prepare nano scale vermiculite flakes. Fluoride, ammonia and water are added, and layered powder layered hydrotalcite-like compound and silica product are prepared through a series of reactions such as ultrasonic dispersion, which realizes the preparation of vermiculite functional products, and is applied to PVC products to improve the heat stability of PVC. The disclosure can directly prepare vermiculite base layered powder products, has the function of stripping layered vermiculite, and has the advantages of low reaction temperature and low energy consumption. In addition, the treatment agent fluoride can be recycled and reused, which is suitable for industrial production.
